I would suggest uninstalling the app, if it is app that you install, or buy. I also think that you should try getting a ipod touch trouble shooting book.

The first back up to iCloud may take some considerable time. Just how long isn't really possible to say without knowing how much is in your back up and your connection speed.
What many people don't realise is that upload speeds are often significantly less than download speeds, so for example a user may have a download speed of 40 Mbps, but only 1 Mbps for uploading. As a rough guide it will take around 2 ¼ hours to upload 1 GB of data at 1 Mbps.

I'm trying to manually activate my jet pack, but when I connect to 'my.jetpack' the screen has been saying it's activating for over an hour now.

It is just stuck at the activating screen on my jet pack and my.jetpack. I've tried restarting it, using a different browser, connecting to 192.168.1.1, and connecting it by tether and wireless.

I'm sorry you are experiencing a delay when activating your Jetpack. Because you are using a Jetpack, it is important to ensure that your SIM card is correctly installed. Which model Jetpack do you have? If you are still unable to activate the device, please try powering down and removing and reinserting the LTE SIM card. Please keep us updated.

Try terminating the Facebook App and restarting it.
If that does not work try restarting and/or resetting your iDevice.
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).

Cannot Get Mail - Mail app has been frozen, no new downloads, since 7/14.

My mail app has been frozen since 7/14, and usually it just says it was updated on 7/2/14. However, occasionally, it gives me the message: "The mail server 'imap.gmail.com' is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings."
Needless to say, I have done this. I have quit the app many times, reset the iPad, and finally last night I broke down and downloaded the 8.3 update (I was using 7.something before), and I am STILL getting this message and no new emails!
I can check on my phone and computer browsers just fine. Is there something I'm missing here? Really appreciate any help anyone can give. I finally got fed up not having this functionality.

If the downloads are stalled or "waiting" - try these suggestions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

Make a back up now.
Most Simple Back Up
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex:
Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically. Examples of such apps: Chronosync or DejaVu . But are many others. Search on MacUpdate
Then go on to Option 2

Be sure you are checking the email account that you used to set up the Apple ID you used to create the iCloud account. Also, be sure to check your spam/junk folder as well as your inbox. The email you should receive looks like the image below. When you get it, click the Verify Now link.
If it still isn't there, try going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right look for a link to resend the verification email.

Try different USB Cable, try different Charger. Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. If still problem and you have Warranty or AppleCare, make Genius reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution. If no coverage, most likely it could be battery or charging port assembly that need replacement.

Been without any phone service for over 8 hours

There is no way to report the outage online as the diagnostic does not show anything. All of Chihuahua Valley in Warner Springs, California has not had phone service for over 8 hours and Verizon will not admit a problem despite numerous phone calls from friends who are outside the community and have phone service. In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

Yep. Same here. There's a NEW feature in iOS7 for Find my iPhone. It requires a passcode. My wife never had a passcode and doesn't have her computer to restore the backup.
Spent an hour on the phone with customer service last night trying to restore the phone to factory settings but it didn't allow us access.
Right now we have a 9-month old brick sitting on the table.
Who in their right mind decided to release this feature that requires a passcode without checking first to see if the user has a passcode?
I was not really polite to the support staff last night on the call but the person was very professional. Kudos to how he handled my call but this is just stupid. So Microsoft-like, so un-Apple-like.
This feature with this iOS rollout is a big failure and my wife, who didn't want an iPhone until she got (and loved it) but is now out looking for an Android device. Apple has lost a customer that they had only recently won over.

6.0.0.407 Update frozen at reboot stage for over 3 hours... Help?!

I started the "critical update" that popped up on my phone earlier today at about 12pm via the Desktop Manager (up to date).. Now it's almost 4pm and I've spent 3 and a half hours waiting for progress, scared to "disconnect the device or interrupt the process" for fear of my phone becoming "unstable" as the update window stated.
I have included an image to prove the time frame (backed up device at 11:50, still waiting at 3:40.)
There has been no change since the reboot stage began, about 20 minutes into the update, which was surprisingly quick.
My phone has restored to factory settings, and I'm scared to do anymore than look at it.
I need to have it in working order in a few hours so, anyone, ideas? Please!

I have had exactly the same problem - update has frozen about 80% through reboot process. Told to wait by BB official tech help, it is now about 4 hours. I have not yet disconnected the cell (from USB connnection) but it is pointless being stuck here.
The Desktop Manager software will not allow me to exit unless I force this by using task manager. I have confirmed that backup ipd files were correctly made. (I have been waiting for a return call from BB that hasn't happened! I therefore am tempted to take the initiative myself)
I guess i will have to risk forcing DTM closure then try a fresh install and finally restore from earlier ipd files, but I would prefer expert advice first.
