My feedback on Acrobat XI new extract capabilities

I'm specialized in winter sport equipment review (journalist) and nowadays I get about every datas in pdf catalogs. I extract every specs, technos and texts (100+ brand catalogs a year).
My present Acrobat is pro 9 and extract feature is rarely ok. So I use side solutions like cogniview or able2extract, and also online solutions like abbyoonline, onlineocr.
I was very very interesed in version XI because of the export new fonctionality. So I give acrobat XI a try. Acrobat XI is not bad, but not enough for me. Features are too simple. You draw a square around datas, then there is quite no more options, so you get what you get ! I tried it on 10 tables to xls and I get only 4 good results.
Many table layouts have been rearanged in orientations, type sizes, new lines, background colors. With cogniview and/or able2extract, you can go further manually, Your redraw data structure with lines, colomns and at the end you get it ! It's not perfect because you can't define the exact symbol set you want to use. Should be so cool to draw a square around something and to say "when you see that write this !". A far far dream today...
So my Acrobat 9 is still ok I'll wait for a Accrobat XII. Ready to buy it if me wants are in !

you should actually do that on a second computer, too. you will be given the option to sign out of all your other cc accounts so the thief will use their use of your adobe cc programs at that point.

How to copy exitsitng extracter into another new extracter?

Hello,
Please some one can tel me how to copy the existing extracter into another new extracter.
I have requirment as below
Currect me if i am wrong ,need to enhance the existing extracter and add some new fields,and need to include some masterdata filds also to it.
For master data i am going to do write routines at Transfermation so that no need to include in my exter for those filds to extracter.
Please some one guide me in this scenario.

Hi,
you do not have to copy the extractor, you can enhance it with fields and fill them via enhancement coding --> rsa6.
If you want to copy it, you need to check what kind of extractor you have. Is it a function module or just a table extractor.
for fm: copy the function module via se37 and copy the extract structure via se11. Add your enhancements in the copied structures and coding. Create a new datasource with rso2.
for table extractor: create a view adding the additionally needed fields. create a new ds with rso2. Surely you need to add some coding in the relevant enhancement.

Cannot activate Adobe Acrobat on new computer

My PC "died" but I was able to deactivate my Adobe Acrobat Pro.
My new computer is a Mac but I run windows 7 on it.
I Downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro but my serial number will not activate. I Logged in to Adobe and verified my number. What now?
How can I "talk to" a support person about this?

Can't directly deactivate from old computer, but need Acrobat on new computer...

My old computer died due to a faulty power cord/port issue... I can't power it up to deactivate my Adobe Acrobat directly from that computer. I need it on my new computer and I have the serial number. How do I do this without accessing the old computer? Thanks for any help.

Welcome to Adobe Forum,
When you install it on the third computer or for the third time & when you to activate it, if it installed & activated already twice, there will be an option of deactivating it from the previous computers, please click on that.
Next it will allow you to activate on your new machine,
Now you can go back to your first computer, log out & log back in of Desktopp CC App, launch any product, if there is any product to buy, in that prompt there will be an option to " license the software", please click on that & sign in.
It will reactivate the CC on the first machine.
You have already deactivated it from one machine, hence you can activate it on third computer.

If it is an Acrobat subscription you could easily register the same product on your new PC with your credentials ,i.e Adobe id and password.

Line Item FI GL (new) extraction with out EHP3

Hi,
In ECC 6.0, we have used the (new)-GL functionality for FI GL Configuration.
Actually we donu2019t have the ehp3 on ECC 6.0
So, I(BI Extraction) canu2019t use 0FI_GL_14 --> 0FIGL_O14 (for Line item) datasource without EHP3. Available from table - FAGLFLEXA
and I cant use the older version datasourse, 0FI_GL_4 General Ledger Accounting Line Items -tables BSEG, BKPF (Line Item) get filled.
I don't want the totals -
0FI_GL_10 --> 0FI_GL_10 --> 0FIGL_C10 (for Totals) - With New G/L in R/3, the tables FAGLFLEXT (totals),
Need to know if there is any other datasource which will get the data for line item FI GL(new) ?
How to do the extraction for FIGL(new) line item?
Any Replace for datasource 0FI_GL_4?
Suggestions regarding installation of ehp3?

Thanks for the reply.
As per your suggestion, we need to bring GL view parameters from FAGL* tables. I need clarification here:
1. In our case, single line item in BSIK may correspond to multiple profit centers and hence multiple line items in FAGL* tables.
2. Users run the report for multiple vendors ( beig range) with their profit centers as selection criteria.
3. In the above case, we need to select all the line items for that vendor and go to FAGLFLEXA and select all line items and delete all line items not pertaining to the profit center entered as selection.
4. The above process would be time consuming since all the open items will be selected and then delete all those items which are not required.
5. Else, can we select the items from FAGLFLEXA directly for the profit centers entered and bring additional information from BSIK table. Since vendor accounts are not there in FAGLFLEXA, it would be cumbersome and time consuming.
6. Which of the above approach would you recommend.
7. Is it possible to modify the ACO report so that we can add additional information such as posting date, due date etc.

Adobe Acrobat X Pro Extracting Issue

When the download manager was trying to extract the Adobe Acrobat X Pro files to my computer folder, the following message suddenly popped out:
A problem occured while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write priveleges on the destination folder.
I restarted my computer just in case and tried to download the software again yet when it reached on the extracting part, the message again popped out. I have also checked my available space from my C drive and I still have enough, 1.27 TB to be exact.
I am the only user and the admin of this computer where I'm trying to download the software so it would be unlikely that I am restricted to the destination folder. Also, I have downloaded other softwares to the same destination folder and it went successful. It is just with the Adobe Acrobat X Pro dowload where I'm having this issue.
I would greatly appreciate for your prompt response with this matter. Thank you.

is your harddrive 1tb or larger? if so, you'll need to partition that drive to use acrobat x on it.
otherwise:
uninstall acrobat X
run the cleaner, http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
restart your computer
if you're using windows, right click the installation file and click "run as administrator"

Acrobat crashes when extracting pages

Version Adobe Acrobat X 10.1.12
When extracting and emailing pages from a pdf multiple times, Acrobat crashes. Here is the process:
1. Open pdf
2. Tools -> Pages -> Extract
3. Select any number of pages -> delete after extracting -> Yes at prompt
4. In the extracted page(s) pdf, Share -> Send Files -> Attach to Email -> Attach
5. Default email app opens -> Send email
6. Close extracted page(s) pdf without saving.
7. Go back to original pdf
8. Try to repeat steps 1-6.
The Acrobat crashes every time at step 4 on the 2nd extraction and email. As soon as the share button is pressed (or using File -> Attach to Email), Acrobat crashes with the below error code.
I have tried multiple different pdfs from different sources (i.e. downloaded from the web, scanned from a printer, generated from a word doc, etc.) as well updating Acrobat, uninstalling and re-installing (using the cleaner tool in between) and repairing install. The issue happens on multiple machines, all running Win 7 Pro, and there are no add ins installed.

Importing data from a .txt file and have Acrobat create new pages

Hi everyone,
I've created a form in Acrobat 9 to be used as an invoice. I want to be able to import data from an excel spreadsheet or .txt file into all the form fields. I know that I can go Forms > Manage form Data > Import Data to import 1 record at a time, but say I have about 50 invoices to populate, is there a way to import all the records at once and have acrobat create a new invoice for each of the customer's records?
If there is a way, will it be compatible for Acrobat Reader users since this form will be used by someone who only has the Reader?

Acrobat saves new PDF in 17 hours in the past

When I print a document to Acrobat (e.g., from MS Word), the resulting PDF sometimes appears with a timestamp that is 17 hours in the past. I've never run across this problem before, this doesn't happen with any other programs I'm running, and it only happens occasionally at that. My first thought was that there must be some weird timezone setting in Acrobat that I didn't know of, but I couldn't find anything like that.
Suggestions? Anyone else ever run into this?

As long as you know the URL of where the new PDF file is going to be you can embed the response URL in the submit button.Try something this JS in the Submit button's "Mouse Up" action along with where ever you are planing to submit the Data:

If you are trying to do an HTML type return, I don't know if that's really possible.
