My footage becomes blurry when i add the keyer
Whenever I use the chroma keyer, my footage goes blurry. It takes out the background brilliantly but the actual subject becomes blurry. Even after rendering. Anyone know what i'm doing wrong.

Do you import to Final Cut, edit, then export using Motion 5? Or, do you import to Motion 5 directly from DV, then open in FCP?
I don't own Motion 5 yet - so I'm not familiar with it's capabilities.
I have the exact same issue - it's not dependent on project settings, or any Keyer adjustments that I've attempted.

then it works when i view it in HTML VIEWR.

this is due to the sap integration kit which does not support pass-through html. webelements require pass-through html in order to show up as html.
here's what you can try though:
1) install the latest sap integration kit on your boe system machine(s)
2) if the above does not solve the issue follow the steps at the bottom of [this thread|WebElements: HTML not rendering when using Bex Query as Source]
3) if 2 above doesn't work then see [this thread |Re: WebElements only show HTML tags (even after following WebElement guides)]as a last resort
hopefully step 1 & step 2 will solve the issue.

i created a new itunes, but when i add the music i added it from my external hard drive by accident, so when i disconnect it and wish to play music without having it connected, obviously it asks me to located my songs, i dont want to locate each song and i dont want to have to add all my music again, is there anyway of changing the location to a new folder all at once? for example, if it is my computer/harddrive/music/.... can i change it to mydocuments/musis/...
and having the exact same music folder so all the further directions are accurate?

I cannot import my AVCHD files by using log and transfer. I can see all the files, but when I add the file to import que it doesnt work, the status is a red and says that its no data. I have tried with different cards and different cardreaders, but it is still the same. Why?!

What make/model camcorder are you using?
Are you absolutely certain this is AVCHD video? Tell us more about the video settings you used in the camcorder (eg, frame size, frame rate, quality level)
Why are you attempting Log & Transfer from a card reader instead of from your camcorder? Have you tried doing Log & Transfer from your camcorder?
Are the SD cards straight from the camcorder, unaltered, or are you just using the cards as storage?
Are you using FCE 4.0 or FCE 4.0.1? -
But when I add the clip, it's saying that the clip is at 30fps? Am I doing something wrong?
Let me tell you this: don't worry about it.
No one is able to tell very easily if the video is in 24 or 30 fps. You can only see the difference between, like, 14 and 24 fps. Just dismiss it and move on. It's all fine.
(the only time that I personally need to make sure my camera is shooting at it's highest fps, is when I will be putting the vidoe into slow motion.) -
Footage becoming grainy when added to Timeline
Newbie here.
I recently switched cameras from a Sony handycam to a Nikon 5D100.
Looking at the footage in the viewer it's crisp and clear, but when I put it on the timeline it becomes blurry and grainy.
I converted the footage from a .mov to .mp4 thinking FCE didn't like the Nikon 5D100 format, but I'm having this issue with both formats.
Any suggestions?The reason the video becomes blurry is that your source media (from the camera) does not match your FCE sequence settings (easy setup). FCE is designed only for certain video codecs, specifically QuickTime/DV and QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec.
When you capture video directly from a camcorder, FCE can ingest DV, AVCHD and HDV video. DV video is directly imported into QT/DV clips; but in the high-def (AVCHD/HDV) capture process, FCE converts AVCHD and HDV video to QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec (QT/AIC).
If you don't capture directly from a camcorder you have to make sure your video clips conform to QT/DV or QT/AIC before using them in Final Cut Express.
The D5100 records video as H.264 but it's NOT AVCHD. You need to convert these clips to QuickTime/Apple Intermediate Codec before importing them into FCE. Use either MPEG Streamclip or Clipwrap to convert the video.
In FCE you need to use one of the AVCHD Easy Setups that matches how you shot the video in your DSLR, for example 1920x1080i30. (Note that FCE does not support 24fps, and the only mode in which it supports progressive video is 720p) -
DVD menu becomes blurry when viewed on a computer screen, help!?
When I create a DVD menu in "DVD PRO" it looks great until the DVD is burned and I try to play it on my Mac, then I notice while it is at full monitor screen size the background image becomes very blurry, when I put it at 100% the screen is very tiny, is there a way to make the screen larger or make the background image more clear when it is blown to that screen size? Any info you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.
I'm reading your post again . . . more carefully (sorry!). When you see with DVD Player at 100% , do you see your menus fine?
Playing at 100 your seeing at the original graphic files size: 720x480 (I guess you are working NTSC). Depending on your monitor resolution, you probably are stretching more than twice when looking at full screen.
Did you tried playing the DVD in a player on TV?
You can get here some advices about how to het better menu quality but must post some information about how you built them first.

How can I keep the old version of iMovie when I add the new version?
In the past, when I new version of iMovie came out, I kept the old working version by puttting it inito a folder, and labeled it 'Old iMovie', or some such. When I installed the new version, it didn't recognize that folder, and left the old version alone. That way, if there were bugs/problems with the new version, I could always revert to the "old" version, without probems.
Would that still work?

PS: How is the new version working?You don't need to move anything around. Apple has anticipated that some people may prefer to use the old version along with the new one, so when you update to iMovie 10, a script runs that puts your iMovie 9 into a folder inside your Applications folder:
/Applications/iMovie 9.0.9
People are having a lot of problems with the new version. You can look through this forum to find out what they are, and see if there are workarounds.
I updated to 10, updated all my Projects and Events, and began using it; but after about 10 days decided to go back to 9. I'll try 10 again when Apple releases an update to fix the problems and add back some of the features they stripped out. -
Photos become blurry when saved on safari
Hi,
I am using the 32GB iTouch, and whenever I use Safari and find an image I want to save, it usually is blurred and very low quality. Almost like it saved a thumbnail instead of the full resolution image.
On a rare occasion, the photo might come out clear and in full resolution, while many don't.
I was unsure why the photos saved from Safari are low quality thumbs, was it meant to be this way? is there any way to make the itouch save the full resolution image, rather then a thumbnail of the image?
Thanks.Firstly it doesn't matter what size the image is, even if it's the standard ipod touch screen size, it will still display blurry. It's a bug. This is a pathetic limitation and should be an embarrassment to the company.
Secondly, the issue happens even when you've saved the image from Mail. That being said, if you were to open up Twinkle, and share this blurry photo with the world, they will see it as clear and perfect as all getup. Then if you go and look at your photo in Twinkle you will see that the image is clear, and yet still blurred in your photo container on the ipod.
You're trying to tell me that this thing that can support running 3d applications and games is so inferior that it can't display a image without time traveling back to 1988?
Give me a break, Apple better fix this. It makes them look cheap.

Photos become blurry when imported to FCP X from iPhoto
I'm using FCP X. I have imported 18 high quality photos from iPhoto into my timeline. When I play my sequence the photos appear blurry.
Do you have an orange render bar? If you do, Control-R will render selected clips and Shft+Control R will render all.

Pixel art becomes blurry when imported
I have got into game development and have started to try out pixel art.
I created a character with 10 or so layers, arms, legs, heads etc. Then i saved it as a psd.
I imported the psd file and it look perfect, i moved it into the correct place then clicked the tick button at the top to confirm it.
Then character then went all blurry, please help!
btw, i am a programmer, not an artist.

After:I need to have all the layers to animate it, in the end i just enlarged the background of the character file and am now using that.
I think one way to fix it would have to changed the interpolation to nearest neighbour, i do this when rotating it. -

The 'Not a valid presenter' message is most likely due to you not have the rights to author content to Harvard's e-learning system, but without knowing if the URL is for a Connect account or some other e-learning platform, it's hard to give any useful insight. -
