My Flash player is lost

hi,
i have installed the new flash player version and when i try
to compile my application i get:
"Flex Builder cannot locate the required version of the Flash
Player. You may need to install Flash Player 9.0 or reinstall Flex
Builder. Do you want to try to run your application with the
current version?"
any ideas ??
Jaimon

Uninstall the currently installed Flash plugin first, then reinstall new >   Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
And if you have anti virus software installed, Adobe suggests disabling that before try to download Flash.

  • After installing Flash Player, I lost sound on Youtube and other sites.  How do I fix it?

After installing Flash Player, I lost sound on Youtube and other sites.  How do I fix it?  I still have sound on some apps.

To help troubleshoot we'll need the following system information:
    Operating   system
    Browser
    Flash   Player version
When reporting issues with video or audio, it's also helpful to get your system hardware and driver details.  Instructions for finding this information can be found here:
    Windows
    Mac
Finally, sometimes video and audio problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player.  I recommend trying both of the links below to see how they perform.  If the problem exists with both, then Flash Player is most likely not the culprit as the HTML5 video link does not use Flash Player when playing.  You can verify the use of HTML5 by right clicking the HTML5 video and looking for the words "About HTML5" at the bottom of the context menu.
    HTML5   video
    Non-HTML5 video

Since two days ago, when I responded to a Zynga game instruction on Face Book  to upgrade to the newest version of Flash Player, I lost the ability to open the game but more importantly I can't open pdf files any more either. All pdf files  in Safari open as jibberish BUT they still work correctly in Firefox and Preview. Please help.

  • I have lost track of the number of websites that do not work properly on the iPad without Adobe Flash player which is unsupported. I cannot use retail sites, billing sites and most important of all job application sites. All are missing tabs, links, info

I have lost track of the number of websites which do not work properly on my iPad. They include retail sites, billing sites and most important of all job application sites. They all seem to require Adobe Flash Player which cannot be downloaded onto an iPad. Skyfire does not solve the problem. They all load without vital parts of the site such as tabs, links and correct formatting. Any suggestions?

Most such brower/service combinations have a difficult time working with Flash-based apps and often fail completely. Flash videos are usually the most successful content these browers can handle. You can try the others apps - Puffin, iSwifter, etc - but you may find that none of them work, in which case you will not be able to use your iPad with these sites other than by using one of the various remote control solutions to take over a computer running the full Flash Player.
IMHO, any developer that built a Flash application for a billing or job application site was an idiot, but I know that's out of the control of anyone but the relevant company.
    Regards.

  • KDE: Flash player configuration appears in category Lost and Found

Adobe flash player comes with file
    /usr/share/kde4/services/kcm_adobe_flash_player.desktop
This file contains a line controling where the flash player configuration should appear in the KDE system settings:
    X-KDE-System-Settings-Parent-Category=personal
Unfortunately the parent category does not exist. Hence the Adobe flash player configuration control appears in category "Lost and Found".
The line should be replaced by:

  • Lost connection in Adobe Flash Player Installer

Everytime I try and install flash player, the Adobe Fash Player Installer runs fine until i get to the "downloading" part. It always gets stuck at 7% on this step and then says "lost connection. trying to reconnect", then it says "connection failed. Unable to complete Install". I have tried power cycling the device, using multiple browsers, uninstalling flash and downloading the newest version installer, nothing in trouble shooting has helped. Screenshots below. Please help!
    Thanks!

    Mike M,
I was experiencing this issue with watching videos using the flash player on my MAc. When i was trying to install the update i ran into another issue which i explained to you in the previous email. you were able to resolve that issue and i have updated flash player. After updating flash player, i am still having the issue. you can see that i have replicated the issue in two different browsers in the screenshots below. Do you have any suggestions on how to watch videos using the flash player??

  • Lost Flash Player atfer install Windows 8.1

After installing Windows 8.1 , I have lost Flash Player. Adobe refuses downloading of Flash Player. What to do?

    Vitor Goncalves wrote:

That was BEFORE 8.1.... trust me.
IE for Windows 8 has Flash Player embedded by Microsoft and it has NEVER been downloadable from here. The Flash Player Plug-in (for all other browsers) is downloadable and installable on 8 & 8.1, but it ISN'T the one for Internet Explorer.
Your problem is most likely the fact that Windows 8.1 automatically installs IE11, and it's a "rolling train wreck". Literally thousands of web pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • Lost Administrative Password and Have to update my flash player. How Can I get around this for updates?

Sure needing help here. I've lost my administrative password on my mac and have to update my adobe flash player. I've researched several, seemingly (to me) complicated ways around this. Does anyone have an easy solution.  Really need this back up and running! Thanks in advance.

This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.
If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt.  If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.
If you're still stumped, you may need to reset the password on your Mac:

  • I lost flash player so tried to reinstall but got error messge the IE has to close?

I lost flash player so tried to install again but got message that IE had to close.  No other windows were open??

    Hello,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
Sometimes application are still running on background, not visible to users, you need to close them using "Windows Task Manager"
To close such programs use the Windows Task Manager.  To start Task Manager, take any of the following actions:
Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then click Task Manager.
    Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
Right-click an empty area of the taskbar, and then click Task Manager.
Once the Task Manager is running, select the Processes tab.  On older Windows version you may need to click on the Process Name or Image Name header to sort the process names.
Now right-click on every process that the Flash Player installer needs to close (e.g. iexplore.exe), then select End Process.
    Thanks,
    Vikram

  • I lost flash player for some reason and the download keeps losing connection at 7% copletion. Fire w

I have lsot flash player and the download states it has lost connection at 7% completion. Always the same message and it doesn't matter if my virus scan and firewall and ie are turned off or are on. I have two hours invested in this so far. Oh, and I am p private individual not a business.
My original download was a no brainer but this one is.......

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking one (or both) of the following links and choosing "Save as".
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Save the file(s) to your downloads folder - DO NOT run anything yet.
    Reboot your system.
BEFORE you open anything else, locate and run the installer(s).

Mac Flash Player Installer stalls at 25% or 30% followed by Connection Lost Start Over, which I do with same result.

This morning we resolved a problem that prevented Flash Player installations from completing for some of our Macintosh users.
If you encountered this problem, please delete any previously downloaded Flash Player installer and either:
1.)      Download the installer again from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
    2.)      Download the stand-alone installer from  http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg

  • Flash player installation dies at 33% lost connection, cannot reconnect

    WinXP
    Tried through FF, IE, Chrome.
Tried uninstalling, clearing cache closing all browsers
Tried downloading direct install NPAPI link (still trying to download after 5ish minutes)
Every time I get same result; it downloads, starts installing then loses connection and can't reconnect.
    HELP!   please.

    Hello,
The shim installer (as denoted by the screenshots) downloads/installs Flash Player silently.  Network connection/latency issues can result in lost connection errors.  The full installers download the entire file upfront, and once launched do not perform any further downloads in the background.  If you're having network connection/latency issues, please try downloading the full installers, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page, in the 'Still having problems' section.
