  • How do I remove items from the "favorites" list on the sidebar?

When I open up a new folder there is a favorite list on the side.  Somehow, random documents and folders appear there.  When I went to the settings I couldn't find how to remove them and when I went to the preferences for finders I saw how to add different icons, but not how to remove these docs/folders from showing up there.  Any suggestions?

I figured it out.  I read a few of the things on this site and they weren't totally helpful, but messed around and from their suggestions I figured it out!
    Hold Control
Click on the item you wish to remove
A list will appear with one of the options being "Remove from Sidebar"
    Click Remove from Sidebar

  • How do I remove an old file from the Finder Favorites list?

    Good Afternoon.
I have a shiney new MBPro with 10.7.1.
On my old machine running Snow Leopard, I had two .xls files I used often that I had dragged to the left side into the favorites. The truth is, I hadn't used them in months, but hadn't bothered to remove them. Then about ten days ago, the Bad Thing happened, and I had to replace my laptop rather suddenly. The nice folks at the Apple store transferred all the data and I was off an running in just a few hours.
Now, I thought to myself, I should remove those two files since I don't use them any more. But how?
If I click on them nothing happens. If I right-click on them, nothing happens. I can't drag them out because they don't drag and they aren't listed on the list of favorites that can be toggled on and off in preferences.
I checked. The files did still exist but deleting them didn't remove their names from the favorites list.
Any suggestions as to how to remove these two .xls files from the Finder's Favorites list?
    Thanks. A picture is below.

The msot amazing person ,just posted an answer to my other question which worked here too.

I wish I knew how to send Kappy cookies.

  • How do I delete the first seven items that come standard at the top of my favorites list, so that all it includes is my personal favorites?

My favorites list contains seven unwanted items at the top that I want to remove. I just want it to include the sites I've tagged. I would also like to know the keyboard shortcut that opens the list. I had previously used Alt C, but that doesn't seem to work.
    Thank you for your help,
    a happy new user

You can only create new folders in one of the three root folders.
    * The Bookmarks Toolbar folder stores the bookmarks that you see on the (View > Toolbars >) Bookmarks Toolbar.
    * The Bookmarks Menu folder stores bookmarks that you see in the Bookmarks menu and create via "Bookmarks > Bookmark This Page" or "Bookmark This Link" in the right click context menu.
    * The Unsorted Bookmarks folder stores the bookmarks that are created by clicking the star at the right end of the location bar.

    Hi,
It is a one-time error or do this occurs each time ?
Did you choose a really long name or something (the "String offset" description tends to prove it has to deal with some string length) ?
    Otherwise, open an OSS message.
    Best regards,
    Guillaume

  • Is it possible to add a single file to the Favorites list in a finder window?

  • Phone number appearing in Favorites list but does not exist in Contacts

    I have an iPhone 4S, running iOS 5.1.1 (9B206).
About two weeks ago (not really sure when I noticed) a phone number appeared at the bottom of my Favorites list. The number is for a person that I deleted from Contacts some months ago. The number is not in the Contact list anywhere, the contact does not exist. I've tried recreating the contact (and Favorites then shows the name) and then deleting the contact, and its still there in the Favorites list.
There is a facetime icon next to the number. If I turn off Facetime, the number disappears.
    Any ideas welcome.

Go under your phone icon, then under the favorites tab. Look in the top left hand corner of the screen and there should be an edit button.  Tap it, and then tap the red delete/minus icon to delete it from your favorites list.

  • Why is there no Favorites list for Apps?

Am I missing something in the App Store or is there not a way to make a "favorites list"? I see so many apps I would like to use or at least read more about and not necessarily download right away. I don't see a way to add an app I like to any sort of list, perhaps an "App Wishlist". When you shop at just about any online store, you are offered the option to "Add item to Wishlist" or "Save for Later".  If I have missed something PLEASE let me know!! Otherwise, Apple is a bit behind on this front.

    Hi...
You haven't missed anything and you're not the first to mention this.
You can provide feedback to Apple >  Apple - Mac OS X - Feedback
The more users that request a "wish list", the better especially since that feature is already available from the iTunes Store.

  • Where are my "Favorites"? I just downloaded Firefox and now my Favorites List is missing!

I loaded Mozilla Firefox. Now, when I go to my YAHOO E-mail page, all my "Favorites List" is missing. How may I retrieve them? Where did they go?

  • How do i get my old favorites list back on tool bar?

I just downloaded Firefox but my favorites list is missing. How do I get it back on the tool bar?

Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be helpful if your bookmarks are lost or missing. To recover them, follow the instructions below.
#Use <u>one</u> of these methods to open the Bookmarks Library window:
#*Click the ''[[Display the Firefox button menu instead of the menu toolbar|Firefox button]]'' to open the menu and click on ''Bookmarks''.
#*Click the ''Bookmarks'' menu and click on ''Show All Bookmarks''.
    # At the top of the Library window, click the "Import and Backup" menu and select Restore.
    # Click the date of the bookmark backup you want to recover.
    # In the new window that appears, click OK.
    # Your bookmarks from the selected date should now be restored.
For more information, see the [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]] article. For other solutions, see the [[Recover lost or missing Bookmarks]] article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back soon.
Can you locate the bookmarks in the bookmark library?

  • I have lost my favorites listing. How do I get it back?

I have lost my favorites listing. How do I get it back?

Are you missing bookmarks or are you looking for a way to access the bookmarks?
If you have problems with bookmarks and history not working properly then check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you lost the Bookmarks Toolbar then make sure that you've set that toolbar to display.
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible:
    *"View > Toolbars"
Open the Customize window to set which toolbar items to display:
    *View > Toolbars > Customize
*Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout
*Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

  • Can I create iPhone SMS favorites list in ios 7?

I used to be able to Clear Conversations and leave the list of people with whom I most frequently use SMS. THis optin is now gone and I have to remove the person from the list if I don't want to store all the messages.  How do I create a "favorites" list in SMS similar to that of the phone favorites list?

You can still do that in iOS 7. Open the thread. Tap and hold on one of the messages. A bubble will pop up. Tap More. Delete All will appear in the upper left. Tap.
    Best of luck.

  • Product category favorites list

    SRM SERVER 550 Level 14.
    Hello all,
The users want their product favorites list to have the last 15 categories.
I found out that by manually adding entries to BBP_CATEGORY_FAV I can increase the number of entries shown in the drop down list for product categories.
There's also an option for product category for the users in their own settings.
My question is is there an option for mass changing this for approximately 300 user?
    Kind regards, Rob Dielemans

    Hi Rob,
There are few ways to achieve this.
all data element like Unit of measure, product category ,currency are populated using favourite function module.
There are two BADI,Read documentation of these two BADI's
    BBP_F4_READ_ON_EXIT
    BBP_F4_READ_ON_ENTRY
    In these BADI,you have a table ET_CATEGORY_FAVOURITES
Populate these tables with favorite list and pass EV_X_FAV_PROCESSED as X.
You will get your favourite list in F4 Help.
This is applicable to all data elements.
To maintain this kind of list you have to pupulate the User favourite list in some table and based on that you have to plan pupulation on internal table.
Another simple way to do that ,which I have not tested and it require SAP core code modification.
You can see in SE38 transaction  In include ,LBBP_HELP_ATTRTOP,there is a data declaration and based on this all data element like...product,UOM,Currency etc creats 5 favorite list...
So increase this number to 15 this will solve issue...
This may require access key generation and further maintaience issues while upgrade..
number of favourites per data element
    CONSTANTS: GC_MAX_FAVOURITES TYPE I VALUE 5.
