My Function F7 is not working

I am trying to connect to a beam projector. It has worked for several months, the only thing I did this weekend was install an upgrade to Microsoft Office 2007.
How can I check my settings for Function F7 button?

Well, Try the Keyboard on another Computer. See if it works. If not, Replace the Keyboard.
If the Keyboard does work on the other computer, Then Check the USB Ports. See if any damage occurred because of pulling a USB Device out the Wrong Way (Like Sideways).
If the USB Ports are fine and Work, Then take your Macintosh to the Genius Bar.

I've been looking all over the various threads and I can't find an answer that solves my problem.
Here are the details:
I bought the computer in the U.S. where I live.
I have a iMac 2.4GHz intel Core 2 Duo EMC 2133 with a 20" screen. Bought it new in February 2008.
I have Mac OS X 10.5.8 (I am waiting for my order for OS Snow Leopard to come in!!)
I have been using a wireless mouse and Keyboard (Love not having cords!)
Recently, my wireless keyboard got a short and quit working. I went down to the apple store and got a new wireless keyboard.
I had the computer with me at the genius bar so, yes, the apple employee saw exactly what I have.
I took it all home got the thing all put back together and got the new keyboard paired up and working with the computer.
Here are the problems:
Went to go use the function keys while using iTunes and found they weren't working properly. The F10, F11 and F12 do not control the volume of sound as the keyboard indicates they would, they instead activate dashboard, spaces, and application windows.
Following the advice of other threads, I looked over in the system preferences and made sure the "Use all F1, F2 etc." box was unchecked (it was unchecked), things still didn't work.
I tried the fn key but it appears to not work at all it has no effect on the functioning of the function keys.
I went under keyboard shortcuts in system preferences and found the F10, F11 and F12 keys, it confirms that those keys control spaces, dashboard and application windows as they are performing but shows no options to either reassign to volume control (as marked on the keyboard) or make the fn key work.
I've gone back and forth trying various combinations of checked and unchecked boxes to see if anything would work, so far I've come up with nothing.
A couple more important or interesting facts:
Yes I have turned off and taken the batteries out of the old keyboard. My bluetooth connection currently shows it as disconnected.
I have restarted the computer.
One thing I find odd; when I go under preferences and go to Keyboard and Mouse when I go under the section "Bluetooth" it shows Bluetooth mouse with the name of the mouse and the battery level. BUT nothing is showing up under bluetooth Keyboard, I can't figure out how to change this and don't know if it is contributing to the problem.
When I go under the bluetooth logo on the top bar I find the mouse and both keyboards referenced, the old keyboard is shown as disconnected and the other two are connected. I have tried to update the device's name but it doesn't seem to let me.
I have double clicked on the device under bluetooth and it shows the new keyboard as discoverable, paired and connected. Hence, I am using the new keyboard to write this inquiry.
Please, any assistance would be of great help. I have tried to be thorough in order help narrow the possible problem. Thanks!!

Just thought I'd let you know. Our suspicions were correct, it was the OS. After I installed Snow Leopard (10.6.8) all the problems were corrected. I also updated the RAM from 1 gb to 6 gb. The mac is working all around better. Sorry it took so long to get back to everyone. My superdrive had pooped out. Rather than replace it I got an external drive from OWC connected with firewire 800. So far everything is running very well, as far as I can tell this external drive is better than the original superdrive. My superdrive has always acted funny, infact I returned the first mac I got after a week because its superdrive was also malfunctioning. Anyway, all that to say everything seems to be fully functioning again.

Hi all,
i have used one Function module 'PRICING' in user exit SAPMV45A to calculate pricing for sales order.
i am using BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE to change the sales order pricing.
        when i run the program in foreground, all condition records for pricing is updated correctly. but it is not updating
correctly when i run the program in background.
   Please tell me wheather 'PRICING' or 'BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE' function module is not working properly in background ?
   or any other reason?

Can you provide some more information as to the type of error you are getting? Or can you check the log entries and give some more information so that it would be possible to provide a solution.

Function keys do not work on new wireless keyboard

Hello....my good friend just bought a new iMac G5 2.1 spotlight model computer and has had troubles with his new wireless keyboard in that all 16 function keys do not work at all. Got any ideas or is it just a defective keyboard? He bought this at my recommendation so i am trying to make it all work smoothly for him. Would appreciate a quick response as he has now had this mac for 2 weeks and we cannot figure out the problem. Thanks in advance for any and all help

I have no issues using the Apple BT keyboard. All function keys that apply to the iPad work correctly; display brightness, iPod app control, etc.
Use the most recent version of iOS and also iTunes on your computer. Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo.
If that does not work, then restore the iPad to it factory settings.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? My Macbook Pro (bought in 2013) function keys are not working. The function keys ie the volume and brightness are not working at all both with one single tap and with the function button. I have checked the settings for the keyboard but nothing seems to stand out that is making the keys not work?

Some might suggest resetting the SMC, but I don't really think that will solve the problem. You can try, though.
I would suggest, since you're still under warranty, taking your machine to your local Apple Store/AASP and letting them fix the problem. It could be any sort of hardware problem. Only the Apple techs have the tools to properly diagnose and repair the machine.

Check Function Module is not working

I'm new in workflow and develop custom workflow for Transaction FB65 ( Vendor Credit Memo) and using business object FIPP , event CREATED.
Actually requirement is that when user click on park button in FB65 then should be trigger workflow only for particular vendor code .
Now my workflow is working fine for all vendor code.
For particular vendor code, I have created an new entries in SWE2 and assigning a check function module to that

Search function in Help not working in any application

The Search function is not working in any application's Help. Upon entering the terms I need help for I get a hang at "Searching..." but never any result. This problem started sometime in the last year or so. Prior to that the search function in Help worked fine. My network connectivity is excellent.
I recently reinstalled OS X 10.5 but I'm sure the problem existed before that and persisted after the reinstall.
The reinstall was due to upgrading to 10.7 and only then finding that I had lost needed functionality, but I don't think this has anything to do with the current problem. All other aspects of Help seem to be working fine
I don't find any reference to this problem anywhere so I'm hoping someone can help with my Help(!) problem. Thanks in advance.

Try running your Leopard install disk again, as well as the 10.5.8 combo updater. This might reinstall any 'missing bits'.
You can do this without deleting the hard drive, just install straight over your existing system, but close all applications and external devices first.

Function module PTRA_WEB_EXPENSE_REPORT_GET_2 not working when used in loop

I have used a function module PTRA_WEB_EXPENSE_REPORT_GET_2 in a custom fumction module which i am developing fetch the travel expense data . The function module PTRA_WEB_EXPENSE_REPORT_GET_2 returns the travel expense data based on the employee and the trip number. I want to fetch the travel expense data for a given set of employees and trip number and hence i have used this function module inside a loop statement.
The function module returns the travel expense data for the employee and trip in the first loop pass. From the second loop passs it doesn't return the value. I have also checked this in se37 and the same thing happens. Value is returned for the fist employee but for the next employee we have to go to initial screen of se37 and execute the Func. module again.
I debugged this function module and found that the value of the employee and the trip number is stored in the global variable. The value passed for the employee and trip is compared with the correspomding value in the global variable and if they are not same an error message is returned. Since we are using in a loop , each time a different value is passed for the employee and trip and the check fails .
Is there any way to clear the value in the global parameters or is there any other function module which can be used to clear the values of the global variables?

1) can you try calling function module BUFFER_REFRESH_ALL ??
after each call...
2) May be u can call Function module "PTRA_WEB_EXPENSE_REPORT_GET_2 " in background task or seperate task , it will load the function group everytime when u call it in loop.

Function Module (ENQUEUE_ES_PROG) not working in Background

I scheduled a job which runs every 15 mins in the the background to fetch data from an external system,depending on the data volume ,the program can sometimes run for over 15 minutes.To avoid data conflict I used a function module ENQUEUE_ES_PROG on the program to first check if the job started is still running before another job gets kicked.The problem I have is the fact that this function module does not seem to work in the background but in the looks perfect in foreground. Does anyone have a clue on how to use this FM for background job?

Consider the following scenario:
Your job is running for more than 15 minutes. Since it is running in the background, it will be executed by a work-process of type BACKGROUND. If there's only one BACKGROUND work process configured for your application server, then the second job will have to be waiting till the first one finishes and releases the background work process.
But when you are executing this in the foreground, the DIALOG work-process does the processing. So you are not finding any problem.
So, to my knowledge, there will be a problem when there's only one BACKGROUND work process. Please go to transaction SM50 and see how many of them are configured for the current application server.
Also, in case there's only one BACKGROUND work-process, you will not have toworry that the second job will start before the first has finished. It simply can't. It has got to wait.

hello, I just got this apple bluetooth keyboard and paired it to my ipad2. The letter and number keys are working perfectly fine, but my ipad will not respond to F1 to F12 keys,I tried Fn+F1-F12 they are not working. Then I tried to restart both my ipad and keyboard but the problem is still there. Additionally, Command+arrows can't function either. command+space is working though. Could some one please help? thanks a lot!

It might have been functionality that Apple has removed in the current version of iOS. This old web article says the function keys worked in iOS3, but that's a couple of years ago:

Case statement and Decode function both are not working in Select cursor.

I have tried both the Case statement and Decode function in Select cursor, but both the things are not working. On the other hand both the things work in just select statement.

know the reason why decode is not working, I heard some where Case statement do not work with 8i.
Does this mean you are using 8i? Then scalar sub queries - selects within the select list, are not supported, along with CASE in PL/SQL.
