My girlfriend just bought me an unlocked iphone 4s but at the moment I have a standard size sim card and we are in the caribbean. She has a micro sim in her iphone 4. can i activate my phone with her card then change to my card (different carrier) when i get back to our home country (from caribbean)? also ofcause not affecting her phone or sim.
Basicly I wanna play around with the new phone and siri and stuff before I go back home

There are SIM cutter's/punches that will cut a full size sim into a micro sim.
Then you can use the old part of the large sim as a holder/adapter of the newly made micro sim
as a full size sim.

I'm only guessing here since I don't use Facetime myself but I think it depends on the model number of the phone. iPhones sold by UAE operators have unique model numbers and these do not get the Facetime app installed at all. Even in India, if you update or do a clean reinstall, you still the UAE-branded OS.
Facetime is blocked because the voice and video goes over WiFi and this eats into the profits of the mobile operators. Most countries here in the Middle East block video and voice chatting over the Internet - not due to censorship - but because the government-owned operators here enjoy monopolies and want all video and voice to go over their networks for maximum revenue. I live in Oman where for example Skype is blocked simply because it is seen as a competitor to the government landline operator.

Call Applecare and verify it is actually unlocked. Lots of people think they have unlocked their phones, but unless they finished their 2 year contract, it's highly unlikely it's unlocked.

I know the password is correct and the wireless system works on my other computers (PCs) . It picks up my wireless network, but I get a prompt that tellls me the password is not correct. I have set it to WAP... I tried WEP but was told it should be WAP... I even took it to my son's home this weekend and got the same results from his wireless connection.

Your iBook is younger than mine. I have an iBook G4. 800MHzPower PC G4 processor.256K level 2 cache. 256MB of DDR SDRAM; supports up to 640MB.
This unit did NOT have an AE card preinstalled. I purchased that at an Apple Store and they did the install for me. The iBook ran OS 10.3.3 out of the box. I know it was on the Internet via ABES g standard on a dial up AOL connection thanks to Tesserax on the Airport forum.
My iBook is now running 10.3.9. It was on the Internet with 10.3.4 mayb even 10.3.3. Can't remember. The only reason I went to 10.3.9 was for a printer istall.
We purchased an iBook G4 exactly like yours for a friend. There was a noticible speed bump on that one. I set it up for our friend and there was no difficulty getting on the Internet with it here at my home or his.
Have you been able to connect to the Internet at a hotspot? Just trying to cover all the bases.

The music I just bought is not in my Library. How can I get it?

So I just purchased an album from the iTunes store. The program shut down, so I reopened it and resumed the download.
I realized then that I was missing a couple of the tracks. Apparently, it never downloaded, but it didn't appear in the queue when I clicked check for available downloads again. It wasn't in my library and it wasn't under the purchased playlist.

hi i have recently backed up my iphone 4 to do a wipe of my phone. i got all my info back on it but was wondering how can i view my messages on my computer so that i can delete old messages from months ago without actually having to delete the recent ones?

I just bought our daughter a new ipad. How can I set up her account without giving away my password.

I am getting everything set up for her. She has her own itunes account but when I try to update her apps, it asks me for my password instead of hers.
What can I do to get it to only use her account password. Mine is tied to a credit card and I do not want her to be able to make purchase on my credit card.

If she creates her own iTunes account she can't use any protected content purchased under another account. She can play unprotected content synced from an iTunes library on a computer, but she can only download content from the cloud that is purchased under her account.
It's a pain I know, but the longer you put off the move, the worse the situation will become.

I got a mac pro and have updated to mountain lion, i use the mac cal to synchronize to mac cal on iphone 4s and vise versa, I got birthdays on my cal but would like to add anniversaries to it as well how do i add them so i dont forget important dates and also in my icloud i have 3 colours for different entries e.g. green for holiday , blue for home and green for work, so how do i add another colour for something else for a different entries called "events" and add anniversaries like birthdays. Ta Juss p.s i also have a problem with birthdays they all duplicated.....

Go to "File" and create a new calendar, name it "Events" or whatever you like and pick a color. Then, go to the date you want the anniversary on and create an all-day event naming it however you like. Under repeat, choose to have it repeat every year and select never for when it should end. You will now have a calendar of anniversaries and other events. Just make sure to select repeat every year and never end on each item you want in that calendar.

The person probably purchased it as a hacked iPhone and had no idea this had been done to make the iPhone work in Latvia. Call AppleCare and give them the model and serial number and find out what cell carrier the iPhone is locked with. Then call that cell carrier and see if it is possible for the owner to get it officially unlocked (not probable if it is Lithuanian iPhone).
