My Flash Player is up-to-date. 11.6.602.180

Hi,I'm using Mozilla Firefox 18. I have Flash Player 11 Plug-In & Flash Player 11 Active X. It all started yesterday when I tried to play my games on Facebook they were loading very slowly. Then when I put it in Full Screen it's even slower! Also I've noticed that the Flash Player Icon appears on my Taskbar but only when it goes to Full Screen. I can't click on it because when I get my screen to normal size it disappears! I'm using Windows 7. Please HELP?

Hi itsfiona,
I'm by NO means any kind of expert on computers, BUT have you not upgraded your Firefox to 20. yet? (they always send me the notice to click on link & upload when a new version comes out.)
I was having a couple other problems & when I updated from FF link to 20., computer performing better-not great but a lot better than it was.
(btw I have Win Vista-but quit using Windows/IE a few years back for FF-happier. have never gone in & updated Windows from about 3/4 yrs ago-only FF)
Hope this helps you
Good Luck

  • After "updating" it still tells me that my Flash Player is out of date.

    Hello,
I'm hoping you can help. My MacBook notified me to update my Flash Player. However, After I did complete the update it still says Flash Player Out of Date. Can you please help me?

For some reason my Flash Player just started working. I had tried about 5 times to install it each time at the end it said my flash player is out of date. Suddenly it changes? Something is very strange about that.

I did try to uninstall and reinstall.  It messed up my computer.  I had to "RESTORE" from the prior days backup.  This was not helpful at all.  I'm used to losing all my stuff when I connect to iTunes, that's a whole other issue, but now I'm completely banned from any updates to my phone at all.  Geeze.......

  • Hi, my MacBook says Adobe Flash Player is out of date???

    Hi,
First, I got a message saying that Adobe Flash Player was out of date.
Then, when I went to the Adobe Flash website, it said "Adobe® Flash® Player requires Mac OS 10.6 or higher."
My computer is a Mac OS X Version 10.5.8.
Does this mean I have to buy a new computer to get Adobe Flash Player???
I find it strange, because my MacBook says Flash Player requires Mac OS 10.6 or higher, but my iPad, which is an iPad 2, by the way, says that Adobe Flash Player is not supported on my device.
What is going on?? How can I get Flash Player on both my MacBook, but also my iPad as well???
Does this mean I have to buy a new computer and a new tablet???
Is there any other way to get Flash Player or to view videos or video-like things??
Is there a way to manually install Flash Player??
    What is the issue here???
Would anyone help me out on this??
    Thanks,
    Bonnie

    Hi Niel,
    1. What is the best DVD to buy?? Because I realize there are different versions, like Mac OS X 10.6 that you mentioned, but there seem to be other versions as well.
    2. What is the most updated version that works for MY computer???
    3. Is there a difference between the different version, or only that one is the newest, and one is less expensive??
    Thanks,
    Bonnie

  • Adobe Flash Player is out of date pop-up panel

Periodically I'm getting a pop-up panel on my desktop that says my Adobe Flash Player is out of date.  I've check their site, and I'm current with version: 17.0.0.134.
Here's a couple of examples of the panels.  Are these panels legitimate?....THANKS!!

Dubious that these are legitimate; either your system is infected with malware, or you are visiting infected websites.
Only download Flash Player updates from the adobe.com or macromedia.com website:
Flash Player for Internet Exporer - ActiveX
Flash Player for Firefox - NPAPI
Flash Player for Mac OS X
P.S. your installed Flash Player version 17.0.0.134 is current, so you wouldn't get any such notifications from Adobe.

  • Adobe Flash Player is out of date (GOOGLE CHROME) it isn't...

    Hello!
I am not very computer savvy so bare with me, but if anyone can help me I would be very grateful.
I am using Google Chrome web browser (I have IE and FF but for some reason they are sooo slow). Everytime I visit a page that uses Flash (every page in the world almost) I get this ERROR message...
(jigsaw puzzle logo) Adobe Flash Player was blocked because it is out of date.                                 Two boxes... 'Run this time' + Update plug-in
I clicked update and it took me to the Adobe Flash page. It says it requires a MAC OS 10.6 or higher
My MAC is an OS 10.5.8
SO... I found the version for this OS and downloaded/installed.
Restarted my computer, launched Chrome and what d'ya know, I got the same message!!!
I don't know what I need to do now. I tried lower versions, still not working and I can't upgrade to Lion as this is a 10.5 (great!)
My processor is a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Mem 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
    Just incase that helps.
If anyone knows how to fix this or what I need to buy to make it work I would very much appreciate the advice!
    Thank you
OH I also just found on the Chrome:Plugins page that beside the FLASH note it says:
Flash - Version: 10.3.183.29 Download Critical Security Update
    Shockwave Flash 10.3 r183
When I click on download critical... it downloads and still doesn't work.

  • Flash Player is out of date in Google Chrome

I have a Macbook with Mac OS X 10.5.8 version (Intel Core 2 Duo).
I run the internet on Google Chrome, but some time ago it started showing this message on every window.
"Adobe Flash Player was blocked because it is out of date."
It shows grey windows with no flash content. And when I hit the button "Run this time", it starts playing the flash content. But it is an annoyance when I have to hit this button on every new window.
I wonder how to solve this problem. Google advises me to solve this problem by displaying this message>
Note: Although not recommended, if you don't want Google Chrome to notify you when a plug-in is out of date, use the command line flag --allow-outdated-plugins. Instructions on how to add a command line flag can be found on our Chromium site .
But I tried to follow the command and it was too difficult for me to understand.
I updated the Flash Player many times and I am sure it is up to date, but somehow this message still shows up. I also tried to uninstall my Google Chrome but don't know how.
I like Google Chrome better than Safari because it responds faster than Safari and has less freezing problems.

    Hi,
I downloaded the Google Chrome from the link that you provided. But somehow it doesn't work on my Mac. According to my computer specifications it is supposed to be compatible. It installs with the strange icon in front. And when I try to open the application it displays a message "You cannot use this Google Chrome on this Version of Mac OS". Please see the images that were displayed on my computer. I am confused.

  • Why does Chrome insist Adobe Flash Player is out of date, but I have the latest version?

I run Mac OSx 10.5.8. I am trying to use Chrome, but the Flash is not working on either Safari or Chrome. Chrome insists Adobe Flash is out of date
, but I have the latest version available to my OS.
I have tried uninstalling, disabling plugins, reinstalling and enabling.
I have tried updating via Adobe website over 10 times.
I have tried switches which just run the outdated plugins...
I have tried renaming the system plugin in the Library and pasting in Chrome package contents
I don't have two flash plugins in the chrome:plugins
This is the error message in the chrome:plugins
Flash - Version: 10.3.183.23 Download Critical Security Update
The link goes to the Adobe website to install version 10.3.183.23, which I already have.
    Please help?

The Flash version I have, 10.3, is the latest compatible with the Mac OSX 10.5.
Yes, it is indeed! Sorry I missed you're on OS X 10.5.8.
    I reinstalled Chrome...
Can you confirm it is version 21.0.1180.79? It's important you confirm you're at the latest version of Google Chrome too.
... and I have the same issue of the Flash player not automatically updating.
I would repeat myself... "available updates for Adobe Flash Player are automatically included in Chrome system updates".
Chrome automatically updates when new versions of Flash Player are available. The integrated Google Chrome Flash plug-in cannot be uninstalled using the Flash Player uninstaller. You can only enable or disable the integrated plug-in.
Therefore, as it's showing you're at the latest version 10.3.183.23, it would appear it is an issue 'internal' to Chrome's system updates; reason why I had referred you to their support, or alternativelly, post to their forums.
However, you can try Adobe's Help page (for Mac) here >
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html
And alternativelly (Flash Player with Google Chrome) here >
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-google-chrome.html
Regret couldn't do better for you but please confirm by return how it goes.
    Good Luck!

  • YouTube, Facebook, Google Maps doesn't work - says Flash Player is out of date

    Hello.
I have MacBook Pro since summer last year. In recent days, strange problem occured. When I want to open either YouTube, Facebook or Google Maps a window pops up saying "WARNING! Your Flash Player may be out of date. Please update to continue." (fig. 1) After clicking on OK, Safari shows page, that looks like Adobe Update page (fig. 2). After clicking anywhere, a setup.exe file is downloaded and thats all. After this, nothing else happens. I still cant view these pages and it is pretty annoying. I tried installing, uninstalling and reinstalling Flash Player but it didn't helped. I also searched the web but couldn't find solution. Any help will be highly appreciated.

The update alerts are fake, and are intended to dupe you into installing malware or disclosing private information so that your identity can be stolen.
You might get the alerts when visiting a website that has been hacked. Don't visit the site again. If applicable, notify the site administrator of the problem, but don't send email to an unknown party.
If you get the alerts when visiting more than one well-known website, such as Google, YouTube, or Facebook, then they're almost certainly the result of an attack on your router that has caused you to get false results from looking up the addresses of Internet servers. Requests sent to those sites are redirected to a server controlled by the attacker. It's possible, but less likely, that the DNS server used by your ISP has been attacked, but you should assume that the router is at fault until proven otherwise.
The router's documentation should tell you how to reset it to the factory default state. Usually there's a pinhole switch somewhere in the back. It may be labeled "RESET." Insert the end of a straightened paper clip or a similar tool and press the button inside for perhaps 15 seconds, or as long as the instructions specify.
After resetting the router, quit the web browser and relaunch it while holding down the shift key. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Do the equivalent if you use another browser. Open the Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize.
Then go through the router's initial setup procedure. I can't be specific, because it's different for every model. The key points are these:
    1. Don't allow the router to be administered from the WAN (Internet) port, if it has that option. Most do.
    2. Set a strong password to protect the router's settings: at least ten random upper- and lower-case letters and digits.  Don't use the default password or any other that could be guessed. Any password that you can remember is weak.
    3. If the router is wireless, or if you have a wireless access point on the network, use "WPA 2 Personal" security and set a different strong password to protect the network. If the router or access point doesn't support WPA 2, it's obsolete and must be replaced.
During the time the router was compromised, you were redirected to bogus websites. If you ever connected to a secure site and got a warning from your browser that the identity of the server could not be verified, and you dismissed that warning in order to log in, assume that your credentials for the site have been stolen and that the attacker has control of the account. This warning also applies to all websites on which you saw the fake update alerts.
Check the router manufacturer's website for a firmware update.
If you downloaded and installed what you thought was a software update, ask for instructions.

  • Have a mac. It says, "Adobe Flash Player is up to date on this system." Not working on sites.

My mac is up to date with Flash Player, but all the sites still say I need to update. I can't get it to work. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I've tried everything and spent hours looking at the adobe troubleshooting pages. I need help and don't have $40 to get help over the phone.

When the Flash plugins crashes, Firefox usually records information about what was happening at that moment. This might be fairly generic, but in some cases it might be helpful. Please check the last section of the support article "[[Firefox Crashes]]" for steps to find the report IDs for those crashes, and then post some of the recent ones here.
This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with the Flash Player plugin. I'm sure you've seen some of it before, but just in case:
    (1) If you have any recorders/downloaders that interact with Flash media make sure they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily.
    (2) Disable hardware graphics acceleration in Firefox and in Flash
    (A) In Firefox, un-check the box here and restart:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > General > "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    (B) In Flash, see this support article from Adobe: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues
    (3) Disable the protected mode feature. That feature has security benefits, but seems to have compatibility issues on some systems. This involves creating or editing a settings file. The following pages/posts provide different approaches for that:
    * Adobe support article under the heading "Last Resort": [http://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493#TemporaryWorkaround Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?]
    * Manual steps: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/968190?page=5#answer-509209
    * Batch file to automate the manual steps: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/982093#answer-518078
Flash needs to completely unload from memory (exiting and starting Firefox up again might help) before this takes effect.
    Any improvement?

I just downloaded Adobe Flash Player, but I still get the message "Adobe Flash Player out of date" and I cannot play videos. I use Mac OS X Yosemite on a MacBook Pro. How can I fix this?

    1. System Preferences >  Flash Player > Advanced >  Delete  All
         Press the "Delete All" button.
         Install Adobe Flash Player.
        http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
       Download it first.
       The next step is important.
Click Safari in the menubar and select “Quit Safari”.
Follow the prompts and install it.
        Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.

  • I have a disclaimer that says my Adobe Flash Player is out of date and needs to be updated.  I have been trying to figure this out for 2 days, which is a waste of time, and I chatted with Adobes Customer Service department who said they can't help me

because it is a free application.  They referred me to the Forum (which I have tried many times) but to me that is like a dog trying to chase the tail.  I am very upset because I cannot get You Tube nor can I listen to music.  This may seem trite but it is not trite to me.  I pay monthly for the use of CC Photoshop and Lightroom.  I will not give them anymore money for other software as they do not offer excellent customer service.  I am a consumer and should be treated with business sense.   Adobe keeps making a ton of money and gets away with it.  They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.  Shame on Adobe.  I will not use the Forum for assistance. They should be paying us for learning an IT job.  Obviously, Adobe is self centered because they don't consider that maybe we all have a life and cannot worship Adobe.@

I had been getting those notices for months, I finally broke down and hit the button to automatically upgrade. I was flooded with offers of new services from $10. to $49. per month - and my audio/video for Facebook, NYT and NPR are "blocked" with the advice to "upgrade " my Adobe Flash Player - for which there does not seem to be any customer support. My advice is to skip the "upgrading" if your computer works;I do not know what to do now . .  .
