Google news webpage jumps when scrolling down.
This is not happening when using google chrome.

    Hi,
Please check if this happens in a [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles new profile]. If the new profile is okay, you can later [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Recovering%20important%20data%20from%20an%20old%20profile?s=profile&r=1&e=sph&as=s copy the needed personal data] from the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings in another location separate from its [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory files/folder]. A new profile would have the default Firefox settings ('''Tools''' ('''Alt''' + '''T''') > [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Options%20window '''Options'''], and [http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config about:config] ), and usually would also be empty of any '''Extensions''' and themes ('''Appearance''') in Tools > Add-ons) and their settings. • Page jumps when scrolling in adobe reader 9 on a Sunray pc

When viewing a pdf on the sunray machines the pdf jumps when being scrolled.  It appears to break up into sections as you scroll. but can be viewed fine on a general pc.  Can we fix this

    I also have this problem. 2 gig ram / athlon 2400+ @ 2.0 GHz. Adobe reader 9.0.0.0
Save yourself the headache and dump adobe. Since they haven't responded i'd give up hope on them. I'm using an alternative open source alternative. sumatra pdf. Initially opening a pdf it's quite slow but after that it's infinitely better than scrolling h311 with adobe's reader.

  • Pages 'jump' when switching in Google Chrome

On a site I've created with GoLive CS2 some pages are in different screen positions when switching from one page to another - but only in Google's Chrome browser.  It's only be a few pixels but the effect is very noticeable.  I'm using auto margins that centre the page on screen and if viewed in IE8 or Firefox they are fine - they all stay in exactly the same position on screen.  I've look through the HTML on th epages that do this but can't find anything that's different.
Has anyone else encountered this?  And why is it only certain pages that move?

Thanks for your feedback and I think it's what's happening on my pages - the appearance of the scroll bar causes the space at the sides to change so it 're-sizes' which causes the slight movement.  Obviously IE and Firefox allow for this in their code but Chrome doesn't.
My site (at www.roosterad.com) is designed with a fixed centre (the website) and elastic sides (the grey space) so it always centres on the page regardless of browser size/resolution.  Do you know if there's any way to prevent the issue without loosing this flexibility?

  • FIREFOX 5 & 6: When viewing videos online, the video stutters every 2-5 seconds like it is buffering.

The videos aren't buffering, though. The videos can be fully buffered or not, it doesn't matter. I've checked IE9 & Google Chrome, and bother browsers view the same videos perfectly. I've disabled my add ons, but nothing works. I love FireFox....I love being able to customize it, but, not only is the video issue a real problem, but FireFox is now really slow. HELP Please!

    Hi Koen
Several Time i had this Issue on cust. site you should use a Frequency Optimizer for WIFI
Use a Channel which is not used by your neighbours. There is also Overlapping of Frequencies
    Which gives you Performance decrease.
Also a Point was HDMI Cable between AMP/TV and ATV(3,1080p) should be HDMI 1.4. When your TV is New, there is Communication on the wire.
The Last point is your File. 1080p low compressed never works without any losses of something, also with an High-Performance Machine. YouTube, Vimeo... is running because they use High Compression. Data Rates are low for 1080.
In General, there is never a connection which is running over an hour, without any Problems.
Except youre livin in a Forest ;-).
    Hope that helps
    Greetz Nick.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
    #Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

  • I load firefox it checks the compatibility of the add-ons. They are compatible, I have confirmed this through an addon but it doesnt go away. I also always loads the "welcome to firefox page" that you usually get after an update. How do I stop this?

Click any firefox link and it loads a box first checking the compatibility. This can take anything from 20 seconds to 5 mins to complete. When that finishes it loads up the standard page you get up after you update firefox plus my homepage. It also freezes and lags ("not responding") briefly as well if I try to close it down and sometimes crashes.
This happens without fail every time that I load up firefox and some help would be much appreciated in resolving this.

  • Pages crashes when opening since 8/25 update

    Hi,
I can't open Pages since updating it earlier today. It crashed while I was trying to save a document, and several reboots of my imac have not helped. After one such reboot, clicking on Pages reopened the App Store, and then a gray bar reappeared in the launch pad indicating that it was still installing. That process finished, but it still won't open.
I have tried restarting and/or shutting down five times now, and no dice.
I am running OSX 10.9.4 and updated Pages, iMovie, Numbers and Keynote this morning.
    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I've got nothing to help you, but I have encountered this same issue! It says, "This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled."
Do you have this same issue?
I had also had trouble updating iMovie.

  • Language changed? My firefox page is browsing and searching in what I believe is German, I am in the US and need it to be English how do I change back?

In questio Changed from US English to German, this is on the Firefox page and when browsing. Help please!

10 marks for recognising the Latin (sort of) that is the placeholder text in your template.
You are using a Word Processing template. WP templates have content flowing from page to page. As one page fills up, a new one is created. If some of that text is deleted or displaced the pages retract.
When you combine text, invisibles like word spaces, returns, tabs, page breaks etc with objects that have text wrap set, the mix can behave in an apparent odd fashion.
Start with showing where everything is:
    Menu > View > Show Layout/Invisibles
Start with getting rid of any excess returns you may have used to "position" things. Next cut and paste objects like textboxes, shapes, charts and tables "Inline" ie in as part of the text. If necessary also turn off text wrap on objects or minimise it so that doesn't push text completely out of the way.
Insert Section breaks in the Text where you want fixed breaks in the layout these will provide separation between layout on different pages.
Basically you need to clean up your layout or think about doing it another way.
If there is a lot of layout, you will need to learn Pages methods for doing this in a WP template or do it in a Layout template where each page is individual and all objects are floating with no default text area.

  • Why does Firefox re-jump to a page when it is finished loading or when automatically refreshing?

If I change tabs or windows within Firefox or switch from Firefox to another open programme running, and the browser page has not completely loaded (or sometimes refreshes due to automatic updating) what I see on the monitor is not the tab or window highlighted in the tab bar (or for that matter programme highlighted in the taskbar). Firefox just jumps back on its own accord and leaves me with often with a view that is conglomeration of the reloading page and the other programm I am working on.

Another user posted a screenshot of something like that earlier this afternoon, and I'm not sure what is causing that to happen. I suspect if may be caused by an extension that was recently updated, but no ideas about which one it may be. I just got back to my computer after be gone for the last five hours, so I don't if there has been any additional information in the other thread or not. This is about all I can figure to do right now until we have more information related to this new issue.
Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

  • Firefox is stumbling when pages with PDF content come up. how can i get my old version3.5.6 back?

    Question
firefox is stumbling when pages with PDF content come up. how can i get my old version3.5.6 back?

Thanks for your response Cor el, I'll try that the next time it happens, it's completely random. One moment it functions normally then suddenly it changes its mind.
Restarting my pc usually brings it back to normal until next time.
One thing I've noticed, but not 100% sure there's a connection here.....I edit my websites online and log into cpanel which opens new pages in separate tabs, as it should do. It seems that this problem occurs when I'm logged into cpanel...if i'm logged in then open a new tab for regular browsing of other sites then all links on those sites also open in new tabs.
Ican't say for sure if it's always only happened when logged into cpanel, but certainly on the last 3 occasions.
At the moment it's behaving normally so much I can do to check your suggestions, but will try them the next time it occurs.
One other thing I forgot to mention too....since i've had the new firefox, I've noticed that when I log into yahoo and post comments, I often find myself having to log on for each new post. Everything was fine with old firefox and there have been no other changes to my pc .

  • I downloaded new Firefox and it says on new firefox page I need to upgrade. When I go to Blogtalkradios studio it says I need to upgrade to 5.0. Help

You either have a corrupted user agent or the update has failed.<br />
    See:
You can check the version via Help > About Firefox<br />
If that shows the wrong version then you need to do a clean install of Firefox 5.<br />
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version.
    * Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
