Do you use iTunes Match?
I presume you are referring to iTunes running on a computer. iTunes does not run on a mobile device (it is confusing but it is a completely different sort of application and is the iTunes Store App, not iTunes).

If you have been backing up on Timemachine.
All you need to do is enter time machine... Then the rest is obvious.
Find the iTunes folder and hit 'Restor'.
If not the only way to get all your iTunes music back is to enter iTunes Store.
On the right hand side you should see 'Purchased'.
Click 'purchased' and there you have it.

I just downloaded itunes, and when i go to music there are two options. You can either go to the itunes store or scan for media, and when I click on scan for media it does nothing. Help?

(I tried deleting itunes and re-installing it but apparently itunes was still on my computer so it asked me if I wanted to just check and see if there were any issues or missing software, so I did that but i still had the same problem.)

It doesn't sound like the iTunes software and its components installed completely. The article below will walk you through some troubleshooting steps. Is this your first time using iTunes, or do you have an iTunes library from another computer that you want to move to this one?

Why the **** is iTunes 11 so ****? I like every bit of how it looks good and new options, the thing i despise, cringe, shout and get angry about is WHY WHEN I OPEN UP iTUNES DOES IT HAVE TO SCAN FOR MUSIC THEN I LOSE ALMOST EVERY **** SONG?!?!?!?!?!? It is far to annoying to have to re-enter all my albums and music, pictures, names... etc. etc. why can't it be the usual open iTunes and listen to my playlists?

From the now playing screen, bring up the scrubber bar(tap the screen):
A small icon that looks like two circular arrows is on the left side below the scrubbing bar. Tap this icon once to repeat the album. The icon will turn blue when repeat is activated. I can't get itunes to scan for media. What can I do?

I just deleted all the songs in my iTunes for Windows library because there were so many copies of songs and many false links. But when I tried to get iTunes to scan for media anew, clicking on the scan button, nothing happened. In frustration, I finally removed the entire program and reinstalled all over again. But still, nothing happens when I click on the "Scan for Media" button. Can anyone help me? Also, but of less importance, I'd like to tell iTunes where to look for my media, if I can. The scanning is so important because I just bought an iPad and need to sync it with my PC's media contents.

This is KILLING me!!! Please HELP.....
I am using a servlet to download an xml file, which I build on the fly based on user interaction.
The open file dialog appears nicely and I hit open. The dialog pops up again immediately and I have to click open again in order to open the file.
This works fine when file extension is txt and I DONOT have to click twice. Here is the code:

why on earth is this feature a feature???
now that i finally realized what i have been doing all this time... i see that i have 1000's of dupes eating up HD space.
obviously when i add a song to my library - i want it in the folder i have chosen to be my iTunes music folder -- d'uh!!!
that is precisely where i added the songs to!
so can someone help me understand why i did this?
what need did i have to click this preference?
i know i made this choice...
what i want to know is if there is a reason to click it that i am missing the boat on?

why on earth is this feature a feature???
this feature is for copying files into the iTunes music folder when you are dragging/openning files into your library.
let's say you have a song file on your desktop that you just downloaded from Internet. if you double click on it or simply drag it into the iTunes windows, iTunes will automatically copy this file into your music folder. then, you can delete the file on your desktop since a copy have been made and referenced by iTunes.
if however this option isn't activated, the iTunes library will instead referenced the files in it's current location, i.e. in this exemple on your desktop.
personally, I keep the option checked so when I need to add files to the library, I know the will be managed by iTunes and then simply send the original to the trash. unchecking this option is mostly for people that want to manage files themselves outside the iTunes Music folder.

Did you try to delete teh photo chache? Photo Sync creates iPod photo Cache
Is there enough free space left on the phone? iTunes needs up to 4x the space to sync the photos than the actual size of the photos to be copied to the phone.

Thanks for the reply, I have seen this document and it doesn't appear to be realted to my situation.
To further explain. Upon loading I-Tunes, I was able to load over 200 songs, off-load to the IPOD and load additional songs.
Then two days ago, when opening I-Tunes, then putting the CD in and clicking Import, I get the failure I described.
It reads the CD becasue it'll load and play it in I-Tunes, but the minute I click import, regardless of 1 song or the entire album, I get the same failure.
Since I've loaded I-Tunes, the first thing I always get is specified path, drive, or ? doesn't exist, but I click OK and I-Tunes was opening and working fine. I figured that was just a flaw in windows??

You have to check with support. This is a user forum. Some of the folks may come by with the phone # or other contact. When you sign up for the conversion, you are using a subscription service that has a period associated with it, not a number of uses. It sounds like you are not using it enough to benefit from the subscription. I believe that is covered by the ExportPDF forum.
