My Firefox 8 for Mac no longer will launch properly. It opens, and immediately hangs before loading the home page and connecting to any website. Does anyone have any ideas about how to correct this? Thanks!

All I get is a blank home page, along with a spinning beach ball. I cannot open the preferences to try to clear the cache, and must force quit to get out of Firefox. I have tried clearing the cache from the Library, and trashed the preferences file. I uninstalled the application, and reinstalled a newly downloaded application. I have restarted the computer many times, and run the disk utility to repair permissions. Nothing has worked. I have not added or upgraded anything on my computer since Firefox was working just a few days ago. Safari works fine connecting to the web. I have read through most of the support documents at Firefox Help, but cannot find anything that addresses this specific problem of hanging immediately after launch.

I have the exact same problem--and it just started around November 11, 2011. I have rebooted, reinstalled, and relaunched many times and Firefox just hangs on launch. Spinning beach ball of death and all that.
I have not installed any new software or changed anything on my computer.
Using Mac OS X 10.6.8, Aluminum Mac with 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 GB RAM.

Try Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

I don't know what they call it, but my plantronics voyager pro, and my wifes plantronics voyager pro+ will not let you hear music through the headset. My Blueant T1 does support it and plays the music through the deadset.

Same here on an older iMac since Lion. Thanks for the uncheck wake for network access tip though, it doesn't do it either in that case, I will leave it that way.

IMovie: I uploaded HDV video from a Canon HV20 and then to YouTube. The video and the audio are out of sync. The audio seems to precede the video by a tiny bit which is disconcerting. Any recommendations about how to correct this? Thank you.

I downloaded video via iMovie from my Canon HV20. The video was in HDV. I then published it to YouTube and Vimeo and in both cases, the audio is out of sync: the video precedes the audio by a fraction of a second. The original is fine as viewed in the camera.
Any suggestions as to why and how to correct it?

Connect phone to laptop, AutoPlay Box appears, click open Device to view files, internal storage, DCIM, Drag all Pictures/Videos into folder on desktop. Message pops up within a few seconds, Saying 'A Device Attached To The System Is Not Functioning.'

Is the computer in question connected to the Internet, and if so, is the Internet connection working correctly?
It is possible that Adobe Reader tries to check for updates when it is launched, then finds a faulty network connection.
Check the Device Manager for non-functioning network devices.
Also try http://fixitcenter.support.microsoft.com/ to find other potential problems on that system.

I received this error: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error occurred (-3212). Make sure your network connection is active and try again." We are connected. Any ideas on how to solve this?

I downloaded iTunes. I was going to put an MP3 lecture on iTunes so I could put it on our new iPad but I got the message:

My iTunes program crashes whenever I connect my iPad to my computer. Does anybody have any ideas about how to fix this problem?

Go to the settings in your Jeep, "forget" the iPhone. And on the iPhone "forget" the jeep. Then put the Jeep in Pairing Mode and tap Settings/BlueTooth on the phone and pair them anew (which sounds less confusing than "repair them").

My contact list on my iPod has gone. In iTunes the info section for contacts doesn't show anything like 'family' - just tick box for all contacts. Any ideas on how to correct this? iPod is 3 yrs old...

When Firefox begins, I get the message that Firefox has stopped working. Making it impossible to do any of the troubleshooting procedures. Turning off computer and rebooting do not help. Any ideas about how to solve this problem?

Everything was working fine and when I switched from email back to Firefox the problem started. Nothing new had been added before it experienced this problem. I also have IE on the computer, so I can get to this site.

You need "sysinternal's process explorer", it is free and can replace the Microsoft process explorer, that you get by "CTRL+ALT+DELETE". Either program will allow you to kill the instances of FF that didn't die as they should have, when you closed them. Sysinternal is easier to use, it is a graphic display with many options. Do not push "CTRL+ALT+DELETE" twice unless you want to reboot, that is its default behaviour under Microsoft.

Slideshow shows up as 4 DIFFERENT movies, causing soundtrack dropouts. Any ideas on how to correct this?

For almost a year, I've been wondering why this occurred , and this morning, as I was copying it with Toast, I saw that it was listed as 4 different movies with 1 extra, which is exactly the number of sound dropouts that occur. Any cures for this, or can someone tell me what I did wrong, because I don't see any divisions in the program itself, or the slideshow "map". Thanks in advance!
