My Firefox version is up to date, I restored Firefox to default settings, restarted, I downloaded latest version of Flash and it will not run, it crashes..
Mac, OSX 10.6.8 (up to date), Firefox 28.0 (up to date). Adobe Flash was downloaded and no videos will run on any web pages using Firefox. I reset Firefox to default settings and restarted. I get the message that Adobe Flash has crashed. Shut computer down, rebooted. Same thing. Uninstalled Flash and the videos run but very choppy, jumping in 5 second increments after freezing. Firefox freezes and has to be force quit. Installed an older version of Flash and it will run, but I get a warning that it is vulnerable. I have gone through this several times and checked all my updates and they are the latest available. Videos do not run on the latest version of Safari either.
Downgrade to FlashPlayer 12.
I will add a link to a related post later. Flash 13 causes problems, and is a known issue with some older MAC s.

Downloaded 4.0 and it will not run on my version of OS X
I have a MAC OS X 10.4.11. I downloaded Firefox 4.0 and when I went to run it, it says "can not run with current version of OS X".
I need to either get to run 4.0 or to run the Firefox version I way previously using. I am at a loss and really would appreciate help to get back to Firefox.

If you run into the "another installation" message even after the reboot of the PC (which is an excellent idea by HTP ProXy), reregistering your Windows Installer Service is worth a try.
First, launch a command prompt as an administrator. In your Start search, type cmd then right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".
At the command prompt:
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Restart the PC and try another reinstalll. -

Yes I've read every one of them, none of them provide solutions whatsoever, I have spent about ten hours on this site in the past two days to no avail, none of the "resolved" threads provided any sort of solution for me, I have tried everything suggested on this website so far, multiple times, to no avail.

I have Firefox 16.0.2 installed. I have manually upgraded my Citrix plugin to the latest version (12.3.0.8), but when i run the "Check to see if your plugins are up to date" link it still has Status "Outdated Version", Action "Upgrade" in orange with a link that goes nowhere. Is this a problem with Firefox or Citrix plugin?

This appears to be a bug in Mozilla Firefox but no one has yet filed a report in [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org Bugzilla].

Trying to update Firefox from 3.6.22 to 6.0.2
I download latest version, follow directions to install (move to app folder, drag to dock) but the old version in the dock is what opens.
So I removed old version from dock, put new version in, and restarted computer for good measure.
But when I restart still have old version...
How do I get the newest version of Firefox to be the one my computer uses?
Have tried to download and install several times over several months without success...A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

I keep getting the message when I open Muse CC, that the latest version is here and that i need to download it... But when i click "Download Latest Version" and it takes me to the applications manager it tell me that Muse is "Up to date"..... I am running OSX 10.4.11 on my iMac; Firefox automatically updated to version 12, and now it will not run on my computer.

Please keep in mind that not only is Firefox not receiving any updates (thus rendering it insecure), neither is Mac 10.4 or any of the plugins used on it. Running such an old Operating System is dangerous to your information's security on the internet. something for you to keep in mind. -
