My_Form is taking 3 min. for rendering on browser!!

Hello
Previously our users has IE10, then 4 pages my_form used to take just 10 seconds for rendering.
2 days ago they got installed IE10 in their machines, now the same form is taking 3 min.!!!
Pls. help us how can we fix this?
Thank you

Thank you.
Actually, we have another Z WDA, wherein we hv just one view w/ just couple of dorp downs, inoput fields, thats all, seems, its also taking too much time, hence I am guessing its not related to adobe, the webdynpro itself taking too much time!!
In DEV, QA as developers we are accessing / testing the WDA from SE80, its fine here, but in PRD users are running the WDA from Portal, here in PRD its damm slow
So, do you see any link between IE10, WDA, Portal?
I mean, looks adobe is ok

Desktop: Mac Mini dual-core i5 (or quad i7 if you can afford it, it might seem overpowered but it will last you longer. Upgrade to 16GB RAM if you want to future proof that side of the machine. Don't buy from Apple, install it yourself).
Laptop: MacBook Pro 13' if you don't need portability, or MacBook Air 11' if you do (as RRFS has said).
A notebook and a laptop are the same thing.

  • How to return a html repsonse after form guide rendering in browser?

How to return a html repsonse after form guide rendering in browser indicating that server has recieved transmission and request is submitted succesfuly?
I am rendering the form guide in browser using guide invoke service and when i submit the data in browser to server through guide , it is displaying some random number in browser?
i need to display a resposne that request is submitted successfully?

how could i define a variable with "html data" ?
Create a variable of type document and then a service to read the html from where ever it's located. If you put it in LiveCycle, you can use the ReadRessource service. If it's on the file system, you can use the Read Document. If it's in the database, you can use the JDBC service.
Also, one more doubt where should i use this variable in my process to get the same?
You want the response once you've submitted the data, so the html is really the result of calling the process that's processing the data. So I would create an output variable of type document on that process.
Right now it displays a random number in the browser because your submit process is long lived. When a process is long lived (asynchronous), you invoke it and then you get an identifier back. It's kind of a fire and forget. You can use that identifier to check the status of the long lived process, since long lived processes can take hours, days to complete. You don't want your browser to wait that long, hence the identifier.
However if you change the process to be short lived (synchronous), the browser will wait for the result of the process, which really means the output variables for that process. If your output variable contains html, it'll display html.
So the key is make you submit process short lived and populate the output variables appropriately.

  • Mac mini for video / music production

    hello!
i'm really into music and video, i currently do all my video work in premiere pro on the pc, and music is done in a combination of packages like reason, soundforge, etc.
i'm really tempted by the offer of a mac mini for a few hundred pounds complete with garageband, imovie, etc. plus i can always get final cut on there too.
I am serious about what i do and would want high quality results. what i'm asking is basically, consdiering the specs of the mac mini, (i'd have to go for the top of the range to get the dvd writer) will it be capable of performing well with video work and more importantly, will garageband let me do professional sounding sequencing and mixing?
or am i kidding myself that the mini is capable? because if the option is buying a G5, i'll use the cash to upgrade my windows pc instead. it's all about tools for the job for me, i've got no brand loyalty.
thanks for any advice / opinions!!
    -the swan

There's no doubt that the mini CAN do what you want - it outperforms many Mac systems that have been sucessfully doing pro-level video and audio work for years. On the video side the system is very capable, and whether in iMovie or Final Cut, professional results are achievable. Indeed, being digital, there's no practical way to tell from the rsult whether it came off a mini or an old G3 iMac or a brand new G5 tower. The mini's only drawback is that rendering takes time. Less time than older systems, and more time than a G5 would. Some rendering (such as transitions or effects in iMovie) run in the background and don't prevent continuing work.
On the audio side, I'll leave that to people who have a better knowledge of the application than I do as a rather 8th-rate amateur!
As for the model you should buy, I would suggest NOT the $699 version with superdrive. I'd suggest you buy the $599 model, replace the 512Mb RAM with a 1Gb stick, and add an external burner. That way you would be getting enough memory to give the mini a solid performance in video work, and giving yourself the choice of DVD burner which not only would include possible dual layer devices (the superdrive is single) but also better burn speeds.

  • Help setting up ipad minis for our two kids.

We purchased ipad minis for my two kids this Christmas (ages 6 & 8).  I have been working on setting them up so they are ready to use.  I created gmail accounts and Apple ID accounts to use for messaging and FaceTime only.  I put restrictions so they can not use email, Facebook, Twitter, Safari, etc.  I plan on using a kid friendly browsing such as Mobicip.  The part I am getting hung up is being able to put certain things on their iPads from my wife's iTunes account.  We have decided to use her account to sync with their new iPads.  Obviously, the kids will not have access to her password on iTunes.  She has very few game apps on her ipad.  I would like to add fun appropriate kid games to her iTunes account to sync to their iPads, but not my wife's.  The same thing with iBooks and music.  Some of my wife's books are not kid appropriate.  I know you can create playlists to share music.  What is the best way to go about setting up iTunes?  Any other things I am forgetting to keep inappropriate material from curious kids.
    Thanks.

  • 16 GB ipad mini for college

    Hello,
I'm considering getting a 16 GB ipad mini for college this year. My question is, would 16GB be enough? I plan on using the ipad mostly for note taking. Thanks!

    Hi,
Because you'll be in college, I suggest you get as much space as is possible!!!
The thing is, many, many people, once they start using an ipad and learn all they can use it for, end up needing more storage space on their ipads. And you cannot increase space. So go for the most you can afford.
Our younger son is in college. He got a 64 gb, only thought he'd need only a  32 gb, and he's used more than the 32 gb in a matter of months. He can store text books, documents, etc., financial newspapers (required for classes) and more movies and music than he thought he'd need. (Videos will take up space quickly.) So he's very happy he got the 64 gb. And you actually start out with less than 16 gb because some space is used up by apps and programs that come pre-installed and are necessary for your ipad mini to work.
If the cost is a strong consideration for you, take a look in the Apple Refurb store on Apple's website.Last year we bought two refurbished ipads from the Apple Refurb store on the Apple website. They are great!
They come with new covers (front and back,)  a brand new battery, and a full one year warranty. Now with Apple care + ($99.00) you can get more coverage that will also cover accidental damage like broken glass and wet ipads (3 incidents of damage.) I think it's well worth it. PLEASE do not buy a refurb anywhere else!
If you planned on buying a new 16 gb mini, it costs $279.00 In the refurb store. The refurbished 32 gb mini is $359.00 - twice the space and only $30.00 more than you planned to spend on a new 16 gb. A refurbed 64 gb will cost $110.00 more than a new 16 gb - four times as much space. They are only sold via the website and come in a brand new box.
So if I were you, I'd go for the certified refurbished ipad from the Apple website. Please note that the different colors and sizes come and go in the refurb store, so when you see what you want, act on it. Delivery is fast.
    Hope this helps.

  • New Mini for the living room

Ive been seriously considering buying another Mini for my living room. I have a spare LCD, and I have a new Pro keyboard and mighty mouse on the way so my current mouse and keyboard can be reused for the new system. Basically I'm looking at getting a similar Mini to what i have now just with wireless so I can setup a network. I haven't done that before, seeing the network interface in OSX it doesnt seem too tough to setup. Anything else I should consider? Should I just wait for the intel stuff to come out? I think even if the intel stuff comes out soon I would probably just buy the same thing hoping there is some kind of closeout sale, because my current Mini has been great to me so far and Im just looking for something stable for browsing and productivity stuff.

    BBlades-
My mantra is basically buy what you want when you need it. No matter what you buy today, then "next best thing" is always right around the corner waiting. Those intel babies may be right around the corner, and then again, they might not.
I recently purchased a refurbished mini to use in my Living Room for the same purposes as you described. It has been on 24/7 for over a month and has had absolutely no problems.
It does take a bit of work to set up wireless. If you use the Apple Airport products the process is even easier. You can always find a trmendous amount of help in these discussion boards.
    Good Luck!

  • Which Mini for Aperture?

I am looking to purchase a Mini, and could use some guidance on which model to choose. Aside from the typical usage, I rely on Aperture, InDesign, and Photoshop. Not much in the way of gaming or video production. Does the discrete GPU have a significant impact on these types of uses, or am I better off going low end and upgrading to a faster hard drive and more RAM? Are there others out there running these apps on either machine?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi!
I have a Mac mini 2,3 Ghz i5 (since a week) with 2GB memeory and I use Apperture, Canon Digital Photo Professional and sometimes Photoshop Elements 9. I use no further plugins.
The mini is connected via HDMI to a 1080p capable TV screen LG
and used as well as a media center (iTunes and playing TV-shows in DivX-format that I stream with Firefox).
    Here my experience:
    - Processor is ok - It hardly ever goes up above 100% (i.e. fills one of 4 cores) when using Aperture
         - editing by applying brushes is quite nice compared to my old setup.
         - nevertheless there are glitches like the cursor -frame is not shown or you see negative colours outside the edited areas.
    - Memory and Swap: that is where the issue is:
         - All those 64-bit apps eat memory like fresh bread:
                   - Apperture easyly goes up to 1,5GB - if you run it in 32-bit it is satisfied with 800MB
                   - the Lion itself leaves only 1GB free memory when started
                   - Photoshop used 600 MB two times
                   - as a result I always end with swap between 1,5GB and 2,9GB
                   - I use Aperture only in 32bit mode (otherwise the whole computer is too slow for even web-browsing or e-mail)
         - My next step will be to buy a 8GB memory upgrade.
         - It would be better to have a separate disk for the swap and one for the data. As you have Firewire 800 it is not a big issue to connect a quick disk that contains the data library. Reading of the library from the internal disk is seldom quicker than 2MB/s. Clearly the swap and the reading of media library is colliding
         - Well SSD ... I have no experience if that brings so much more in this particular case.
    Summary:
         - Mac mini 2,3Ghz i5 2GB
         - buy a non-Apple 8GB memory
         - nice RAID1 disk via Firewire 800
    I hope this helps

  • Mac minis for a cluster

    Hi,
I am deliberating on purchasing new equipment for rendering large movies (about 80GB). I'd like to use compressor/qmaster to do this. I am curious to find out what would be a better (faster rendering) setup for this purpose. Let's say one of the multiple core Mac Pros and a iMac (core duo 3.06) or let's say 3 or brand new Mac mini's with an iMac (core duo 3.06)
Thank you for any help you can provide

As far as speed is concerned, look at the number of cores each option has...
Purchasing an 8 core Mac Pro(which has hyperthreading, giving you 2 virtual cores per physical core... So you actually realize 16 cores...) with I would say at least 6-8 gigs of RAM will run you around $4500 and in my opinion the stability of the Mac Pro is much higher than that of a Mac Mini...
So to match that performance so to speak with mac minis, you would have to buy 8 mac minis, at $700 each... , have at least a 16 port Gig-E switch, and be purchasing a ton of extra hard drive space/setting up a central networked storage server of some kind to hold the files while each of the mini's work on it, ... I have a long list of things I could continue with, but lets just go with the price alone...
    1 Mac pro : 16 Cores : $4500
8 Mac Minis : 16 Cores : $5600 (Plus cost of switches, cables, time to network and trouble shoot.. you will have to trouble shoot.. I promise setup... I think you get the point...
I think it's an obvious winner there -
    Cheers
    Kyle

  • Anyone use a 2012 mac mini for final cut pro x?

I am considering buying a 2012 quad core mini to use for Final Cut pro X.  I've looked everywhere on the web, and can't really find an answer as to whether or not this is a good idea.  The main reason I'd do this over a 2011 refurbished iMac is for the USB 3.0 ports.  I'm currently using a 2010 mid-level iMac, and find that I need to use proxies if I do anything multi-cam.  I do know that buying the mini, thunderbolt display, and mouse/keyboard costs about as much as buying a new 27" iMac.  Would the ivy bridge mini be faster than the 2011 refurbished quad core iMac for rendering and exporting, or slower because of the intel 4000 graphic chip?
    Thanks

OK...here's an interesting tidbit...320M is supported by OpenCL according to The Oracle, aka Wikipedia
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenCL
However, a look at the official Apple Snow Leopard docs suggests that they withdrew support for 320M.

  • Using a Mac Mini for DSP

    Hello!
I am wondering how many users are there out there using a Mac Mini for DSP to allow for more processing power.
wondering what types of experiences people have had out there/how well the machines work together. and if you would or would not recommend doing so
i would assume that it would help out with all of the processing and makes things sound better in the end?

I don't do it on a regular basis, but I tested out using an intel mini as a node on a G5, and it worked fine. Probably added about an additional 25% of what the quad could do (so if the quad did 100 of a plugin, the mini added 25 more).
