It started tonight and it's cut out for a few moments for three or four times now.
It always reconnects.

Did you by any chance close the connection?

Apple TV has started blacking out

Apple TV has started blacking out completely for a few seconds, then coming back onsceen skipping content played during those seconds. More and more frequent until recently it will be several minutes before I can even get a screen to turn it off. At first, it seemed to be associated with play time, like it might be overheating or something. Clueless. I have done software updates and even a factory reset.

I am experiencing something similar. My blackout is very brief - about 1 full second - and audio playback continues through my AV receiver during this blackout. In other words, the Apple TV continues to stream whatever I am watching but the video signal is briefly lost. I've tested different HDMI-in ports on my TV as well as different HDMI-outs on my AV receiver, and I am almost positive it is the Apple TV that is failing. I am unable to replicate the blackout via any other device (TiVo, bluray, etc.) I am going to start regularly rebooting the Apple TV to see if that helps. Any other feedback is hugely appreciated. My 3GS 32gb Iphone has just started cutting out even when battery is almost charged - I have to charge it for a short time to prompt it back into action - I now have to watch apps with the charger connected no problems then?

I have just started getting a problem with my 17 month old 3GS 32gb Iphone (no heavy use) in the sense that it keeps randomly cutting out and it requires a short boost charge to get it started again even when the battery is charged between 70 to 90%.
Any suggestions?

My Iphone 4s' internet has completely cut out.

I am in my house so am therefore connected to wifi, it even says connected to wifi, the 3g is up and i usually have 3 - 5 bars. my carrier has just been topped up and it still doesnt work. whenever i go onto the internet it says "Safari cannot open the page because the network connection was lost". If i go to youtube it says "cannot connect to youtube" and my texting apps (ie whatsapp) just say connecting and cut out for ages. this problem occured yesterday in the morning and i did some things like turned off and on cellular data and it started working again. Later it cut out again for longer and i fixed it after a while now it has cut out and it hasnt come back since. i am with Giffgaff - O2. i have tried reseting network settings and i have tried taking out sim and putting it back in.

No. Not even sure what you mean by that. The phone is trying to access particular IP addresses on the internet, which don't exist on "my own network."

No again. The fact that your router works with other devices doesn't mean it's compatible with the iPhone. Did you even try restarting and updating the router as suggested?

Macbook pro running 6.8 has wifi cutting out and extremely slow

My macbook Pro recently started having issues where the Airport says the wifi signal is full, yet is extremely slow(.5mbps compared to 30 that i normally get.)
It also cuts out but says it is still connected, but chrome, safari, itunes all cannot connect even to google.
So far I have tried,
Deleteing the playlist items in system configuration
restarting the router manually and from the router control panel
shutting off my airport card and turning it back on
set a new location in network preferences
setting DNS to Google DNS and openDNS
setting IPv4 settings to manual
checking the router channel
restarting my computer
setting the network utility to constantly ping
checked the preferences on the netgear router site
turning bluetooth on and off
setting and unsetting a firewall
using network diagnostics
the only thing that works is to turn airport off, then on again and reconnect. even then, I can only get a few page views, sometimes only one, before it stops loading anything. my wifi connection used to be amazing, then one day it just started doing this. I get very slow speeds when I can connect, and downloads are extremely slow.

I also finger McAffee as the culprit, it's not necessary on Mac's as of 10.6.8+ Apple installed their own anti-OS X malware detector and it checks for updates like every 26 hours or so.
If you need to clean the Windows malware off their files, the free ClamXav does the job nicely and doesn't bugger up the machine as it's run as you need it.

FIOS Connectivity Issues Starting at 20:30 Eastern

I'm connected to the Internet via FIOS here in Philly. At 8:30pm Eastern I abruptly lost all of my SSH connections to our servers at our Dallas data center, and I have not been able to establish a connection via FIOS since.
I can connect to our servers via AT&T 3G just fine. I can connect to our servers with my Verizon 3G Air Card just fine. Only FIOS connectivity is broken, and only to certain locations (in this case Dallas). I can still see Google and other sites, via FIOS; only certain networks/locations are broken.
Anyone else seeing FIOS network problems?

Indesign CS6 has started bombing out on launch.

That looks familiar, but that's not good news. That's one of the one's I don't have a solution for. John Hawkinson is our resident expert on these, and perhaps he'll join us.
In the meantime, do you have any third party plugins installed, or a font manager? Did ID ever launch for you?
Are you able to run Adobe Extension Manager? If so, try unchecking the PMWelcomeScreen plugin so it doesn't launch on startup and try starting ID again. I believe that plugin is associated with the ShuksanInit(IStartupScreen* (*)(), IPlugIn*) + 28162 line just before the protective shutdown.
I think we're seeing quite a few problems with 10.8 that may be related to a change in Apple code (just a gut feeling) that happened after CS6 was tested and released.

BT connectivity problems, keeps cutting out every ...

I live at a shared accommodation for a hospital, and I got the BT internet that was there.
First two days, it was absolutely fine, super quick and didn't disconnect.
I can connect to another nearby network (that's really poor, but still gives me a little bit of internet).
I can connect to both 'BTWifi' and 'BTWifi-with-FON', then I sign into the BT homepage, and then I can get onto the internet. Both work just as well as each other. Yet, it disconnects about 10 minutes later and it says there's no connectivity or limited access. I then have to connect again, either to the same or other network, and go to the BT homepage to sign in again before using the internet.
It's getting really frustrating.
Any help is appreciated.

If the signal strength is poor, then its likely to disconnect. It sounds like its coming from a normal home hub and not a business hub, which I thought might have been installed in a hospital.

I have a clip that once played the video and audio in PPro CS6.0.3 but now the audio is a problem. It plays clearly but about every 3 sec. the audio jumps ahead. In the timeline, the waves stop about half way through the clip.
The same clip plays perfectly in VLC Player.
I uninstalled and reinstall Matrox software, it did not help.
I deleted the troubled file and brought in the same file from my RAID 10 archive, same problem.
I opened PP holding the Alt and Shift keys to clear the preferences, no change.
Created a new project with only the troubled clip in it, still jacked-up.
I used C-Cleaner and deleted the temp files, scanned for a virus, danced in circles clockwise and counterclockwise while pulling out my hair alas, I have run out of tricks.
Could this be a Adobe Premiere Pro CS 6.0.3 bug? You betcha!
Now I must once again crawl back to CS5.5 and rebuild this project that due in a week becase CS6, CS6.0.2 and CS6.0.3 do not work with Sony EX1 clips.
Yes, Ill report this as a suspected bug and call tech support. The previous Adobe EX1 video tearing bug was fixed after 6 months. How long will this bug fix take?

Changing the NVIDIA drive from 301 to 295 had no effect, same problem.
Working solution
Using the same project file on the same SDHC card and same content on the same RAID I tranfered them to a HP Elitebook 8540p, Win 7 Pro, Intel i7,8GB RAM, NVIDIA NVS 5100M, USB 3.0. The same problem file works perfectly with this hardware and by adding the graphics card to the "cuda Supported cards" list, the Mercury engine is active. I will have headaches using a small screen and only 48 cuda cores compared to 384 is much slower but it is working.
Am I having problems with the:
Intel Q9450?
nvidia 560 Ti?
Asus P5E Deluxe?
USB 3.0 card?
Is there a way to test these components?

Why is my Apple TV cutting out when watching TV and Films?

Hi there, will try to provide as much info as possible but let me know if more is needed.
I have purchased the newest Apple TV (March 2012) recently, and have noticed that it cuts out when I'm watching films and TV shows, but never when I listen to music or the radio. My friends have also noticed they cannot play youtube videos off their iPads onto the apple TV. When it cuts out, it does not say "cannot connect to iTunes" or anything similar to that, it just returns to the home screen and then we can select the computer and TV programme and resume playing as normal. This happens every 5-10 minutes during a show/film though and does get incredibly annoying.
Originally I felt it would be a network problem. We have BT Infinity and the Home Hub 3.0, and I am aware that lots of people have issues with this. However this problem doesn't happen on any other device, nor when playing music. It is specifically when watch movies and TV shows. I have actually swapped the home hub device for a Netgear Cable Router back and forth trying to see if it ever made a difference, and the same problem is still happening therefore I do believe it to be a problem with the Apple TV.
I have checked the troubleshooting advice for the Apple TV and followed that and nothing seems to have helped (unplugging various bits, making sure i'm on the right channels etc.).
In short I have literally no idea what could have happened and what to do about this, and before I actually rang apple I wanted to know if anybody new anything about problems like this and how they can be resolved.

PS it is also worth noting that on our homeshare, we can no longer access one of our friends iTunes, despite it being visible it never loads and is invisible to the Apple TV. This also baffles us and we are not sure if it is related!!

I have three Apple TVs at home (one 2nd Gen and two 3rd Gen). I have not had this issue. Worst thing that happens is it will not load my content from iTunes after waking it up, so I reboot the Apple TV and that fixes this.
My Dad has a 2nd Gen and it has started cutting out or dropping during playback of movies from iTunes and Netflix. I tried restoring it over WiFi and also directly from his iMac running Lion and the version of iTunes previous to the latest that changed the iTunes layout (Not sure of the version), but it would fail saying the download was corrupt. I even downloaded the .ipsw file and tried manually restoring that way, but it failed as well. I purchased the USB cable for Apple TV to do this.
I just took it home tonight and tried restoring on my iMac running Mountain Lion and the latest version of iTunes and it worked. I will bring it back to my Dad's and test it there. I will post the results.
Maybe try this and see if it works. I noticed that doing it through iTunes that it said it restored the latest version of OS for Apple TV and also the Firmware.
None of the Apple TVs mentioned have been Jailbroken, so not sure if this would be causing issues for anyone else. Just trying to rule out anything I can think of.
I didn't get a chance to try this next step, since restoring from my iMac worked, but this was going to be my next step:

IPhone cuts out unexpectedly

My iPhone 3Gs has started cutting out on its own - Not straight away, either when i lock the phone or if i open an app, it did this when i opened the camera app.
When SIM NOT installed - not charging - works fine
When SIM NOT installed - charging - works fine
When SIM INSTALLED - not charging - cuts out on different occasions
When SIM INSTALLED - CHARGING - works fine
So looking at the list above its seems to only cut out when sim in and its running on battery power.
When the phone cuts off it has thick black lines down the screen, i press the power button to reset the phone AND IT DOES BOOT BACK INTO IOS5 but does take a lot longer than usual.
Has anyone ever had this type of issue?

Hi Ben,
It definitely sounds like an over-heating issue from your description although I would expect it to recover much more quickly than 7-10 hours. You could try the technique of vacuuming the dust out of the air intake grilles to see if this improves the situation. Also check that the fans do work correctly and that there is enough space around the unit when it is in use.

Microphone continues to cut out

I'm having some issues with my microphone - and I presumed here might be my saving grace.
Since a while ago, my microphone has started cutting out at a constant interval. I don't believe this is caused by the in-computer microphone seeing as I'm using a seperate headset and nothing changed. I'm not sure what to make of this - could it be the sound drivers? Or something else?

Just a quick follow up. My cable carrier is Comcast, i had a Motorola SB modem, upgraded to DOCSIS 3.0 SB61xx model and all i can say is it made all the difference in the world. I'm able to get uninterrupted streams with pristine audio and video. The ATV2 is now a thing of joy.

Internet connection cutting out at random - orange...

Today my bt home hub has been cutting out at random, (orange light would light comes on for about 20secs, then turns blue again)
has happened 4 times or so today.
Ive tried restarting the home hub, this works but still cuts out after a random time.
The openreach modem was replaced by bt a few weeks back, (faulty)
