My Favorites aren't staying synced.

The first time I set up my Watch the favorites synced perfectly from my iPhone.
Since then I deleted one and added one on the iPhone yet it did not send that info to my Watch.
Is there a way to force this to happen?

Michael - Think I experienced the same issue.  My Friends was initially setup during synch and it was populated from my iPhone Favorites.  To resolve, I removed all my Friends in the iWatch app, then added all again.  Seems to have fixed the issue.

  • Why won't my Iphone 4 stay synced with my 2009 Ford Flex?, Why won't my Iphone 4 stay synced with my 2009 Ford Flex?

I recently purchased an iphone 4 through Verizon and it will not stay synced with my 2009 Ford Flex.  I've tried rebooting the sync system with Ford, and have reinstalled the phone numerous times with no luck.
I have to turn off the bluetooth setting on the iphone (everytime I get into the car) and turn it back on, in order for the sync to work.
Does anyone else have this type of problem and is there a solution out there for this?
    Thanks

I have the exact same problem. I updated my Sync software but the problem persists. According to the Ford forums this used to work until iOS version 4. It seems that Apple and Ford are in the finger pointing stage of childhood development. Let us hope they will mature soon and have a discussion on how to fix this issue. It simply CAN'T be hard to fix.

  • Modifications aren't in sync - driving me crazy!

Working in the latest version of (everything) pages, osx, iOS apps etc.
Nothing is open on any devices except my MacBook Air. I have set time on all devices to automatically update and have also even reset the document storage on iCloud on all devices. Yet, every few minutes (Sometimes seconds) I keep getting a popup that modification aren't in sync. It's very distracting to my workflow. Anyone have any suggestions for this? I want to keep my file on dropbox now for easy access but it makes the iOS end more cumbersome to work with.
The second image uploaded made me LOL... seriously though. It's a bit ridiculus and I'm now coming to forums to try to get this fixed which is taking up time from work as well. Please help!
    -Distracted

I get a permutation of this:
    - One option is truly the last time I touched the file.
    - The other is my iPhone (which I do run numbers on), but never opened the file in question.
Not all the time. Sometimes I just wake my computer out of sleep and there it is.
(Of note, I do travel with my iPhone AND my computer and are constantly battling 'invalid certificates' as I try and connect to various public and hotel WiFis.)

  • I have a number of playlists configured to play songs I haven't heard in a while. They then drop off the playlist once they've played. When I use my iPhone, however, the songs stay on the iPhone version of the playlist. Why aren't they syncing properly?

I don't like Apple's algorithm that constantly pushes the same songs at me, so I have a couple of playlists configured for songs I haven't listened to in a month, two months, etc. This has worked fine for years. Since I've gotten my iPhone 4S, however, things are goofy.  The songs are marked as played and fall off of the playlist on iTunes, but they stay on the playlist on the iPhone, which means they come up again and again in the shuffle of that playlist. Even if I sync the iPhone the songs are still on the version of the playlist on the phone and I can't figure out a way to "refresh" that playlist and get rid of them. I know this is my own particular quirk about my music, but it's worked with every other iPod I've had. I don't know why the iPhone is holding on to a different version of the playlist than the one on iTunes. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?
My iTunes is on a MacBook running Snow Leopard.

    Lynn,
I had a very similar issue (same playlist).  After several frustrating hours of various combinations I was able to sync by changing the options to "manuall sync.." and then "dragging and dropping" the needed playlist from the iTunes Playlist list to the iPhone button (on my itunes setup/view that was from the far left column list of all of my  playlist in iTunes to the far upper right "iPhone" button).  To sum up "checking" the playlist and syncing didnt work, "drag and droping" the playlist did... at least for now... then I unselected the "manually manage" in the options and re-synced and all playlist were synced correctly.  Good Luck.

  • How do I add Panic Transmit Favorites to MobileMe's Sync Preferences?

I know that I just need to go to a folder but I'm not sure where it was. I thought that it was in the /User/Library/Application Support/Schemas folder, but I only see that on my MobileMe but not locally on my machine. Does anyone know where I can find the folder on the Finder in order to add my Favorites from Panic Transmit back into the Sync Preferences for MobileMe?

Be careful rephrasing Terminal commands so people don't put the extra text you added afterwards. It's just:
    ~/Library/Application\ Support/Transmit/TransmitSync.app/Contents/MacOS/TransmitSync --registerClient

  • Why won't mail stay synced with iCloud?

Every time I go into the settings for icloud and my email accounts the box for mail syncing is unchecked. So i check it again and as soon as i go out of that page and back in it is unchecked again. Why on earth is this happening? and how do i fix it?

Same here, can someone enlighten me why mail does not want to stay checked in the iCloud prefs? As soon as I check the box Mail & Notes, it says starting, I close the window, reopen it and it is deselect again. Drives me nuts!
I have one Apple ID, one account for as long as we had .mac addresses. Nothing weird or special. I must be missing something.
My iPad1 and iPhone4 and MacbookAir it functions as it should except on my iMac.
Running on both computers Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3 (11D50b) and the latest on IOS on the devices.
Another thing that has me baffled is the double addressing when I start a new mail.
It says from: [email protected] and next to it [email protected](icloud). Why?
I still do not see any features in this iCloud business at all. Syncing my iPhone and iPad over wifi via iCloud is horrible slow and takes hours. Syncing and backing up to computer is blazing fast because of the FIOS. I'm still willing to give it a try but these issues have me baffled. If someone has the answer please let me know! ;-)

  • Music won't stay synced

After the latest update it took literally 2 days to put my music back on my iPod Touch (4th Gen) once I hooked it up to my computer. Yesterday I had to interrupt mid-sync because it looked like it was going to take too long and I didn't have the time. Today, no music on my iPod.
I can't have it take 2 days every time I connect to the computer! I have enabled wireless sync, but I will plug it in to charge it. Please help!

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • I got a new laptop this summer and now my iPhone 4s won't stay syncing to iTunes on it when I use the usb cord. What do I do?

I went from a toshiba to an hp laptop. My iPhone 4S connected to it originally but now i can't get it to stop connecting and unconnecting long enough for it to sync properly anymore. I've tried a number of different cores to get it to work but it doesn't change anything. What should I do?

  • My ratings aren't getting synced????

Anyone know what is up with this?
I am trying to sync my ipod nano 3rd GEN with songs that I have rated (on the ipod), and the sync goes just fine (set to "sync selected playlists") but none of the rating changes I have made on the ipod transfer back to iTunes.
    What is up?
Is there a better way to accomplish this?
    Thanks....

I'm having the same problem. What's the point in having an option to rate your songs on your ipod if it's going to be erased on the next sync? I'm sure there is a setting or something to fix this. Please help!

  • Apps not staying synced to 3g phone

I have an original 3g phone that I have not updated to 4.0 for better performance. I am connecting my phone to my Macbook Pro through a usb cable. In Itunes I have found and downloaded various apps. These apps show up when I try to sync my phone. I can drag them where I want, or click the box. When I hit the sync button they then dissapear, both from the screens at the side of the page and the check in their box. I have reset my phone multiple times, but nothing seems to help. It's not all apps, just a few new ones. I can't seem to figure out why. I have plenty of memory, and am not getting an error messages. They just won't sync to my phone... Any ideas would be helpful.

Download a free app from the App Store. Once it downloads, your other apps should work properly again.

  • MyCloud "ntpd" is AWOL... time initially sync's but won't stay sync'd

My 2TB MyCloud doesn't have "ntpd" running on it.  In fact, it doesn't even have an executable for "ntpd". Interestingly, it does *initially* synchronize time with the Linux machine on my LAN if I add the entry "192.168.1.3" to the server pool (here's the line from  /etc/ default/ntpdate ) : NTPSERVERS="192.168.1.3 time.windows.com pool.ntp.org" More interestingly, while there is no "ntpd" there *are* "/usr/sbin/ntpdate" and "/usr/sbin/ntpdate-debian", which doesappear to be getting started by "init".  But it seems like what it does is sync the time - successfully - with the server on 192.168.1.3, and then exits without starting any sort of "Daemon" on the MyCloud. I discovered this when the time on the MyCloud wandered out of sync, and I successfully ran "invoke-rc.d ntpdate start" andit *did* resynchronize...  But there's still no obvious *Daemon* running, and I can only assume it will probably wander out of sync again (which, for anyone who doesn't know why I'm obsessed with this, is a Bad Thing if you're using a system as a backup server as I am.) here are some lines from /var/log/daemon.log : Jul 12 23:56:13 WDMyCloud ntpdate[10074]: Can't find host time.windows.com: Name or service not known (-2)
Jul 12 23:56:53 WDMyCloud ntpdate[10074]: Can't find host pool.ntp.org: Name or service not known (-2)
Jul 12 23:54:07 WDMyCloud ntpdate[10074]: step time server 192.168.1.3 offset -172.228438 sec The MyCloud can't reach the Internet from inside my LAN (deliberately), so no surprise on the other two servers. Meanwhile...  trolling around on the net turns up the fact that "ntpdate" is deprecated *and* that "ntpd" has been in Debian as far back as I can remember (and "ntpdate" has not - in fact I think it's a USB program?) ... So, before I go on a massive debugging binge, I thought I'd ask if anyone here knew about this...  is there supposed to be a time server running on the MyCloud, and what is its name, and why is WD using the (supposedly deprecated) "ntpdate", and - most importantly - why am I not getting periodic time sychronization?  ....  Etc...

OK...  maybe I didn't explain the sequence of events clearly. Out of the box, there are some entries for ntp servers, but because I didn't enable Internet access, it didn't set the clock right. Then from the "dashboard" I added the address of the local machine that's running "ntpd" - leaving the original entries for the NTPD pool etc. in there  as well - and it set the clock right (I also had to enter the same machine's address as the "gateway". Then several days later I noticed that the time had drifted, indicating that "ntpdate" hadn't been  successfully run again since that first time when it set the clock.  So I ran it again via "update-rc.d" and it again corrected the clock - and I noticed that "ntpd" wasn't running. So, when you said it was aborting because I didn't have a valid entry, I did have a valid entry but the other entries were *not* valid, so I thought you meant it was aborting because of those, even though I had one valid entry... Anyway, now I realize that what's happening is that there's no server, and "cron" is just running "ntpdate" once a day to resync the clock...  and I don't think it's running successfully, because I don't see the log messages in /var/log/daemon.log (though it hasn' t drifted noticeably yet either). But, you know what...  before I spend any more of anybody's time on this, I *just* discovered that - additionally - both /tmp and /var/log are 100% full: some lines of output from "df -k": tmpfs 102400 102400 0 100% /tmp
    /dev/root 1968336 685956 1182392 37% /var/log.hdd
ramlog-tmpfs 20480 20480 0 100% /var/log and there are a *ton* of really bizarre files getting created and messages getting logged, that are clogging them up...  So I had probably better go fix that first...  just about anything else including the "cron" job that runs "ntpdate" could be failing as a result of not being able to write to the logfiles, etc...

    Reasons for Drive Failure
Hard drives are mechanical devices with moving parts, so they are subject to expected wear and tear, and can potentially fail mechanically at any given time. But most manufacturers will label their product with an expected average lifespan (usually provided in total expected number of functioning hours). But if a part is faulty or there are some manufacturing defects, a drive's lifespan can be over in as little as a day. Other factors are primarily external in nature. Power surges can cause drive failure, as can fire or water damage, along with a number of computer viruses. Exposure to high levels of magnetism can disrupt the normal functions of a drive, along with sharp impacts. If dust gets into a drive, it can become the catalyst for an eventual failure.
You could try to boot with this. It will test your HD!
I would say your HD is toast!http://www.seagate.com/support/internal-hard-drives/consumer-electronics/ld25-series/seatools-dos-ma...

  • Tabs aren't staying in assigned groups

Trying to make use of the tab groups feature I have about 14 different groups. I've put various tabs inside the groups and upon reopening the tabs aren't "sticking" to their assigned group. I seem to still have the tab opened but they float to another group for some reason. For example, a crochet tab I had put in a crafts group is now in my work group.
Any idea what is going on?

My guess is that an extension you have installed is causing that to happen.
