My Favorites in "My InfoView Frame" does not provide access to instances?

Question

Hopefully someone can help me figure out how to do this.
A User creates a "My Infoview" page and defines the content of one of the frames as 'My Favorites" folder.
User then proceeds to go to a different public catagory, selects a Report that has multiple instances selects and Organizes
it to create a shorcut in 'My Favorites"
When going to the 'My Favorites" folder, the shortcut is there with links below for 'View latest Instance", "History", "Schedule", and Properties" , but if the user goes to "My Infoview" panel, defined above, the shortcut shows up without any of the links
below it, so the user cannot get to the instances to view them via this shortcut.
Is there a way to have the shortcuts in the "My Favoirites" folder show up in the "My Infoview" panel the same way as they do in the folder.
Running BOE XI R2 SP6 on Win2k3, with a client on IE7 on WinXP
I've tried this with the Administrator account with the same results, so it does not appear to be a rights issue.

Thanks for responding Bashir,
When I create a shortcut, everything appears normal.  The links for last instance, history, and schedule are there.
Moving or copying reports between folders is also normal
The issue appears only when the "My InfoView" frame content is defined with a folder.
I saw the problem when presenting a training class using a test account on a notebook, and am able to duplicate the problem with a normal user account as well as with the Administrator account at my desk on a different PC.
I have further investigated and find that when defining the content of a "My InfoView" frame with either the "My Favorites" folder containing shortcuts, or a public folder containing reports, the reports and descriptions are there, but the links with the 'actions' (view last instance', history, schedule, properties) are not.  The Hide/Unhide arrows next to each report hide the description as expected.. it's just the actions are not there.
Navigating to the folders directly, the reports and shortcuts look and work normally.. and the action line with links is there!
Both PC's are fully patched WinXP SP3 and have Sun Java 6, update 20 (the latest).
The server is BOXI R2 SP6 running Tomcat on Win2k3 R2 Enterprise Ed. (32 bit).
