My folder is empty but my playlists are full?

I was trying to create a playlist inside my folder, and now the folder shows empty content with the two playlists that still contain the music.  I cannot sync this folder and its music to my ipod.  When I try to sync, It ignores that folder and its contents.  I cannot move the playlists anywhere.  I cannot copy the contents of my playlists back to the folder.

I think I've been trying that(2), but when i press OK a pop-up says that I don't have the authorization to do this, and when I try it a second time, nothing happens. And I'm not sure how to set up a new windows user, i tried removing all the iTunes software and all that and reinstalling, but that didn't do anything, and the playlist was still intact.
Edit* There's also a little lock icon beside the ipod information at the bottom of the iTunes screen when i have my iPod selected. it tells me Used: 1.50 GB and shows the little bar and then Free: 335.5 MB and then this little lock. ??????????

I transfered all my music over from my old to my new laptop but my playlists are not there. How do i get my playlists?

You need to transfer the iTunes library, not just the music.
Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to new computer.
    Launch iTunes.
This is all you need to do

Try here >  iTunes: How to re-create your iTunes library and playlists
If you haven't authorized the computer yet...
Launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Store / Authorize This Computer

  • Folder shows empty but is not empty

I installed about hundred applications. I put it in folder Games. In one moment this folder showed empty. So the applications are there within but is too much and the folder can't show it.
If I open games it shows empty and when I return EVERY FOLDER get empty. Like the memory sucks.
I can't uninstall it because Applications Manager IS A F**** GARBAGE. It stop to work after 50 application and give "Memory full".
With "Batch uninstaller" I uninstalled some of it but folder games is still show empty. The only change was after I opened games the other folder stop to show empty.
I found /t5/Pool-of-Knowledge/How-to-Remove-quot-stuck-quot-Apps/td-p/692348  and did this step to remove maually Java applications from Games folder BUT when I install it again it says that I still have it and ask me to overwrite it. And after reinstallation I cant find it. I suppose it goes AGAIN in folder games.
How to make folder games to show his content? I don't have option "delete". Or how to reinstall the applications again but after reinstall to be in other folder like "Applications" for example, not to go in Games automatically?
If you fix it with hard reset because as you know this is vivid defect => I did not break any condition in my warranty as I used properly this product => According EU consumer's law if same defect appears more than 2 times the producer is obliged to replace the product OR to return the money.
So, I DON'T advice you to give me a solution as "hard reset" unless if you are not sure that this defect will not appear SECOND time after the reset which I deliberately will install hundred of your OVI applications and will put it into ONE GAMES FOLDER just because I CAN without to break any item in the user manual compliant with EU consumer laws.
Please fell free to solve the defect of my product in warranty under EU law terms which is 1 month. All further issues could be arranged by authority of EU consumers protection laws if my party conceive for necessary

      1. See Lion/Mountain Lion/Mavericks' Storage Display.
      2. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
      3. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
      4. Also see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
      5. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
      6. See The Storage Display.
You must Empty the Trash in order to recover the space they occupied on the hard drive.
You should consider replacing the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
Try using OmniDiskSweeper 1.8 or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.
You will need a minimum of 10-12 GBs of free space to install Yosemite, however, that is a bare minimum and should be at least twice that amount.

  • Where are my iWeb files located? My Domain folder is empty but the pages still open in iWeb.

I have a Macbook Pro OSX 10.6.8. iWeb opens all my pages and the website is fine.  When I look for the page files so that i can edit them in Text Edit I cannot find them.
I have searched EVERY file folder etc. on my computer including the Domain folder which shows empty.
So my question is - Where are they and how do I access them?

Download and use  Find Any File  to search for ".sites".  FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't and if you have a second domain file on your HD FAF will find it.
If you want to access the HTML files of your website then you need to publish your website to a folder on your hard drive.  With iWeb 2 that's done with the File ➙ Publish to a Folder menu option.
With iWeb 3 that's done by clicking on the site folder in iWeb and selecting the folder you want to publish toi:

  • Suddenly hundreds of "sent" messages disappeared. Folder is empty, but 'properties' says there are 679 messages. So not deleted I guess. But where are they?

The only thing I changed before this happened was the 'retention' policy in my account settings with respect to retaining/deleting messages on the server. I had that set at 'never delete' while I was away for a week, but changed it to delete after 7 days on my return today. All sent messages then disappeared on the server, and I discovered later to my surprise in my computer as well. Next to the "Sent" folder in the computer there's now a small square that's filled in darkly. I don't know if the square was there before, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't dark if it was there at all. I really need those 'sent' messages - at least the most recent ones. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Also - I could do a 'system restore', but have the feeling that won't affect my Thunderbird account at all. Is that right?

I suspect your account is an IMAP account. With IMAP all mail is managed on the server. If you delete a message in Thunderbird it is removed on the server as well, and vice versa.
So I think what happened is what's described in the article in the
'It's just doing what you told it to do' section.
    More details in this article.
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Message_aging
If you want to avoid messages being deleted set the retention policy to 'never delete'.
I don't think I understand what 'a small square that's filled in darkly' is.
A system restore won't do you any good as the Thunderbird profile isn't covered.
Miscellaneous.msf won't help. Msf files are index files, and do not contain any messages.
Your best bet is to restore a backup of your profile.

  • How do I restore playlist folders from iPod classic to iTunes? The library is intact, but the playlists are not and I don't want to rebuild them from scratch!

After reformatting my HD and reimporting all songs back into iTunes succesfully, the playlist folders are gone and I don't want to rebuild them from scratch. How do I restore playlists from iPod classic to iTunes 11.1.3 without resorting to 3rd party options?

I actually tried that in "my computer" by renaming the drive and then got this:
    g-raid (F:) (H:)
then after reading your reply realized I should try renaming it in "disk management" and hey! it worked.
Thanks a lot for the advice.
Now I don't understand why my back-up drive isn't automatically adding the files when I import into the Ex-HD but I'll figuree it out.

  • Folder says 62gb but files inside are Zero bytes

    Hola guys.
I usually come here with some weird issues related to FCS but this is a bit different and I'm not sure where to put it. I have some Pro Res HQ footage in a folder that's about 62 GB combined. I was converting them through Compressor 4 to Pro Res LT but I canceled the batch because I only needed specific files... Then I noticed that 2 files wer unrecognized and didn't have either a preview or a file size. I went back to Compressor and converted the files I needed and left the office. I came back to find that multiple files are now unrecognized and without file size... The folder still says 62 GB but the files that still work are 32 GB in total size therefore the rest of the footage and their sizes are still be calcualted... what do?

    That link was extremely helpful.
I have managed to get the fonts working on my windows machine by doing the following:
    1) download the Mac OSX package of fondu and install it:
    http://fondu.sourceforge.net/index.html#Downloads
    2) open a terminal window on the mac and convert the fonts using fondu:
    cd ~/Library/Fonts
    /usr/local/bin/fondu Berli*
that 2nd command converts all the fonts starting with 'Berli' into pfb fonts. Not sure what these are exactly but I think they're unix fonts.
    3) Move all the resulting pfb and bdf files to my windows machine.
    4) Download and install the trial version of CrossFont on my windows machine and use it to covert the files from pfb to otf.
    5) use the font control panel to install the resulting otf fonts.

  • 6600 fold - contacts empty but somewhere in phone

On monday I wasn't able to make calls due to "error in connection". I checked the Nokia site and there it stated that I had to backup my phone, install new firmware and restore the backup.
For some odd reason, the backup didn't get all of my contacts, so I created a csv file to import them.
Importing contacts worked, they are visible in 'Nokia Communication Centre'. But they are NOT visible on the contacts on my phone. When I hit the 'names', it showes (empty).
But when I create an sms, I am able to match the "to", so the contacts are somewhere on the phone. Also when calling someone, are receiving a call, the caller's name shows.
Any help is appreciated, because I'm done experimenting an trying...

Think I got it! I reset the factory settings, and did the firmware upgrade again, 3 times until it finally was succesful.
Then imported the contacts via PC suite, and there they were!
After that I restored the calendar and messages from a backup. Strangest thing: contacts were gone again!
Re-imported them again, and once they were on my phone, unplugged it and uninstalled pc Suite.
That was the last time I connected my phone to pc

  • TS4002 Since update to IOS 7.03 , i show unread email in the unread folder and inbox, but when folders are open it updates and in large and small window says no email, but note at bottom still says unread email exist. The total is growing by the day.

Cannot see phantom supposed emails that are unread, its say on page no email, but bottom shows unreads, this only happened after upgrade to 7.03

    A reset may cure this.
Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.

  • IPod is empty but says it is full, iTunes won't recognize it

    Hello,
I have a click wheel 4th (?) generation 80gb ipod. Yesterday my ipod froze so I attempted to reboot it. Instead of holding down the menu/centre keys at the same time, I held down play/centre keys by accident. Anyhow, the ipod restarted fine but when I scrolled down I noticed that there was no music! I thought I must have just erased everything somehow, but then when I checked the settings tab my ipod said it was completely full, not by songs though, or videos, but by "other". I connected it to my computer but itunes won't read it. It does appear in Windows Explorer and in My Computer though, but when I try to open it to see what's on the ipod both the programs freeze. I've tried all the restore methods I can, have switched to disc mode and diagnostic mode, etc, and have followed the steps listed in the reformat/restore articles on this site. I've also reinstalled the ipod drivers to make sure that it's connected to my computer normally (my computer recognizes it, and identifies it as an ipod, but itunes isn't interested in believing this apparently). I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to somehow restore or even format an ipod without using itunes. And also, if I was able to completely reformat my ipod (which would make it a blank piece of hardware, correct?) is it then possible to reload all the menu software, etc., just using itunes?
I realise that all my songs and files are certainly lost, but just getting it back functioning with itunes would surely make my day!
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.
    Adam.

the bar at the bottom of itunes says (when ipod is
    connected)
    Used :1.82 GB =============== Free: 416 KB
I have nothing on any playlist or library on itunes
and my ipod had nothing on it. When i try to add
songs the message pops up saying i dont have enough
    free space.
I have the same issue. I have updated software and restored Ipod...but it still says it has 1.82GB available (which is wierd because it's a 2GB model) and will only let me download 1.57GB.
    HELP!

  • Address Panel in Mail.app empty but Address Book app full

I recently updated to Mountain Lion. I have a mid-2011 iMac i7. I can't honestly say that it stopped working with the advent of Mountain Lion but it is the most recent change.
When I type a name in the Mail.app new email "To" field it will not read my contacts. The processing lined circle spins over on the right but never does anything. I looked in my contacts app and everything is fine. If I go into the mail.app and go to window->address panel it is empty. I am not using iCloud for contacts on any of my devices.
I tried searching a contact name from spotlight and it shows up under contacts... but hey, like i said, all my contacts are available in the contacts app.

Thunderbird does not have this problem, nor does Postbox. Both are now listed under security settings as having address book access. Mail.app is not listed as having access and there's not an option to add it.

  • N96 Memory near empty but system says its full

My Nokia N96 has been sent back for the third time from repair. It has had new software/firmware etc. but after I synchronised (600+ contacts and calendar) it it keeps warning C: memory is full. I have browsed the memory via the phone and PC Suite but can't find any files or folders there that are more than few kilobytes. Anyone out there with any ideas please?
    Thanks

Last shot is the full reset
    1. Switch off the phone.
    2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
    3. While holding these buttons, hold the power button for a second to switch on the phone.
    4. Release when the phone shows the nokia hands logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.
It may take a few attempts and very flexible fingers.
This will completly reset the phone
Anything clogging up the c drive should be removed
Try it then check the status when the phone recovers
