My firefox persona zooms in a lot when I test it
I created a persona, and both when I test my header and footer, it zooms in a lot, a lot of the image gets cut off. You can see what I mean here [https://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/persona/307062]. It is not meant to be zoomed in that much.
I have used Paint.net, photoshop, and even MS paint, all fails, I have tried re-installing firefox and still no luck. I tried the resolution firefox told me to (3000*200px, 3000*100px). I need help!

Hey I have the same issue.
What it is, is that even when the header image is the right size, it zooms in when wearing. I found this with the one I made. Even when using others, it does that.
I understand that resolution counts but it would be better to cut off the image left than to zoom in also. Mine is zoomed in at the top right so it's cutting off about half of the height of the image I made.
Any help would be great thanks.

Firefox 4 locks up a lot when I visit Amazon. I can't use it and when I try to close it, it crashes.
A lot of the times when I visit Amazon FF 4 locks up on me to the point that I can't use it. The only option to get out of it being locked up is to right click, then select "close" at which point a dialogue pops up saying that the program has stopped responding and to either wait or force it to close. Waiting does not work so I have to force it closed.
When I restart FF it will at least give the option to recover the session but then it usually locks up again if I let it reopen the same Amazon page.
This problem doesn't occur every time I visit Amazon but quite often. I think it locks up on me probably 60 percent of the time I visit Amazon.I have this same exact problem and for some reason it appears to be limited to Amazon. I have yet to hit another site that causes Firefox to freeze, but 80%+ of the times that I go to Amazon, Firefox freezes and I have to take the steps above that alvester states to close and restore (but I cannot restore with Amazon or it locks up again).
As it doesn't occur every single time, disabling my extensions hasn't proven anything to this point. I disable them and it works, but then when I enable them again, it works.... Until some future time when I go to Amazon and it hangs all over again. -

How do I stop Firefox looping from crash to start when it won't stay up long enough to enter into?
Ever since the latest update Firefox hasn't worked properly. It has the MyPoints latest toolbar attached to it and allowed me to view it then suddenly vanished. After that it started this open/crash loop that is so fast I can't click into the browser to try safe mode or to even access the toolbar. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled. Everything got worse and the MyPoints toolbar suddenly reappeared. A lot of extraneous programs were downloaded without my permission and it's taken days to uninstall all of those. I'm on a refurbished Windows 7 HP and just finished ALL the newest Windows updates. Tried Firefox again, same problem. Unless I can actually access Firefox (the mouse is supper sluggish when trying to click in the Firefox browser as if the browser is preventing access) I can't do any of the "fixes" suggested in your support forum. I have uninstalled and re-install Firefox about 4 times now but nothing changes. Yes, I deleted the Mozilla file in "programs". I can't do a screen shot because of the inability to access the window in the time allowed before it crashes and there is nothing to see but the opening window - no error messages. No crash report comes up. Just an endless loop of open/close/open/close etc.
Are you sure you didn't get an unofficial installer? You may need to visit the Windows '''Control Panel''', Uninstall a Program. After the list loads, click the "Installed on" column heading to group the infections, I mean, additions, by date. This can help surface innocent sounding bundle items that snuck in with some software you agreed to install. Take out as much trash as possible here.

Zoom resets to default when opening a new tab
I am using Firefox 23 on Ubuntu. It recently updated. The new behavior is not desired. Here is what happens. I open a page

I set my preferred zoom level with ctrl++ or View>>Zoom>>Zoom In
I open a link from that page in a new tab
http://www.foobar.com/story/12345/something-new-happening-today
the tab opens with zoom at the default level, and I have to set it again manually. PITA.
Earlier versions of Firefox kept the same zoom level when I opened links in new tabs as described above.
Firefox 23 retains my zoom level when I open a link in a new WINDOW, but NOT in a new tab.

I have been using firefox for a long time, today when i tried to launch firefox i recieved "Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections." i dont know how to fix this. I didnt change any settings, im the only person who uses this computer
You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection<br />
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"

Firefox persona resolution isn't accurate, why?
I made my persona header to 3000px width and 200px height, however when I test it only 1/4 of the whole thing shows, like the top right shows and when I made a persona before (The Birth by Sleep one) it worked perfectly. The same happens when I try out the footer, only one quarter shows up with the rest hidden out or underneath the actual browsing window. I don't have the .psd nor the .png of the Birth by Sleep persona to attempt to work from it.

You can ignore this plugin notification in Firefox and maybe contact the website to inform them about this issue. -
Flash player freeze a lot when playing Youtube videos fullscreen from Linux, but plays videos ok from Windows (CPU: AMD APU).
When playing video in default size it's OK (windows and Linux), but when setting video in full screen, on Linux there's troubles: video is hashed (freeze every 3 seconds).
CPU : AMD APU Athlon 5350.
OS : Linux Mint 17 (64 bits).
Browser: Firefox v31 (on Linux and Windows 7).

are having problems with, then we can rule out the website.
Other browser add ons, anti-virus programs, etc. affect the browser. Even tho, no problem with vs 9. Sometimes updates
can have an affect, even with Windows as we all know:-)

firefox plays video, but no sound. when I type about:plugins in location bar, it shows the firefox default plugin is not enabled. When I look at my plugins, it says it is enabled. I have uninstalled 3.6 and re-installed with the same result. Why do I have no sound. Computer plays I-tunes and all other sounds, just no web browser sounds.

The warning about the warranty is light hearted, I think at one stage it warned "here be dragons" but also intended to make us think as it warns that making changes may produce problems. -
Firefox is very slow to respond when opening and nearly always stops responding altogether, even refusing to react to the Task Manager "End Program" command. The "not responding" error message also comes up during navigation on line. Several attempt have to be made to get on line. A loss of stability seems to be endemic at the moment.

Firefox used to save open tabs when closing the browser. This no longer happens and Firefox says other session running. Task Manager shows that this is not the case.

Do you still get the problem in [[safe mode]] and with default themes, and all plugins disabled. Note common causes of crashes are malware, and versions of the software IDvault. (do you use IDvault ? - often provided by Comcast) -
After loading firefox it will open once then when i shut down unaberle access the web again
I load firefox and access the internet but when I back out of firefox to continue with something else and attempt to access the net again with firefox nothing happens. It lost in the back ground of the computer. Never had this problem before with firefox until I tried to use bitcomet and zonealarm. It fustrating.
Try to close Firefox via "File > Exit" if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the title bar.
