My friends computer is set to my ipod.

I let my friend borrow my ipod and put songs from his computer onto my ipod mini. Now it keeps saying i have to restore the ipod back to factory settings but i don't know how to do that. Last time i tried i deleted all the songs off of my account. Does anyone know what to do?

You can only copy music TO your iPod not FROM your iPod. This is a feature that is built into the iPod to prevent people taking music they haven't paid for.

I have an ipod and an itunes account. My friend recently received an ipod, but her computer is dead and will not be getting a new one for a while. Can she use my computer to set up a SEPERATE itunes? Set up a new Windows User account on your PC for your friend. Different accounts by definition would give you completely separate libraries. Each account has it's own iTunes folder, Library and iTunes Music folder and you load it with CDs etc just as you did with your original one. The iPod can be set to update however the owner chooses, sync all, manual or sync specific playlists

Sure-glad to help you. You will not lose any data by changing synching to MacBook Pro from imac. You have set up Time Machine, right? that's how you'd do your backup, so I was told, and how I do my backup on my mac. You should be able to set a password for it. Save it. Your stuff should be saved there. So if you want to make your MacBook Pro your primary computer, I suppose, back up your stuff with Time machine, turn off Time machine on the iMac, turn it on on the new MacBook Pro, select the hard drive in your Time Capsule, enter your password, and do a backup from there. It might work, and it might take a while, but it should go. As for clogging the hard drive, I can't say. Depends how much stuff you have, and the hard drive's capacity. As for moving syncing from your iMac to your macbook pro, should be the same. Your phone uses iTunes to sync and so that data should be in the cloud. You can move your iTunes Library to your new Macbook pro

don't forget to de-authorize your iMac if you don't want to play purchased stuff there
and re-authorize your new macBook Pro
time machine is an application, and should be found in the Applications folder. it is built in to OS X, so there is nothing else to buy. double click on it, get it going, choose the Hard drive in your Time capsule/Airport as your backup Time Machine and go for it. You should see a circle with an arrow on the top right hand of your screen (the Desktop), next to the bluetooth icon, and just after the wifi and eject key (looks sorta like a clock face). This will do automatic backups of your stuff.

If I understand correctly you want all 6 devices to have access to a single calendar that each device gets notifications for and can edit. You can do that with an private iCloud shared calendar. First sign into www.icloud.com and use these steps from the following article to share a calendar:
iCloud: Share a calendar with others
Share a calendar privately
Click the Share button to the right of the calendar name in the sidebar, then select Private Calendar.
Note: You can also share the same calendar publicly. For instructions, see the next task, “Share a calendar publicly.”
Type the invitee’s email address in the Add Person field and press Return.
Click the pop-up menu with the invitee’s name and choose access privileges (View & Edit or View Only).
For each person you want to share the calendar with, repeat steps 2 and 3.
When you’ve invited everyone and set their privileges, click OK.
Invitation emails are sent from your iCloud email address to the participants you specified.

My computer crashed so we got a mac, i get alot of songs cds so not all of my songs are coming off my ipod on to my new computer.
So i have all my songs on my ipod and i can have it pop-up in itunes but i have to drag all the music i get off cds that go into itunes onto my ipod. How do i set up my ipod so it will be with my new mac?

As far as I know you need third party software unless you bought the music from iTunes, then it's easy.

Apple specifically did not enable ipod to computer transfer so as to prevent people from getting music from friends (which in the majority of cases is illegal).

yes you are allowed to connect to more than one pc...just simply install the software if they have no itunes...copy paste all your songs as a back-up in your ipods enable disk...and copy paste it again in your friends pc...mpeg4 or itunes song files does not play on windows media...happy holidays!

You have to put the iPod touch into the recovery mode.

Yes but it is then difficult to get the iPod to sync with your computer later. It can be done by backing up the iPod on the friend's computer and then moving the iPod backup file to your computer and transfering iTunes purchased to yur computer and then restore the iPod from that backup and syncing.
