My Gamers Club Unlocked membership expiration is still wrong.

I have mentioned this several times and seems nothing has been resolved.
I renewed GCU back in September 2013, about a week after it expired.  I then renew once again sometime in November I think.  That time the GCU was for 2 years as the program had been overhauled.  Therefore my GCU should be until September 2016 yet it still shows 2015 on the MYBB page.
Additionally, I only receive one welcome pack of coupons despite two separate renewals (a 1 year and then 2 year).

As we’ve stated previously on the forums, this is a well-known issue within our My Best Buy team and they have been working to resolve this since the issue began occurring. We are very confident that this will be resolved well before your benefits would ever expire.
In regards to your GCU Welcome Packet, the Welcome Packets are generally sent within 2-3 business days of signing up for the program. I further apologize as it sounds like you may not have received one of your packets! I’m going to send you a private message with more information in regards to this.     Hello.  I was a GCU member with the old program, and upgraded to the new with the 30 dollar two year extension to membership in November 2013.  My membership showed to be active until 6-5-2016, two years after my prior GCU membership expired.  Yesterday, I went to preorder a game, and discovered my membership is gone.  I was on the phone with customer service a few times, and so far it is not fixed.  I found my original purchase receipt date in my history, along with the customer service PIN.  I do not know why my membership was cancelled one year early, but I would like to get it fixed so that I can use it this week.  Thank you.

    We've seen several issues with Gamers Club Unlocked purchases in 2013.  Not sure why, but I'm sorry for the hassle.

  • Elite and Gamers Club Unlocked Membership question

    Hello,
    We recently became Elite members though wasn't looking to join. We were Gamers Club Unlocked Members from darn near day one, but now we cannot see the status of the Gamers Club Unlocked.
    Did the Elite replace my Gamers Club Unlocked?
    I have 5 maybe 6 games on preorder that i don't want to lose the GCU discount on.

    Elite or Elite Plus status is an upgrade on your account based on how much you have spent at Best Buy.  Gamers Club Unlocked is a paid subscription that can be added to any My Best Buy account.  It sounds like your Gamers Club Unlocked status was probably extended until Feb. 10 and recently expired, and that just happened to coincide with the time when the account was upgraded to Elite.  If that is the case, the account holder would have been eligible for a renewal coupon.  Please see our post here for instructions on how to request a replacement coupon.

  • Whats is considered a ''new video game software'' with the Gamers Club Unlocked Membership?

    I mean, is a preordered item, a week after release or a month after?.
    Also if this apply with Wii U games.

    It looks like jac522 and Shady520 have everything pretty well covered here, but to provide an official answer: "new video game software" refers to any factory-sealed, disc-based game. It does not matter when the game was released or how long Best Buy has carried the title, just as long as the other two conditions are met (factory sealed, physical disc).   • Gamers Club Unlocked Membership Won't Show Up

    Hi, I recently purchased a $40 game to get GCU for $30 and returned both the game and GCU. I did get refunded $70 then I bought a $15 phone and got GCU for free. The other day it said my membership expires november 1 2018 then I got my refund of $30 from the first GCU I bought. Now I don't see any expiration date. I'd like to know if I'm still a member or not. Thanks

  • Gamers club unlocked membership

    I bought a membership about a week ago and I cannot see it reflected on my account. Does it take a little while to process that or am I possibly looking in the wrong place?

    Welcome to the My Best Buy Gamers' Club! Unlocked subscriptions offer some pretty sweet benefits, so I can imagine how anxious you must feel to start taking advantage of them.
    Customers can generally expect to see their GCU bonuses on BestBuy.com within 2-3 days of enrollment. Their My Best Buy membership must be fully registered and linked to their BestBuy.com account, however, as both of these are required to ensure the GCU discount is reflected in-cart.
    With that in mind, it looks like your GCU status should be reflected on BestBuy.com. To verify, simply do the following:
    When signed into your BestBuy.com account, hover over the My Best Buy tab at the top of any page
    Click on Account Overview in the menu that appears
    On the following page, hover over the Rewards tab
    Click on the Overview option that appears in the next menu
    Both your Gamers' Club status (Unlocked or no) and expiration date should be listed in the lower right-hand corner of the following page.

    I activated my Gamers Club Unlocked membership in store on Sunday, and now when I try to use it online the discount doesn't show up.

    You can view the current status of your account by clicking here and logging in.  After you log in, please click the "Rewards" page.  Your status and expiration should appear on the right side of the page.  Please make sure that your account information is updated.  If you're still having troubles with your Gamers Club Unlocked membership, then you may want to return to the store.

  • Gamers Club Unlocked Renewal Question

    Hi Matt, I've been a Gamers Club Unlocked Member since the program started in September of 2011, as well as a pretty consistent Premier Silver( which has now become Elite P'us) member.     The Gamers Club Unlocked membership went through some enhancements back in November and is no longer $14.99 per year.  As enuf mentioned, it currently cost $119.99 for a two year Unlocked membership.  We have had a couple promotional offers the past couple weeks that were offering a discount of the membership price, but those offers have expired.  There is always the possibility we could have a similar offer in the future; however, at this moment, the price to be Unlocked is $119.99.

  • Gamers Club Unlocked Deleted, Can't Get Back

    For the last 2 or 3 years we have been Best Buy Premier Silver Members.  In 2013 we did not spend enough to maintain this; so on March 1, 2014 my membership reduced to the MyBestBuy.
    Prior to March 1, 2014 I was using my Gamers Club Unlocked membership I purchased on 10/16/2012.  When my Best Buy membership reduced, somehow my Gamers Club Unlocked got deleted.
    We called the customer service department after having issues in the store.  We got transferred to multiple departments and NONE of them spoke English.  After more than an hour, I emailed them while I was still on the phone.  I received an email back stating that they would escalate this and it should take 7-10 business days to resolve.  Yesterday I received a call and they said they couldn’t find any record of the Gamers Club Unlocked.
    In January 2014 I used my membership; I have the receipt (that you can see on my best buy rewards page) and it clearly shows the Gamers Unlocked discount.  In addition to that you can see on 10/16/2012 the purchase of the Gamers Unlocked on my rewards page.
     How do I get this remedied?  It has been more than 2 weeks and all I am getting both on the phone and in email is the run around.
    How do I get someone that speaks ENGLISH???????  The language barrier is too much.  This has gone from a frustrating issue to an infuriating issue.  It doesn’t matter how many times they transfer me I get someone who doesn’t understand me and doesn’t seem to understand what Gamers Club Unlocked even is.  They always transfer me to the Digital Downloads department, and because they can’t help me, they transfer me to customer service, who in return transfers me to digital downloads again.  Really?????

    The date you renewed your membership
    Where you renewed your membership (city + state or store number)
    How you paid for the renewal

  • Gamers Club Unlocked Not Activated

    I purchased a membership online last week and went to my local Best Buy on Sunday to activate my membership. I was told to wait up until 24 hours for it to update online but it has been over 48 hours now and I am still unable to use the discount on any game. Can someone help me with this please?

    Buying and activating a Gamers Club Unlocked membership should be a simple process, and I’m truly sorry to hear you ran into such issues with activation. Typically, this is a situation that must be resolved in store as we don’t have a remote way of activating the Gamers Club Unlocked membership.
    Using the information you registered with the forum, I was able to locate the initial order of the Gamers Club Unlocked membership as well as the transaction rang in the store. I was also able to review your My Best Buy membership and see that the Gamers Club Unlocked membership is reflected on our end. Are you still not seeing it on yours?

  • Gamers Club Unlocked - Not showing up as activated

    I preordered several Disney Infinity items back on 7/21 along with a My Gamers Club Unlocked card.  The 20% discount was applied to everything in my order.  The card itself came directly to my house a couple of days later.  I took the card to my local Best Buy store to have it activated.  Like many others on this message board, the cashiers were confused and had to call over a manager.  They apparently activated it, but it then charged me $30 again...they processed that as a store discount.  The manager basically said she didn't have time to figure it all out so she was just processing it as a store credit.  They did ask me for My Best Buy membership information so I figured it was all set.  That was on August 1st.  I still can't see the card on my online account.  I am looking to preorder several other games, but won't until this problem is resolved.  I requested help via email and was just directed to call an 800 number.   Any help would be appreciated.  I saw where several people on this message board had the store ring up a game when the card was activated, but no one did for me in the store.  I figured it was working when the discount was applied to my online order.  Thanks in advance for the help. rumrunner25

    There seems to be an issue with the stores process and how it's communicated.  I'm really sorry for the inconvenience you've experienced with getting your Gamers Club Unlocked membership activated.   
    The stores management team should be able to resolve this issue and I personally apologize for the manager’s behavior.  We never want our customers to feel this way.  
    It does appear that you were given the wrong card.  I'd advise you to return to the store and have them attempt to activate it again.  Make sure that they add your My Best Buy account information to the transaction and ring-up a new game purchase before leaving the store.  
    If they're unable to active your current card, then they'll need to exchange it.  Please note that the card shouldn't have "Gifting" on it or on your purchase receipt.  If it does, then this is the wrong card.  
    I'm sorry again for all the trouble and please keep me the loop on how it goes.  I look forward to hearing from you.  

  • Gamers Club Unlocked $30 Coupon Apparently didn't take affect last month?

    I was on the phone with customer service for hours yesterday and could not get a straight answer.
    I went to BB on 12/13/13 to purchase 2 - $20 Origin Cards and Renew my BB Gamers Club Unlocked Membership with the coupon for 2 years at $30. I had $10 in rewards Certs as well. I went to the Cashier, saw him scan the coupon, paid for my purchase and left. Realizing, it should have been in more than I paid, I went back to the customer service and asked them to check my account and make sure everything was okay. 
    Customer Service in Store told me everything was fine, I was showing as a Gamers Unlocked Member, and I would get charged the $30 when my date was up from my original Gamers Unlocked Membership. Well I was going to go in and buy GT6 and my 20% was not being deducted. Then told me that was because I was a Gamers Club Member and not a Gamers Club Unlocked member. I told them what was going on, and they said I could renew my membership at the full $20. If I wanted to be a Gamers Club Unlocked Member. 
    I am a very loyal BB customer. I have been an Elite Plus member for a year, and a Gamers Club Unlocked Member for a year. I am very upset with this situation as it seems I have missed up on a oppurtunity thanks to a cashier making a mistake. 
    I still have my original Receipt and Coupon from the date I went in a month ago. What do I do? Do I go talk to the store manager! I really want my Gamers Club Unlocked account re-instated. I am even willing to pay $30 TWICE if I need too. 
    Please Help.

  • Gamers club unlocked just stopped working.

    I purchased gamers club unlocked on 11-10-2014 and it showed up on My Best Buy reward until 12-9-2014.  After that day it just disappeared off my account.  I have spoken to countless people at 1-888-Bestbuy dating back to 2-20-15 when I went to purchase The Order and had to pay full price.  I have went in the store and all they can tell me is call the 888 number so I called today and asked to speak with a supervisor, the put me on hold for 2.5 hours and no one ever came to the phone.  This is the most frustrating thing in the world to purchase something and not receive what paid for.  I still have the receipt and I pulled up the transactions for when it first appeared on my account and when it disappeared off my account.   Can anyone one tell me the best course of action to resolve this issue.

  • Gamers Club Unlocked not showing as activated

    On July 21st, I preordered some PS4 games online and also purchased the Gamers Club Unlocked. It applied the 20% discount to my online order with no problem.
    On July 26th, I took the Gamers Club Unlocked card I received in the mail to my local store and also purchased a game. They scanned the bar code under the sticker and rang up my game purchase. The game was 20% off, so I figured the Gamers Club Unlocked membership was activated correctly.
    However, when I go to purchase a game online, I am not getting the 20% off. I looked up my in store purchase from July 26th online and it looks like it should've activated my membership:

    I seem to have come across a strange occurrence.  After I bought the My Gamers Club Unlocked Membership, I used it successfully in tandem with the purchase of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for the PS4, along with the 20% discount for new games.  The next two purchases I made back in April did not apply the 20% discount when I handed over my card to be scanned.
