Have you tried restoring the iPod through iTunes? Just remember that if you do this, that it will wipe all the music and data from iPod so make sure it is backed up on your computer. Step-by-step instructions can be found in the Apple document below.

30GB wont accept songs/videos, unknown error (-69)

ok so i recently have had this problem w/ my iPod; It will load some songs but then it'll make a weird noise, and then i get the unknown error (-69). I was reading some forums and people said it may be the song(s). I uploaded the same exact songs to my mom's nano w/o any problems. My iPod wont accept any movies; it shows it transferring, gets maybe about 1/2way through, then same error code pops up. I am totally lost what to do so any help will be appreciated.

I am also having the same problem. When i try to sync it will sing for so long then give me that message. I tried using that atricle and it didn't help at all. I tried doing what they said in the article but it was bs because I restored the ipod a couple times in the process of trying to get it to work and sometimes it would sync a song sometimes it would stop at it or before it, so it doesn't make sense. Also, all the songs in my library were on my ipod before, so thats probably a pretty good sign none of them are corrupt. This is driving me crazy! Someone please help.

Where exactly did you get this message? Are you trying to set up iCloud, iTunes & App Stores, just an email account?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

My newlly restored Ipod wont let me enter the wifi password in order to use the wifi. When you go to the wifi tab, it wont let you click on it and looks white. IPod wont turn on or update after iTunes 7, please help

It's a 2004, 20gb iPod with click-wheel. A friend gave it to me, if I can try to repair it. Apparently it died after installing iTunes 7. The iPod wont turn on or respond to anything. The only time it does is when its connected to a computer. At first iTunes reported that the iPod is corrupted and needs to be restarted. And when it turns on, theres an icon with an exclamation mark and an URL pointing me to Apple's support. At first i tried with various older firmware files and I got the messega that there was an error formatting the ipod. iTunes 7 gave a 1418 or 1429 error at the end of the updating process.
I tried with resetting it, putting it in the disk mode and then erasing and/or partitioning it with Disk utility and it was always the same. I tried unplugging all the other devices when updating, just like recommended. Again nothing worked.
Here comes the peculiar part:
Then I did a complete erase, writting zeros over the whole disk in Disk utility. It took ages and then finally stopped with an error just before finishing. After that I can update my iPod just fine with iTunes 7, I can even name it again and start adding songs(it takes forever for just one song). Even older updaters say its fine. But after unplugging it from the computer its still dead and it still displays the error icon. All that got me so confused.
I find it hard to believe that a hardware error suddenly appeared just after installing iTunes 7 and I am really hoping for any help I could get because I dont want to give up on it just yet. Thanks.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I started using my iPod yesterday and it was working fine... Now my ipod wont turn on, it doesnt give any light signal even if its connected to the PC , and unlocked... But its not my PC's problem, cause my friend's ipod works very nice in my PC... So... What's wrong? :S

If this doesn't work and your still under warranty I would suggest sending it in
for replacement.
You said all your music disappeared before connecting to your computer so I don't think the problem is there. The fact that it doesn't turn on at all may just be a symptom of a depleted battery or your iPod simply died.

I just got an ipod touch for Xmas yesterday. I want to download some free apps from the Istore. When i register it just wont accept my payment information. Its 100% correct and i have now inserted the info 10 times. Im quite frustrated. Why wont it accept it?
Im currently in Germany and the ipod was bought in Germany but my bank account details are from a UK bank as i am a student over there. any help i would be greatful ! Merry Xmas !
