I need to delete the Icloud account but it prompts that all data will be removed, does that also mean photos?
I have saved all the pictures on my computer and I was trying to save it to my itunes, can I do that through my laptop? I'm kinda new at all this, I've always had android. :/

My sister gave me her old iPhone that she bought in UK, she she it here in the Philippines and i'm having problems because i can't use it. i already restored it to set it up new but i couldn't still activate it. It says, " Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached." and "The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information."
what should i do for me to be able to use it?

My daughter gave me her old iPhone 3G. I started loading my own info before doing a complete "Reset". My iMac at home now give me a message that it is time to Sync 432 Contacts. They happen to be my daughters contacts. The window has no Cancel or Delete option. How do I get rid of or stop the Sync other than let it go and then start deleting them? Help! Ron
or... put your photos in "My Pictures" in My Documents, and viola, itunes syncs it to the iphone. only one sentence needed =/

I did change to my own cell number (with AT&T).
I am not sure whether I restored and activated under MY name/Apple ID. (Out of convenience I have probably maintained HER Apple ID since I know the password.)
When I text people her name shows up and people don't realize it is me. (I don't know what appears with phone use.)

Friend gave me her old ipod and need to know how to make it mine
A friend of mine bought her daughter the new video ipod for xmas and she graciously gave me her old one. Anyway, when i plug it in to my pc her folders and info come up. How do i transfer it to me? Is it as simple as a reset?

hp Windows XPOkay so this is what can be done for you....
First go to itunes then Edit --> Preference --> Advanced --> and check off copy music to itunes music folder when adding songs to library.
Now connect the ipod to the computer (if this a new computer and the ipod has never been connected to it, you'll get a box asking you to link the libraries, Say NO)
In itunes select file then 'add folder to library' and highlight the ipod in My Computer. Then select ok. The music should start updating into itunes.
When the update is complete, remember to go back into the preference window and uncheck 'copy music to itunes music folder when adding songs to library' -

Hi my friend gave me his iphone 1 today and its stuck at the apple boot logo. Some times it automatically shuts off but about a second later is comes back on. The home button and the power button seem to not be responsive. Thanks for the help.
You bought a used iPhone. Amazon is not an authorized supplier of iPhones, nor are any of the 3rd parties that sell iPhones there.
You can make an appointment at the genius bar and have it looked at.
If you are very very lucky, it is still under warranty and it wasn't opened or otherwise tampered with before you bought it. In which case, Apple will replace it under warranty.
If it's not under warranty, they will replace it for $199.
If it has been opened or tampered with, they won't touch it. -

I basically got this phone about 2 weeks ago and i cannot download or update anything . I would mind it asking for my sisters apple password but she doesn't know it so how do i take it off ? Any apps that she downloaded onto the device are tied to her apple ID. They cannot be transferred to another account. To update those apps, you would either need her password, or you could delete the apps and download them using your own apple id.

If you see one of following alerts, you need to erase the device:
"iTunes could not connect to the [device] because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the [device] before it can be used with iTunes."

If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.
Alternatively, place the device in recovery mode and restore it to erase the device:
Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to shut down.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then restore the device. -

Don't try to change the songs. Connect the iPod, click on the name of it, go to the Summary page and Restore it as a new device.

I believe when you plug her old iPhone in to your computer it will notify you that the phone is synced with another library and ask if you want to register it with your library. At least this is how iPods work. I'm not sure about iPhones. If you want to actually use the phone as your own you may need to go through AT&T.
If you're just looking to use the iPhone as an iPod (without the phone portion of it) you may run in to some problems. The iPhone really wants to be on a cell network all the time. I think you'd have to jailbreak it to get it to work properly as an iPod.
Let us know what happens when you plug the phone in to your computer.
