My fan for my dv1635ca is not working after boot.
Hi,
Obviously it is an old computer but surprisingly it still runs 1080p movies and stuff so I gave it to my youngest daughter. There is one problem with it however.
After installing windows 7 on it, and installed a media player called plex, everything seems fine, but the fact that it heats up a lot. But there is no noise so i discovered that the fan was not working.
I thought maybe the fan is gone so i'd have to buy another piece, but the fact is that everytime i reboot the computer, the fan works flawlessly for 4-5 seconds and the second the windows 7 loading logo shows up, it permenantly stops working.
I don't know if there is such a thing as a fan driver nor can i find one. I have tried to look at programs like speedfan and they don't even see a fan running. Yet when i start the computer, the fan runs for a few seconds so it can't be a hardware issue.
thanks

Zone Base Forewall for VPN connections does not work after IOS upgrade
Hi all,
We use cisco router 2911 as corporate gateway - there is Zone Based Firewall implemented - I upgraded IOS to last version (15.2(2)T1) - originaly version 15.1(4)M1 - to solve issue with Anyconnect connections (bug CSCtx38806) but I found that after upgrade the VPN users are not able to communicate with sources in other zones.
More specific
WebVPN use this virtual template interface
interface Virtual-Template100
description Template for SSLVPN
ip unnumbered GigabitEthernet0/1.100
zone-member security INSIDE
There are other zones VOICE, LAB, ...
In the policy any connection is allowed (used inspection of icmp, tcp and udp) from INSIDE zone to VOICE or LAB zone
After VPN connection I am able to reach resources in INSIDE zone (which is the most important), but not in other zones. Before upgrade it worked.
Once I changed zone in Virtual-Template interface to VOICE, I was able to reach sources in VOICE zone but not in any other. I searched more and found the stateful firewall is not working for connections from VPN as ping is blocked by policy on returning way - it means by policy VOICE->INSIDE, once I allowed communication from "destination" zone to INSIDE zone - the connections started to work, but of cause it is not something I want to setup.
Does anybody has the same experiance?
Regards
PavelIt seems to me I should add one importatant note - if client is connected directly in INSIDE zone, he can reach resources in other zones without any issue - so the problem is only when the client is connected by VPN - not in ZBF policy setup.

I have updated to Firefox 6.0 and Orbit Downloader Plugin is not working.
Forgot what I originally wanted to post.
Just for the record, Firefox V:8 and Orbit don't play together, either.
I would start a separate thread for that if I thought anyone would actually try to fix the problem, but it is clear Firefox is doing this on purpose, for some reason. -

Sound not working after booting
First of all, I have tried to uninstall and then install again the drivers of the sound card for W8.1
The sound does not work if I have switched off my laptop and then boot it. If I reboot it, the sound works. It's just when I have switched off it from Windows (maybe because W8 does not a complete switch off but a kind of hibernation).
In the audio mixer of the tray the green bar which shows when it's playing sound works like it's working and if I plug some headphones on the jack port they work like a charm,
Any idea of what's happening? I've just bought this laptop last week and I'm very happy with it apart from this thingFrom your models support page Download & Save the latest Audio driver.Go into Control Panel,Programs & Features- Uninstall IDT software.Restart the laptop. After Windows loads, install IDT audio using the downloaded file.

Keyboard and mouse not working after boot
Hello!
it's my first time here
I have been using archlinux for a couple of months and after an upgrade, my mouse and keyboard stopped working.
I have also posted it on linuxquestions:
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions … ot-934040/
What might be causing that problem?
and, considering the problem occurred after an upgrade, reinstalling the system would correct it?when booting into runlevel 3, the keyboard and mouse works fine.
my pacman.log(only for the update day) and messages.log are:

Sony bridge for mac RESTORE phone not working after exchange xperia from Sony
Hi everyone,I have been sent an exchange unit from Sony to replace my previous xperia zThis phone has an older imei number than mine and wont allow me to restore using the Sony Bridge for Mac softwareIs this because of the different imei number???i have lots of notes, messages stored in a previous backup using the Sony bridge for mac softwareWhich i need to retrieve onto the "second hand Marked and scratched exchange unit" which Sony have sent me DOES anyone have a sollution to this please Thanks in advance... Steve
Hi Echo_steve Unfortunately, as I expected, you're not able to restore to another phone. However, there is one possible solution, but there is no guarantee it will work and it might mess things upp so you'll have to do it on your own risk. I'm afraid that's the best I can do for now. Here's how to work around the restore block. Again, use this with caution as there's no guarantee it will work. Also make sure Bridge isn't running when you attempt this:- Do a backup of the new phone
- goto ~/Library/Application Support/Sony Ericsson Bridge for Mac/
- Go to the "Backups" folder and find the backup sets
- Try to locate the old backup folder and rename it to the name of the new backup. This can be quite tricky, as the folders are named things like "CB5A1JYXNQ". But basically, if the backup set of the old phone is named "ABCDEF01" and the backup set of the new phone is "ABCDEF02", it should be enough to remove (or rename) the new backup set and rename the old one to "ABCDEF02".
Again, I'm sorry there's no easy fix. Please let me know if it works for you. Best Regards, David -
Volume controls do not work after booting
After installing Lion, my volume controls have seemingly been disabled. If I plug in headphones, the volume controls work again, however, I have to do this everytime. I've searched around for an answer for about two weeks now, but haven't found one that worked. I don't have a red light in my headphone jack and before this issue, I never used headphones.
Also, it seems that the sound at maximum volume is not as loud as it used to be in Snow Lepoard. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions?
Things I've tried:
Putting headphones in and restarting then removing
Resetting NVRAM
Repairing and verifying permissions
Verifying disk

hi,
the ODD fan of my computer is not working anymore. is it risky to keep on using my imac till i take it to the apple service?
thanks a lot,
by the way, there is a strange "clicking sound" coming from the back of my computer. i did the AHT and it said the hardware is ok but the odd fan. the error code is 4MOT/1/40000002: ODD-0
emek cayli,
turkeyNot as bad as the HDD or CPU fan, but it still might cause a problem with the overall cooling.
What's the iStat Pro widget say about your fan speeds and temps?
iStat Pro, a Dashboard Widget by iSlayer
You also might get by for a time using smcFanControl to slightly boost up the HDD and CPU fans.
Download smcFanControl for Mac - Control Intel Mac fans to make them run cooler. MacUpdate.com
Plus you might even try kicking up that ODD fan to see if it will free up or blow out something that might be stuck in it. -

Hmmmm... would appear that you need to be actually logged in to enable the additional menu features.
Have you tried deletting the plists for MAS?
This page might help you out...

Failing that, I will have to throw this back to the forum to see if anyone else can advise further.
Let me know how you get on?

I downloaded CS6 and am having issues with my print driver. It is not compatible with the HP 2600n and have tried to download drivers given to me by adobe ( (Jupiter 3) but it is not working. after a few days. Its a temporary fix and is still looking for the HP driver when i boot up. It also will not save in any print or postscript format. Does anyone know how to fix?
Currently use a Mac with the latest Mavericks 10.9.4Oh boy! Acting kind of weird seems to be an understatement, aquaequus!
What type of troubleshooting were we able to do with you? I want to make sure that we can get some sort of resolution for this problem.
It is quite possible the battery door may get your phone in working order again. I'm not sure if the store has it in stock, but it is available in our warehouse for $14.99 which can be ordered via customer service.

My dvd slot for imac10,1 does not work. I had a new harddrive installed in November and the MacStore installed my backups from an external harddrive. I do not use it other than to upload programs, so I have not tried using it until tax season, but it rejects the disc. The ata file indicates no dvd firmware, but the serial-ata does indicate firmware for a dvdrw. What might I do about this to bring the dvd back, least expensive to most?
Yesterday I started having the same problem. Can read disc (play movies and music) but blank disk are ejected or idvd cannot see the blank disk. I have a almost 12 month old 27" i7 imac.

I am working no one SSRS my table headers are freeze cangrow property is false and my report is working perfect while rendering data on RDL and i want same report after exporting in Excel also , i want my table header to be freeze and wrap text property
to work after exporting in my report in excel but its not working ,is there any solution ? any patch ? any other XML code for different rendering ?Hi Amol,
According to your description, you find the wrap text property and fix column is not working after exporting into Excel. Right?
In Reporting Services, when exporting to excel file, it has limitation for textbox.
Text boxes are rendered within one Excel cell. Font size, font face, decoration, and font style are the only formatting that is supported on individual text within an Excel cell.
Excel adds a default padding of approximately 3.75 points to the left and right sides of cells. If a text box’s padding settings are less than 3.75 points and is just barely wide enough to accommodate the text, the text may wrap in Excel.
In this scenario, it supposed to be wrap text unless you merge cells. If cells are merged, word-wrap does not work correctly. If any merged cells exist on a row where a text box is rendered with the
AutoSize property, autosize will not work. For the Fix Data Property, it can't be working in Excel. These are features when exporting to Excel. We can't change it because it's by design.
