if your camera setting is automatic, the light will come on. you will have to personalize a setting with the light off and choose that setting when taking photos. you may have to do this everytime you start the camera because this phone isn't good at remembering settings as a result it reverts to automatic settings.
    hope this helps.

  • E90: Red light flash is always on

    Hi,
I have a Nokia E90 Communicator. recently there is a problem. The red flash light near the camera is always on. I tried switching off the mobile. but the light is still on. I pulled out the battery and when Inserted the battery the fist thing is the red color flash getting on.
Can anyone help me to switch it off. its very frustrating to see it always on.
    Thanks,
    Amit Garg

You probably need to Reset your phone or if that doesn't make any difference then you should check for a firmware update or re-installation using Nokia Software Updater.
Important: Back up all your important data, contacts, messages, etc., using "Nokia PC suite" on PC. You need to have a USB data cable too compatible to your phone.
I hope this will work for you.

    Ahmed.

  • Black screen red flashing light

    Plz help.
Today my touch screen on my bb torch 9800 wouldnt work, I did a battery pull and now my phone wont switch back on. the screen is black and there is a red flashing light.
I have had my bb neary 18 months and never had a prob before.
Can you advise what i should do next,

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Put your BB onto a known-good wall charger for 2 hours, and do not touch it. Then, with it still on that charger, remove the battery, leaving it out for 5 minutes (with the BB still on that charger!). Put the battery back in. If it boots up, leave it alone (still on the charger) for 5 hours to see if it will fully charge and function again.
    Good luck!

  • Neo2 865 Flashing lights messages?

    Hi all,
I registered because I didn't seem to be finding what I was looking for, anywhere. I have been using a MSI Neo2 865(PE? It has the two SATA connectors but no Promise chip) mainboard since late 2003, and overall I'm impressed with its ability to handle a good many things I throw it. (For years I've run a dual-boot setup on it, with an Ultra-ATA drive versed in 98 and a SATA drive versed in XP, plugged through a hardware power switcher so that only one drive is powered at any time, giving the power supply some breathing room to run an ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 video card, a Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro sound card with outboard box (powered by the power supply still), a DVD+RW/-RW drive, two SATA drives connected to a RAID-0/1 PCI card, and a floppy drive.)
Through the years, I seem to notice that the "flashing lights", that I always thought meant to be a decoration, would suddenly change in certain situations. This has come to light (pardon the pun) again this weekend as my XP setup now refuses to boot (tried making a boot disk, did a full DOS scan with Norton Antivirus' latest definitions as of two days ago, finding no virus... Heck, when using a Win98 boot disk, I can retrieve the entire boot drive directory structure... XP _just_ _won't_ _load_... and this after getting a surprising Skype error message saying "No audio recorder is present" (or somesuch), which _both_ my audio cards (mobo and Creative) were giving me audible, positive returns... then CRASH! And refuse to boot. Followed Microsoft post 314503 re: XP hanging with a black screen before even the "Windows XP" logo screen shows... all except FIXBOOT, as it's a DOS command).
(NOTE: I am NOT talking about the D-Bracket here!!! I am talking about the square box encasing a set of six lights, arranged in a circle, on the mobo: two green, two red, two blue.)
I'd tried everything with my setup, including disconnecting one memory card and plugging another in. I leave my memory cards loosely in the slots when not in use (I hear you going "Tsk! Tsk!" ) as Windows 98 usually doesn't handle more than 512 kb (I've downloaded a tricky "Service Pack" that allows it to run up to 1 MB of memory), and I don't always need to use 2 Megs of memory in XP. Sometime during the weekend, I noticed that the set of six lights only had its red lights on. I verified its state the next few times I rebooted, and sure enough, the green and blue LEDs were still out. I decided to try loosening the unplugged memory card. Voila! Upon next loadup, all six lights were blinking happily in its regular array of patterns and speeds.
Again during the weekend, there came a time when I tested the XP boot disk again. Nothing. However, this time the lights flashed blue for several 98 boots... no green, no red. I thought this may have something to do with the fact that I couldn't boot from my other (XP) drive. After a few 98 boots, again the lights were blinking happily.
Now, I notice something different again. All lights are solidly on _except_ for one of the blue ones. No blinking, nothing... just solid on.
I've looked high and low for LED error codes (which always invariably brought me back to D-bracket descriptions), blue light (which has brought me to other people's misfortunes which didn't mirror mine) and blue LED (giving a disappointing list of references to Bluetooth). I'm left to believe that if this is, in fact, a diagnostic feature of my Neo2 865(PE?) motherboard, well it isn't a very well known one.
    Can anybody help?
    Thanks in advance,
    Glen

those lights can just stop working = no big deal, the fan the lights are mounted in can become noisy, as so many have just disconnected the fan and went without, a replacement fan can be mounted if you wish.
a dual boot setup needs both drives available [not disconnected ] at all times, the memory needs to be continually in place, this connect/disconnect [hard drives/memory sticks] will lead to problems.
i suggest you plug in all and test ram with memtest86+ for a few hours, test hard drives with the downloadable diagnostic software, if pass then reload 98 first, then xp, and quit monkeying around with your system before you break it for good, if you havn't allready.

  • My iphone 4s get wet in water yesterday and now back flash light get stuck and camera also will not open what happen to it ? will you please help me ?

my iphone get wet in water yesterday and back camera flash light get stucked, how can i recover it ? please help me ?

What happened is it got wet.  Water and electronics don't go well together.  You need to switch it off and bury it in bag of dry rice for a week at least.  This may or may not work - but continuing to try to use it in its current state will kill it for sure.  You can enquire at an Apple store about out-of-warranty replacement, depending on where you are.

  • Camera Issues -- Flash light

All the pictures I took with the flash light were covered by a white layer.  My Z1 has been updated to the most recent version.  I tried to use the auto-mode or manual mode.  I always get a white layer, like I am in the fog on all my picture.
    Please help!

Well, me and my friends were testing this phone and out of 20 people 2 had this problem i was one of them
... we all had same model of black xperia z1.
I managed to get to the bottom of this .... i think. First of all if u have additional case cover with too small "window" around the lens or additional protective foil the problem is getting even bigger.... foil transports more light fom flash so check if the photo is better wothout additional protective foil or case cover (im not talking about original one).
    Anyway....
My phone has silver border around the lens and i had same problem over and over again. Sometimes when i restarted it i managed to get few pictures of god quality.........one day i just painted this silver border with thin black marker with caution and....viola.... problem dissapered... funny thing because out of 20 same models ony 2 experienced same problem ... all looked the same, dunno maybe flash is brighen on those 2 mabe some other problem ....anyway i know its not the best solution and it but it helped me. cheers

Search on On-Line shops, like Handango or My-Symbian. It must be there.

  • 2nd gen green-yellow flashing lights with content on iPod

so I looked up the definition of the alternating green-yellow flashing lights and it apparently means that there's no content on the iPod.
But when connected to Mac iTunes it shows that there actually is content on it. Hmmm. I can even play that content *from* the iPod through iTunes interface and hear it through the powerbook speakers.
I ran the iPod reset utility, reset the firmware in iTunes and reloaded the podcasts. Still the same thing.
Seems to sync fine. Don't know what's going on with this.

Make sure the mode switch is set to "play-in-order" and NOT "shuffle".
Flashing green-yellow means there's no PLAYABLE content on the shuffle.

  • N82 - Flash Light Keep on flashing

    Hi all,
Need help here, i got a N82, used almost a year, the this is my flash light keep on flashing even if it off, one more thing the red light at the flash always on. It only will go off if when my battery completely dry out or if i take out the battery. I already reset the phone by pressing *#7370# but the light is still there. Is it hardware mulfunction? If i want to repair the phone what is the estimated cost?

If the red light is always on and your xenon flash is blinking then it is either the result of moisture (water/sweat/steam) damage or a hardware failure.
You should get it checked out at a nokia care point.

  • I suddenly have two flashing lights on my keyboard by the caps lock key and over the end/pg up key.

I encountered a problem waking my laptop (Pavilion dv7-1270us) this morning.  At first it would not wake up and had to do a hard reboot.  Now I have two flashing lights on the keyboard -the caps lock light and the one over the end/pg up keys over the number pad.  I have run several diagnostics and cannot find an answer as to what this is.
