My generation 6 Ipod nano will not let me download songs from my library to my playlist if they are on the cloud. How do i get the songs on my playlist?
My generation 6 IPOD Nano will not let me put songs on my playlist from the library. A message comes up saying it has to be downloaded from the cloud. I do I bypass this?
If the songs are not in your iTunes library, download them as indicated here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519. Then sync them to your iPod.

My ipo will not let me download apps or sync them either.
There are a million ppl having this problem right now and it seems like Apple is ignoring it. It's been real bad since May, even worse that last week or so. Basically all we can do is sit and wait to see what excuse or help, if any, will be given. I've used a Walmart pre-paid card and I'm sorry, but who really incorrectly types a 3 digit number a million times?! Also my account is saying I owe iTunes $40 for in-app purchases. Bull!! My card sends me a balance twice a day via text and because of this, I know what, where, and how my money is being spent. Also it's pre-paid, how can you have an over draft?!?! Here's a real kicker though...my card balance is in the positive!!! Hmmm, obviously not a fault on my part, the part of my card, nor my iPod. It's all in the system!!!

7th Generation iPod Nano will not connect to iTunes after iTunes 11.1.4.62 update
I updated iTunes to the 11.1.4.62 version last night. Now, when I connect my iPod Nano 7th gen device, iTunes gives me a message stating that an iPod has been connected but could not be indentifed properly, try reconnecting, unistall then reinstall iTunes, blah blah. Tried all that and none of it works. iPod worked fine on this computer on iTunes until this update. Windows 8.1 system.

Remove and reinstall iTunes

My 7th generation iPod nano will not turn on or be recognized by my computer.
I have plugged it into my computer. Nothing. Blank. Computer says it can't read the USB.
I update the version of iTunes. Nothing. Blank.
I hold the power button. Guess what? Nothing. Blank.
I've only had this iPod for a couple weeks, and I have not had any problems before.If this is the case, I suggest you return the unit and ask for a replacement. Cheers!

I just got this new ipod 3. I plugged it into the computer and i have itunes and it updated to the IOS 4.2.1 and now i have downloaded the IOS 4.3 to my computer but now how do i down load it to my ipod. ? when i open up itunes with my ipod and click summary below the picture is said backups and options. But nothing about updates. Please help ASAP!
If you can't download using your phone, then just download it from Itunes and then sync your phone.

Check the required specs for the latest version of iTunes and iOS. What kind of Mac computer do you have and what OS does it have on it. Also, what kind of processor do you have, Intel?

Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

However, since it works with other networks that really suggests a problem with your network. -

Your 1st gen shuffle... It's the white one with USB plug, that looks like a USB flash drive...?
Are you able to see it in Windows, and maybe change the drive letter back to E:? -

allison i had the same problem to but then i figured out! You have to put in a credit card number so you can purchase a game thats free or 0.99 cents or higher then you have to fill in other stuff then press next on your ipod touch or computer then it says you have succesifully created an apple id! I just bought a new laptop and my ipod nano will not stay connected to my computer. When I first connect the ipod it starts to sync on my ipod but not on itunes. The ipod is initially connected to my computer, I can see it when I look on devices in my computer. However, when it finishes syncing it is no longer detected to my computer. I cannot transfer any of my songs to my new laptop because of this. I have tried to reinstall itunes, reset my ipod and use a different port. None of these things worked. Any ideas?
