My friend's iPhone5's screen cracks while charging

My friend has an iPhone5 and the screen cracks while charging, after the crack the home button totally broke down. She took the phone to the carrier and they told my friend that this case is off warranty and she needs to pay for it!!! the phone itself didn't have a single scratch!!! Can anyone help me please? Thank you.

Or any international customer service email that I could send to?

Why did my screen crack while charging? It hasn't been dropped, every time I charge it a new crack appears I'm tired of this it's only a year old! If its not covered under warranty never again will I go apple I've had nothing but issues so far.

We can't answer that. Maybe the battery is bad and is swelling inside the phone. Maybe someone else dropped it and didn't tell you about it.
Make an appointment at the genius bar and see what they say.
If it's over a year old, then it's not covered under warranty.

  • Screen off while charging?

I seem to recall a settig where you have your Incredible screen off while charging....but I cannot find it again.  Is there such a setting,or am I confusing it with something else?  If there is this setting, how can I access it?

  • Touch screen unresponsive while charging

The touch screen on my iPod touch 5 can be sluggish or unresponsive. I've isolated the problem to when I've got it plugged in to charge and the charge is complete but I've not unplugged it. I'm using apple charge cord. Has anyone else had this problem? Obviously when the problem occurs now, I unplugged the iPod. Just wondering if it points to some larger problem I need to have Apple look into.

Other users have reported the same problem and I made the following suggestions but they nevery posted back:
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Try another cable
    - Try another charging source
    - Restore from backup. See:

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • MBP 17" Screen Flicker While Charging

How disappointing is it to discover a flaw in a brand new product?
Anyway, I'm sitting here using my new MBP 17" which arrived early this morning.
I had used the battery up a bit earlier today, and am currently charging the laptop. The screen brightness is set to it's lowest visible brightness (one more down and the screen goes black).
I am experiencing a slight and intermittent flickering of the screen. At first I thought it was just in my head... Oh yeah, there are no fluorescent lights around me.
Anyway, on a whim I unplugged the power cord and the flickering immediately stopped. Plugged it back in and it started up in a minute.
By the time I finished this post the flickering stopped. What's goin on??

We have probably deployed about 200 of the 15" MacBook Pro systems so far, and have only seen the issue on a handful of them. Fortunately the issue was discovered when the systems were imaged and had not yet been deployed. If you are having the issue, I would recommend that you report it to Apple.
Some people online were reporting that installing the NVIDIA Graphics Update 2009 (http://support.apple.com/downloads/NVIDIAGraphics_Update2009) would fix this problem. The update however was only available online briefly and then was pulled without explanation.
I really don't see how this would help though as we are not seeing the issue with all systems we are receiving. I figured there must have been a bad batch of 9400's that made it to production. It is really concerning if people are seeing the same thing on the new 17" models as well.

  • Screen Cracked on hold with Apple!

After trying to call Apple about my iPhone not working on the top half and struggling with it the screen cracked, while on the phone with Apple.
Been doing some research and found some interesting things here about this seemingly growing problem. Check out this page I found. Wondering what the thoughts are?
    http://www.billiardinstruction.com/iPhone.htm
My screen doesn't look this bad however, the research here certainly is something to think about.

Your iPhone screen didn't randomly crack while you were on the iPhone or on hold with AppleCare so for others - here is the rest of the story copied from one of your posts in another thread.
+Everything was great, call went through and as I was waiting on hold, I was able to hit Speaker. *Then the phone still connected to the computer _slipped off the table and hit the floor 2 feet up,_ Guess what...I lost the connection to Apple and...the screen cracked.* I have no cell service.+
This isn't some "growing" problem but the screen is glass and if the iPhone lands in a certain way when dropped, the screen can crack as with any glass product. I've dropped drinking glasses on hard floor that didn't crack and others slipped off a coffee table on carpeted floor that did.
I've dropped my iPhone on concrete more than once and my iPhone's screen did not crack.

  • How to leave screen on while on the dock.

    Hi,
I would like to leave the screen on while charging on the dock.
    Is there anyway ?
    Thanks

    Page 108 iphone manual:
    "Auto-Lock
Locking iPhone turns off the display to save your battery and to prevent unintended
operation of iPhone. You can still receive calls and text messages, and you can adjust
the volume and use the mic button on the iPhone stereo headset when listening to
    music or on a call.
Set the amount of time before iPhone locks: Choose General > Auto-Lock and
    choose a time. "

Connect to iTunes and restore. If you have difficulty, you may have to put the device into Recovery Mode. See the instructions in this support document. If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

  • MacBook Pro Retina screen cracked on it own while I was watching youtube.

I purchased it on April 2014 from Executive Machines Dhaka, Gulshan Branch. Everything was working fine until 23 feb 2015. While me and my family were watching a youtube video on it, the screen started to crack from upper left side of the side. we all watched how the screen cracked from left to middle to the right.
We all were in shock! In my entire life I have never seen such things. A screen cracked by it self!!! Anyway after that not the 24 feb, I went to dealer as I had free service of one year left. The guys at Executive Machines were shocked as well and said they never seen such things before and they will send the Mac to Singapore to get it checked. So did the paper work and left it with them. 3 weeks later, they notified me that Apple said NO!!
So the fact here is, I didn't drop it nor damaged it in other means. 5 people in the house watched the whole thing live!!! If it was done me then there must have been damage marks, when I mac is fully fresh!!!! the saddest thing when I collected the Mac from Executive machines the screen started having black marks on the upper and lower side of the screen.
This is the most shocking thing that ever happened in Tech using history and I keep wondering who's fault was it!!! Executive Machines received a mac with a mark on the screen and returned me with black marks and ''they said''  Apple said NO!!
I tried to upload photos from 23 feb but something was wrong!!
It would very nice If anybody from Apple contacts me and we can talk about the whole thing.

Apple only may, because it was jailbroken, exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours. Contact Apple to see.

  • I just got an iPod touch 5th generation back in November and while I was out in my garage trying to find something on a shelf while standing on a stool, I dropped my iPod touch the screen cracked a bit- anyone know repair prices from Apple?

So I dropped it... And the screen cracked a bit. It's fairly new (got it in November) but I noticed Apple doesn't cover accidents like mine. Anyone know the prices for getting a replacement/ repair? It's not that bad of a crack, but it's annoying and new so..Yah. Any help with prices for a replacement/warranty would be helpful and on how I should do it. Maybe I can get a replacement for cheap or free cuz I got it recently and I've never complained to Apple before? I know it's my mistake but I'd be thankful if you guys could help! Thanks!

Sorry, but the warranty does not cover accidental damage no matter how recently you got your iPod. As to servicing, Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/faq/
There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". It is also possible to purchase parts and find instructions on doing a repair yourself, though it's not particularly easy. Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop or perform a repair yourself, all further support from Apple will be void.
    Regards.

  • Iphone5 screen freezes while checking messages

I have a problem with my iphone 5; it's quite common that the screen freezes while i'm checking my text messages... It doesn't stay that way very long, just a couple of seconds (like 10 sec maybe)... And then it goes back to normal...
It perfectly works with other apps though... Has anyone had that problem before? Do you know what should be done? Should i take my phone to the Apple store?
    thanks !

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps...  Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup...  Restore as New...
If you try all these Steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...
Be sure to make an appointment first...
