My FIOS app iOS8 issues

Is there anyone having trouble connecting with call log and email through My FIOS app?

I'm running iOS 8.0.2 on an iPhone 5s and all features of My FiOS seem to be working normally.
I did have some trouble with My FiOS a month or two ago.  I uninstalled the app and re-downloaded and installed it and that fixed the problems.  For whatever that's worth (or isn't).

    I have an iphone that I downloaded the My Fios application, but when I compose an email it does not give me an option to add an attachment.  Is that how the application is set up?  Also, a lot of emails either do not load on this app or I am unable to scroll and see the entire email.
    Are these normal issues or am I having a unique issue?

    Thanks, I'll give it a try.  Verizon's May/June 2012 edition of SpotLight Magazine, didn't mention anything about other downloads required,  The page only said I needed to download the My FiOS App.

    I subscribed to Verizon FiOS local televison service about a year ago as it reduced my monthly bill by about the same amount that Verizon was raising my internet service only price to. In doing so I happened to stumble accross the FiOS App for the Xbox and have enjoyed about 80 channels. This past week however, my Xbox app has stopped working and it appears that I will now need to elect for the channels that I want to view. Has anyone else had experienced this issue or anything similar?

  • Local channels on Fios app

    When I first signed up for fios I was able to view all local channels (cbs, nbc, fox, etc) on the fios app on the iPad. Now for whatever reason it says I'm not subscribed. Is anyone else having this issue????

    Have the same issue on the iPad no longer being subscribed to ~15 local channels since the Thanksgiving app update. Worked great before then. Submitted a ticket and have followed up several times, but told it is being worked on by the app Team.  Loaded the app on another iPad and removed app/rebooted several times, but same result.

  • FIOS router - real firewall - AP - FIOS app no worky)

    I have Verizon FIOS service with an Actiontech M1434WR router getting the WAN info 192.168.1.1 and giving a wireless SSID. Behind that I have Sonicwall that gets an ip from the ActionTech and feeds desktops and an AP. Also, I have Ipods and Android tablets that pull the ip via the AP and running the Verizon FIOS App to watch television.
    Certain parts of the app do not work correctly when the devices go through my AP but when on the FIOS network everything works fine.
    Do I need to enable port forwarding in the ActionTech and open ports in my SonicWall fore this to work correctly? If so what?

    Well I have been trying to get some kind of work around from Verizon techs and what a disappointment! I have basic triple play with actiontec (M1424WR Rev. E) router & DVR service. I have a iPhone 5 with the fios appt. (It once worked)
    I have reached out to tech support, latest as of yesterday and we went thru basic resetting routers and DVR with no luck. And then they reset it thru there end with no luck. So they put another person (tech) to help trouble shoot with no luck and the funny enough while I was on phone with them the call got disconnect! No call back nothing, no email either. Also to let everyone know if not familiar when they do full reset you dont lose recordings but you do lose favorites and you personal setting for DVR. As for router you will be reset to original setting's on router, so you will need to change your admin password and check other setting you might of done. Like wpa which in last months they sent out notices to update setting for more security.
    So I guess what needs to be know is there no work around for these issues and the app is that flawed that its not worth having?
    Are they coming up with some kind of upgrade to address issues like this?
    I have seen in some of forums of similar issues with android phone apps also.
    To finish off by time I was done with tech support there was no way to even attempt to use the app as even a remote, I don't know if I mentioned before I called tech support I could still use the remote but not the DVR and TV listings not being available.

    And I apologize for posting in the wrong area - I saw Apple support so I went here.
    I'm almost certain my phone is the problem. I have gone through resetting the network settings a dozen times on my phone, even did it on my dad's. Now my texts are beginning to do the same when I text my fiance.
    Resetting the network settings DOES work -- the problem is it will work for a day or two or for only a few hours - then I'll have to do it all over again.

  • My FIOS App for iOS and FIOS Quantum Gateway

    I have a new FIOS Quantum Gateway G1100 with a new firmware update including guest Wi-Fi.  When I try to use the My FIOS App on my iPad Air 2 and then access the Router and Wi-Fi information I get an error message unable to retrieve Wi-Fi Details.  When I try to manage the FIOS Quantum Gateway I get an error message IPAddress Missing for VZID.  I'm also unable to access any of the router settings from this app and nothing happens when tap the > symbol.

    Make sure you have the latest version of the MyFios app.  It's version 3.9.2.10, which you can find on the "App Settings" menu or in the App Store's update page.  Updates are handled through the App Store.

    Upgraded my FIOS DVR to a new model. Easy and it shows up in the FIOS iPhone app. Unplugged old DVR and sent it back to Verizon, but the old DVR still shows up in the App as an option. How to I remove it from the DVR listing on the app or on the Verizon on line listing?

    Have you tried:
    1) deleting and reinstalling both the 'My FIOS App' and 'FiOS Remote' App (actually any Verizon-related app for the iPhone)... this is because when you go to the 'Manage My DVR' section of the 'My FiOS' app, it brings you to the FiOS Remote.
    2) when you click on 'Manage My DVR', on the top right do you see the DVR location/name?  Does it list two DVRs or just one?  If two, can you uncheck the DVR that is no longer in use?
    3) From your FiOS TV Remote, go to Menu -- Settings -- FiOS TV Remote DVR -- Mobile Phone Access 
    If all else fails, try contacting Verizon's Technical Support via live chat via verizon.com/contactus or by calling 1-888-553-1555.

  • Samsung Smart TV FiOS App not working

    I have a new Samsung Smart TV with the Verizon FiOS app installed, and its not working.  When i attempt to start the app, i get the error "unable to fetch data, please exit the application and relanch".  Exiting and relanching the app does no good.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3 times, and it is stil not fixed  I updated the TV's software, then uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and its still not working.  I contacted Samsung customer service, and they could not get the app to work either.  if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.  Thanks

    Need to try shutting off TV and starting again.
    And you may be low on memory on your Samsung.  Samsung doesn't make it easy to manage the memory other than by deleting some unused apps.

    I have repeatedly downloaded the fios app on my iphone 4s and although it will download, it continues to say "error, we are unable to process your request. Please visit verizon.com or call the verizon support center for help". This happens whenever i try to do anything in the app related to my email. Any suggestions on a workable solution is definitely appreciated.

    Which fios app is that?  Doesn't sound like mobile as I can see nothing to do with email in there.
       I think the OP means the MyFiOS app which does show email?

  • Current app compatibility issues on iPod Touch!

    I have a 2nd Generation iPod Touch which I've had for a couple of years and I've never experienced any problems with it until the most recent update on the version of software it's running. Since the 4.2.1 update I am no longer able to run some apps on my device and I can't understand why. The two apps in question that won't run are...

    Everytime I attempt to sync either of these two apps it comes up with an error message stating "The app was not installed on the iPod because it is not compatible with this iPod". Now I've looked around at other problems with app compatibility issues and most people say that you should simply update the iPod. My device is currently up to date so I can't understand why these apps aren't working. Is it because the hardware itself on the 2nd Gen iPod is simply out of date? Any help or insight into this matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Your iPod's hardware is insufficient. djay for iPhone & iPod touch requires an iPod touch 3rd generation or later (per the developer's web site), and The 7th Guest requires iOS 4.3 or later which will only run on a 3rd-gen iPod touch. If you want to run these two apps, you'll need to get a new, or at least newer, iPod.

    You must pay the USD$99 fee to join the Individual Developer Program.
    After that, there is no fee to put free apps into the iOS App Store.

    I'm going by what I have on an iPhone (should be a similar app and features)...
    have you tried:
    1) (since you've done the reinstalling of the 'My FiOS App' already to no avail), try deleting and reinstalling the FiOS Remote App... this is because when you go to the 'Manage My DVR' section of the 'My FiOS' app, it brings you to the FiOS Remote.

  • Xbox 360 FiOS App issue

    For the past couple of days the app has been stuck at the loading channels screen.  Microsoft says its an issue on Verizon's end.  Anyone else having this problem?

    I have had similiar problems where certain apps work and others perform poorly, especially on wireless.  if you want a real test then hardwire your device, if you can't do that, then you should just change the channels and experiment.  
    channels 1, 6 and 11 are all you should use. 
    open a browser on any connected pc, and go to http://192.168.1.1
    username is admin
    password is the serial number found on your router
    once you're in you click on change wireless settings in the first column and it takes you right to the channels. if you click on wireless at the top instead then you have to make one more selection which is basic security settings, and then you are at the channels. 
    change it to 1, and hit the checkmark for keep setting after router reboot. 
    save
    test it. 
    the change would be immediate.  if you don't notice a difference or it's worse, then change it to 6, and test. and then finally to 11 and test.  
    I think you will find one will perform better than the other.   
    if it doesn't then come back and let us know.

    recently i am having problems with importing iphone pics thru the lightroom app. for reasons i dont understand the images comes to lr in small resolution (640x852). if i work on the pic in the app- and save it to the camera roll the images in the app its full resolution. ideas?

    You did not mention if it always were the same images that were not being synced in your original post.
    Hence the question.
    Even though it might seem silly for you - those questions being answered can make us understand where the problem lies.
    The problem can be that you have an app that shoots pictures that are causing the issue, etc.
    Best way to help us and yourself would be:
    letting us know if it always only happens to a specific set of images
    if only specific set of images causes this - where did they come from, had they been edited somewhere else or where they untouched when you imported them to Lr mobile
    be very specific in your posts, things like "if i work on the pic in the app- and save it to the camera roll the images in the app its full resolution. " Doesn't really help us to understand where you are seeing the full resolution image, leaving us to assumptions that can be wrong.
    If your workaround is to edit the images that's good but it still doesn't solve your problem right?
    What you can do is - next time you have this issue - go to the settings in Lr mobile (Lr icon inside the app) and once the settings are open, press the Lr icon again for a couple of seconds to get a diagnostics log.
    Then send it to me privately, do not post here directly, and we can see if it lets us know whats going on.
