My Firefox browser unexpectingly closes automatically?
My browser crashes automatically without any prior warning and its not isolated to any particular website. When I open up firefox broswer, it normally takes a few minutes or so and then it automatically closes without any prior warning. Also, other applications that are also open and running close at the same time as well. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

If Firefox closes on you, start it again and keep going. After everything is
disabled, restart in safe mode again. And let it sit for a while.<BR><BR>

Whenever I open new tabs Firefox crashes and the browser window closes automatically.what will I do?

RAM - 2 GB
Hard disk MEmory - 250 GB.I had this same problem. Seems to be caused by the web developer tool bar FF extension (this started happening after a recent update to that extension). After disabling it, my FF is back to normal :)

Hello, I'm writing it to inform you that I am having some problems with mozilla firefox 3.6.10, and I know that other people are having the same problem: Ever I run any fullscreen application, like games, while using mozilla firefox 3.6.10, it automatically minimizes (the program, not the browser). I'd like to find a solution. Sorry about the bad english, I'm a brazilian. My operational system is Windows 7 x86, and I have a Pentium E5300 processor, motherboard MSI (MS-7267), and 2GB of RAM DDR2. It's a Desktop Computer. Thanks for all.

What is solution? I f we need to uninstall and reinstall , what is the procedure?I have experienced the same problem with Mozilla 1.7 on Solaris 10 and FireFox 2 on Solaris Express for months. Both browsers close unexpectedly, however, I have noticed that this happens when having pages that use flash player... Any ideas...?

Firefox Browser closing unexpectedly
Hi everybody I have an Imac 20 inch Intel, Downloaded Firefox browser no problems opening it but when surfing anywhere it closes unexpectedly and then a window pops up asking me if I would like to reopen or report it to apple. Tried to re-install several times no good please advise thank you.

Why can't I close the Firefox browser or any pop-ups?
This is a problem I had with Firefox before I formatted my computer a few weeks ago. Firefox was working just fine after the fresh windows install which was great (I actually had to switch to using Safari because I couldn't stand how glitchy Firefox was), but looks like the same problem is happening again!!
In sum: the Firefox browser will not close when I click the X close button in the top corner. Also, no pop-ups will close, whether I click on OK or X or anything to either accept or deny changes. When a pop-up is prompted on a website so that I can upload a picture or other media (such as uploading a new profile picture on twitter), I am not able to scroll through my computer's content on the pop-up (scrollbars don't work), X close the pop-up or even press OK to accept the changes and choose the picture. However, I am still able to access the content, choose an item and browse through folders for what is displayed on my screen, so it is not frozen. It won't even let me use the arrow keys to scroll through the content though.
I have to ctrl+alt+del to close firefox. No, restarting my computer doesn't help. Clearly reinstalling firefox doesn't help as I recently did that when I formatted my computer, and internet explorer, safari and opera work just fine.Invoke the music player, Options -> Exit. Firefox don't close when "browsing and Download History" is deleted on exit
Firefox doesn't close properly in about 50 % of cases. When closing FF, the window closes but the process firefox.exe isn't terminated. When trying to open FF again you got the error message "Firefox is already running, but not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system." After terminating the process firefox.exe in the windows task manager, FF can be started again.
Error only occurs when under "Options/Privacy/Use custom settings for history" at "Clear History when Firefox closes" the option "Browsing and Download History" is selected.
All other options selected or not don't cause the issue.
I switched this option it several times. When "Browsing and Download History" at "Clear History when Firefox closes" isn't selected, the error doesn't appear.
Reproducible regardless if "Remember my browsing history" and "Remember download history" are selected or not.
Reproducible:
- after new installation of Firefox (Firefox 29.0.1 german, Windows7 64-bit)
- with different profiles, even with all addons disabled or running in safe mode
- with new profile with no addons or dictionaries installed
- with windows firewall turned off and deactivated antivirus program
- with hardware accellaration on and off

It only occurs when "Browsing and Download History" is delete on exit. The other option at "Clear History when Firefox closes" don't cause this issue.

I like the feature of the PDF being opened on the new tab on firefox browser's windows. But the newer version (3.6 or 4.0) will automatically open PDF in a pop up adobe apps. How do I keep the PDF open on the new tab as before like the 3.5 ver.? I want the PDF opened in the new tab rather than in the Adobe's app's pop up window. Could you help?

Is it possible that you actually have two Firefox windows open and Windows 7 is showing one Firefox on the System task bar, but if you were wave mouse over that, you might see two windows.
To Close Firefox use File > Exit (Alt+F > Exit)
and not the X in the upper right corner which only closes the Window and may or may not close Firefox if it is the last window. The reason it does not always close Firefox is that there may be other tasks running so you don't see Firefox anywhere but in the System Task Manager on the Processes Tab which is where you can see if firefox.exe is running or not. Shortcut to Task Manager on Windows 7 is Ctrl+Shift+Esc (for other Windows systems Ctrl+Alt+Del , select Task Manager,...) -

I have my FireFox browser set to delete all the history when I close the window. It was working for a very long time and has recently stopped with no changes to the settings. This has happened once before and I deleted FireFox and re-downloaded it, that solved the problem for a short period of time but the issue has come up again. How can I fix this?
Can you check your configuration again? Maybe something went pear-shaped somewhere. It's located in Tools | Options | Privacy and then click the Settings button (see screenshot).

The ShareThis tab no longer closes automatically in Firefox.
When I use the ShareThis button in Google Reader, a new tab is opened in Firefox. Previously, after hitting the submit button, the tab would automatically close, but, after the most recent update, this no longer occurs. In fact, the tab repeatedly reloads itself when I hit submit, sometimes repeatedly posting the same article. Does anyone know why the tab no longer closes automatically and how this can be fixed?
I do not know what has changed in the last 24 hours, but I am no longer experiencing this problem.

I am getting an alert in my Antivirus for Buffer Overflow whenever I launch or close my Firefox Browser. This has been happening since I upgraded to the Firefox 15. I didn't have this problem before. I having been using Firefox since many years & never faced such an issue. But this new issue has saddened me. Also whenever I close my Firefox browser the process is not getting ended in the Task Manager. When I try to launch again its throwing an alert saying that "the firefox is not responding. You must close the existing firefox process or else restart your system". Please debug this as I have been fellow open-source lover & would be happy if you guys release a fixed update & if no one else should starts facing this issue ever again. Thanks in Advance guys!!!
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

You said you have disabled all add-ons and plug-ins. This may be a repeat exercise but can you please test for the problem when Firefox is in safe mode. This disables plug-ins as well but also applies various other changes. See here for details:

If the problem still appears in Safe Mode then it may be that there is still some part of Hola that is causing the problem. You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
