My graphics card which is supported doesn't get recognised

My graphics card which is supported doesn't get recognised.
I tried updating the driver of the graphics card which is a NVIDIA 2000D and it didn't help.
Maybe someone has a idea what it can be??

  • I have an 'Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family' internal graphics card which is supported by every other browser expect Firefox. I'm running Windows8

I'm having trouble understanding why h/w acceleration is not supported for my graphics card. I have an 'Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family' internal card. Firefox says 'Blocked for your graphics driver version' under troubleshooting information. I'm running Firefox 18 beta under Win8x64. So, here's the trouble. When i was running Windows7x64, h/w acceleration was available only under chrome & that was limited too. I never really complained because i understood my card was about 5 years old. When i moved to Windows8, i was planning on getting a new graphics card, but to my surprise Intel had released new drivers for this version of windows & suddenly i was getting full acceleration under IE & Chrome & Adobe flash is also playing h/w accelerated videos. It would be helpful if someone could tell me why only Firefox seems to have a problem.

Ok.. thanks for your reply & the last sentence on the link you mentioned just answers my question.. It emphatically states about my card. I guess that's it then. So, long Firefox...

  • Installed graphics card does not support the opengl features recommended

I've installed FCP6 on my PowerMac (PPC G4 DP 1.25GHz), and when I run it, I get a warning ("...installed graphics card does not support the opengl features recommended...") and the program ends. The graphics card is the ATI Radeon 9000 Pro (64MB)
I'm looking for a definitive answer regarding my hardware compatibility with FCS2 (specifically, FCP6). I'm NOT looking for an answer along the lines of: your system is too old to run this.
I've checked the minimum system requirements from the apple website (http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/specs/
    and http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/download/):
    * A Macintosh computer with a 1.25GHz or faster PowerPC G4, PowerPC G5, Intel Core Duo, or Intel Xeon processor
    * 1GB of RAM
    * An AGP or PCI Express Quartz Extreme graphics card (Final Cut Studio is not compatible with integrated Intel graphics processors)
    * A display with 1024-by-768 resolution or higher
    * Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later
    * QuickTime 7.3 or later
    * DVD drive for installation
I have all that stuff. What I'd like is to know which component of my system is FCP6 complaining about (vis-a-vis the error message above), alternatively, if someone has had success with a similar configuration, I'd like to know anything they think might help.
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice you may have.

The minimum would probably be an nVidia Fx5200 or an ATI 9600...

  • Mainstage says my MacBook graphics card isn't supported. Huh?

I just installed Logic Studio on my MacBook 2.2 Intel Duo OSX 10.5.5, and Mainstage won't boot. Says my graphics card isn't supported. Logic Pro works fine.
    Any ideas, geniuses?

MainStage has additional requirements beyond those of Logic Pro. Your MacBook uses onboard graphics which don't meet the requirement for the original version of MainStage; some people have gotten it to work by running the current MainStage updater.

  • Please could someone confirm the Graphics card needed to support a Eizo ColorEdge CG275W monitor, resolution 2560x1440

Hello, community, Please could someone confirm the Graphics card needed to support a Eizo ColorEdge CG275W monitor, resolution 2560x1440. I currently have a Mac Pro with a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT VRAM (Total):          256 MB, which I'm guessing by it's age will not handle the new monitor. Any advice greatly appreciated.

I would dump the 7300GT regardless and get the ATI 5770 $249
    Apple ATI HD 5770
5770 in the 2006 Mac Pro

  • X3100&NVS140M graphic card, which one can take more quickly in ultiboard Show 3D?

anyone can tell me,X3100&NVS140M graphic card, which one render speed more quickly,in ultiboard show 3D?
Actual,I used nvs140m graphic card more slowly than x3100 graphic card obviously. It's right or not?

I don't think anyone will be able to definitely tell you that one particular graphics card will be better than the other. There are just too many factors. The only way to tell would be to test over and over, and even then, you may not get consistent results.

  • Hi My Ipad 1 doesn't get recognised by my Mac..

Hi My Ipad 1 doesn't get recognised by my Mac. I've tried reinstalling itunes, changing USB cables and ports and tried it on 3 different ports but no joy. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

It could be a worn out battery that is not able to charge.
Are you using the original USB docking cable that came the 2nd gen shuffle (it has a mini-dock at the shuffle end)?  If you use a USB cable that is for the 3rd /4th gen shuffle, it will not work; the connector is different.

  • CS4 and Mac Pro with two graphic cards: OpenGL not supported!

I have two graphic cards in my Mac Pro. If a use a dual display setup where both displays are connected to the same card, Photoshop enables OpenGL support (Preferences > Performance).
Switch both displays to the other card, also works fine.
BUT if I connect one display to the first card and the second display to the second card (so each display has its own graphic card) the Open GL support is greyed out (I can not longer use canvas display rotation for example)
This doesn't make sense to me and looks like a bug...

Are you running two of the same cards or are they different? I'm running a pair of NVidia 7300GTs with no issues...and I'm driving a pair of 30" Cinemas and an NEC 26" widescreen. I get better performance on the single 30" than on the card with the two displays. Also note that which PCI slot you are driving the cards in has an impact on their performance...something to look into.

  • Advices about graphic card choice (best supported in Arch) ?

    Hello,
I was running a desktop with Arch and a nVidia 7900GS but recently, my 7900GS died
So I was looking for a new cheap graphic card who could decode 1080p and who have an HDMI port.
Somebody told me that the AMD HD 5450 could be a good choice, or the upcoming nVidia GT 430 could be a nice choice too
But what about the support of theses new hardware in Archlinux ?
Which of theses have the best drivers ? the best performances under Arch ?
    Thank you for your support

graysky wrote:+1 for an nvidia board w/ VDPAU decoding.  Linux and nVidia are a nice match.  I've had nothing but pain with my one and only experience with an ATI board.
Not the latest Optimus based cards though, nvidia have just as much as said "we won't support this on Linux in the foreseeable future", leaving purchasers of such laptops with a deadweight which only pulls power. All rendering is done through the Intel card....

  • Intel and Nvidia graphics - set which one support choosen game.

    Hello,
On some game forum one guy tell me i can set which one - intel or nvidia graphics support my choosen game, cuz i have intel processor and intel motherboard but also i have nvidia geforce 550ti graphics card, and my question is: Can i choose what graphics intel or nvidia support my choosen game ?

x_user wrote:Yes i have  xf86-video-nouveau and mesa-libgl but performance for game what require only GeForce FX series is really bad, but maybe that model of graphics card is not best for open drivers, maybe this is the point.
There's no reclocking for this card currently.
Nouveau runs it locked at 405 MHz GPU clock, 648 MHz memory clock, 810 MHz processor clock.
Nvidia can run it at 3 perf levels:
GPU Clock    Memory Clock    Processor Clock
    0    50 MHz          270 MHz             101 MHz
    1    405 MHz        648 MHz             810 MHz
    2    900 MHz      4104 MHz           1800 MHz

  • My next iMac-- which graphics card; which display size?

    Hi all,
I'd like some advice in choosing my next iMac, specifically regarding the graphics card and the display size.
    Graphics Card:
I'm not a gamer nor am I doing any 3D animation. Is there any other reason to upgrade the graphics card? I DO want the best possible video playback (QT movies), but I don't know if the graphics card has any bearing on video playback quality.
    Display size:
Aside from the obvious differences in resolution, do any of the three displays sizes (17,20,24) have any history of being better or more reliable?
Thanks in advance for any tips

Your needs will better dictate which model is best.
Video playback of QuickTine movies will not be affected by upgrading to the 24" with the nVidia chip.
No 3D gaming or animation means no need for a higher end graphics card. In my case, the x1600 ATi in the original Core Duo 20" is more than sufficient for everything I've thrown at it so far including full resolution "Call of Duty".
For your use, you may not need the extra VRAM but I personally would bump it up to 256MB though. Adding an external monitor will split the total VRAM between the two monitors and with Apple continually moving a lot of Mac OS X's graphical features to the GPU, the extra memory may be a blessing.
    Display Size:
I believe that reliability between the three models is pretty much the same.
The advantage to the 24" is, of course, the extra screen real estate and resolution. However The price difference between the 20" and 24" could allow you to go with the 20" model and add an external LCD for a dual screen setup (if space permits).
Weigh your needs - now and the immediate future - and then look at both models in person if possible.

  • New Mac Pro Graphics Cards - Which way to go???

    Hi Everyone,
Just looking at placing an order today for a new Mac Pro and have been considering it since they came out earlier this month. With the new graphics card availabilities I am kind of at a loss with which way to go and wanted to see what the opinion of the group would be. They offer the possibility of having multiple cards if you go with the low end ATI 2600 (256mb) then one can have up to eight displays. Or do I go with the slightly larger NVidia 8800 (500mb) which probably offers better overall performance. There is no notation stating that one can stack the NVidia card the same way as the ATI and I don't think I feel like dropping an extra almost $3000 on the highest end card offered so I am stuck trying to decide. I work primarily in video and photo work so the idea of multiple displays is appealing but not if there is a lack of overall performance. Using Motion a lot I find the graphics card is really crucial to render times, especially when using the motion blur within the project.
Any advice or considerations to be thought about would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Checked out Barefeats?

The 8800 is not yet shipping, which will hold up an order.

  • Why the graphic card does not support directv2 pc?

I have HP Envy 15 early 2012 3033cl, OS Windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I just downloaded the direct tv app to watch my recorded programs but is not working. I have the AMD HD 7690 M graphic card, and intel's other card I don't know what model that one is. When I use Intel's card I get audio and a green screen. When I use the AMD card I get a message "DIRECTV2PC cannot play this video because your graghic card does not currently support screen capture protection for protected content. Try updating your graphic card driver or modify your driver settings."

Ipod touch supports bluetooth for stereo headsets/speakers and some peer to peer apps from the app store.
Why is not a question that can be answered here.
    Only Apple would know.

  • Do you have an up to date list of recommended graphics cards which should be used with CS 5.5 design premium.

My current graphics card is a NVIDIA GTX 650Ti  which is giving up the ghost.  i have been asked what card I need to replace it, but I cant find an up-to-date list of recommended graphics cards.  My IT department suggest the NVIDIA GTX 750TI OC as the previous one is no longer available.

Completely irrelevant. The only program that uses GPU acceleration in Design Premium CS5.5 is Photoshop, anyway. Any contemporary card should more than suffice.

  • CS6 Adding Graphics Cards to the Supported List

This is a user-to-user forum where people come to help in their spare time. If you want to officially request something from Adobe, you have to file a feature request. If you do, you request can be officially tracked. If you just do a forum post, it really won't help you at all.
Please be aware that After Effects will most likely work just fine with either of those cards. AE uses the GPU for very little - see here. Of course, some third-party effects do use the GPU, but they don't require a white list of cards, so you should still be good.
Note: these cards are already on the list for CC. CS6 is the old version of the software.
The fact that they are still releasing updates for CS6 (another one is meant to be coming next month) is really benevolent on their part and not something every software company would do. However, the updates they are making are mostly to fix bugs. They are unlikely to add functionality to old software.
