My hard drive was erased how can I get my apps back?

So, I accidentally erased the hard drive on my iMac. Then, when I go to charge my iTouch, it asks if I want to sync it....I do....oops. Now I have erased all the content in my iTouch too!!!! Aaauurggghhhhh!!!
Now, is there any way I can get all the apps. and purchased iTunes I paid for for me and my kids, back????

Reinstall it:
Install or Reinstall OS X from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
      left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
      the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
      the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
           because it is three times faster than wireless.
This should install the version of OS X that you had installed.

I downloaded 4.0.1 and lost all my Yahoo toolbar apps but still have the Yahoo search bar. How can I get the apps back? Refreshing the "gear" does nothing.

Hold the home and power button down until your phone restarts. If that doesn't work, backup and restore using iTunes.

I think my hard drive crashed. How can I get data off via firewire before the HD completely goes? I was stuck on the BSoD and now I can't even use the install disk. Utility Disk said HD was okay. Please HELP ME

Safe mode did nothing.
Safe mode with verbose seemed to make it worse.
Before continuously trying new things, I could use the install disk to check the disk utility and clear
the hard drive from there but now the screen won't even load to that.
I really need the data on the hard drive especially if it can't be salvaged.

No. In order to use FireWire Target Disk Mode you need to use a FireWire equipped Mac. Other than that the only other way I can think of to even attempt to access you files would be to remove your hard drive and install it in a case and connect it to another computer.

Hi, I'm new on the forum. I decided to try this since Adobe phone support has been abysmal. I purchased Adobe Creative Cloud, installed and registered it on Feb. 25 2013. Since then my computer crashed and I lost the programs and the link to download. I still have the serial # and the product shows up in my account under Registered Products. How can I get a download link?

How could I turn my Appstore back to English again ? How can I get my apps back again after migration to IOS 5 ?

I migrated my iPhone 3GS yesterday to IOS 5. All my apps disappeared, and, on the top of that, my Appstore turned to Dutch, instead of English.
So, in order to sort matters out, I would need to have help for the following:
1. Put my Appstore in the iPhone back to English, so that I can charge apps in English, not in Dutch;
2. Get my apps back.

I found out after phoning apple support at least 9 times today that you can change the language of the Appstore by doing the following:
1. Going into My Account in the Applestore, and going into 'language etc' and writing down the language you want to use (eg. English instead of Dutch). Save it.
2. After doing that, in the iPhone itself, go to Settings/Appstore/ and click on your Apple ID. Then click on Sign Out. Then, Sign In again with your login and password details for your Apple ID. The language of your Appstore should now be the one you chose in step 1.
I hope it works for you all. It was not easy to get to this ...

i purchase an app, but i deleted it by accident, so i went to the app store to downloaded again but its telling me i have to purchase it again, what can i do to get the app back with out paying for it again?

How can i get my apps back?

I had a 4th generation ipod touch that i bought apps on through the app store, but it broke so i bought another but now i cant figure out how to get the apps back.
I tried going to the app store, then to purchased (using the same account) but in the end it fails to download.
I never thought to transfer purchases through i tunes because i never saw that option until i went looking for a way how to get my apps.
Is it possible to get my apps back? i paid a good amount of money in total and would hate to do it again.

Apple's policy is clear: iTS purchases can be downloaded only once. It is your responsibility to make back-ups.
That being said, at their discretion they have made one-time exceptions to this policy. You can ask for an exception by submitting the form at the bottom of this page:

I bought a 2012 MacBook Pro, which came with 10.8 preinstalled. It's all original, brand new, sealed and everything. I'd like to know how (and IF) I could get the Mountain Lion app for free. It's not in my list of purchases from the AppStore, but since it came preinstalled on my Mac, isn't it like I bought the app? I can't have it for free?

As for backups, to be honest, I generally don't like them, because I sometimes stick my nose here and there and may cause some problems (visible or "lurking") which get transferred to the backup/clone. So I'm a "clean install" guy if anything happens. Also, I generally don't like OS updates, that's why I'll be installing Mavericks from square one and not as an update to ML.
As for safety, I manually copy my personal files (books, music, photos, other documents etc.) on an external hard drive and copy them back when I need them. This is my (although admittedly primitive) "backup and restore"
The questions addressed here (and kindly answered by you) were if disaster struck, say if I couldn't get to the home screen or I gather much too much bugs/errors that I (or the Mac) could handle. In those cases, I'm interested in a clean restore, that is including the format via Disk Utility and actually reinstalling from scratch the last OS X that I had.

Can't transfer from iTunes to iPhone4 & How Can I get my apps back?

So, on my old computer, I had all my music on an external drive, and I finally decided to put iTunes on my laptop and just bring the music over especially since the computer just died. I decided to also plug in my iPhone so that it can sync up and I could go through all the steps with that now and not worry about it later - plus I wanted to put on all my Halloween apps that I'd been collecting for the past 3 years...
Well, the music got transferred just fine. I sync up the phone and it tells me that there is an update. I transfer my purchases first before doing the update. While it's doing that, I'm noticing something weird - it's transferring apps that I've had for awhile now. So, I look at my apps, and the only ones there are the ones that were just on my phone, all the others I had were gone!
I update my phone to ios5. It takes EVERYTHING off the phone. And when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING! The photos I had on there stayed, as did whatever notes I made, and my contacts were all safe along with my prior messages. All the music and videos and apps were taken off. No problem, right? Wrong. I can't seem to transfer anything from iTunes to my iPhone.
So, here's my dilemma:
(1) How do I get all the zillions of apps back when I no longer have the computer that they were originally on?
(2) How do I transfer music/videos/apps from iTunes to my iPhone?
Everything is updated, the computer is authorized, there is obviously space on the iphone.... I'm at a loss. Help! ;__;

Did you make sure that no restrictions are set on your phone to install apps? Check Settings/General/Restrictions --> App Installation.

I just did the iOS6 upgrade, against my better judgement. Of course, after the upgrade it put my phone into recovery mode. I didn't think this would be a big deal because THIS time, I had backed up my apps.

I had the same problem, but I just synced the iPhone to iTunes (using the cable), and all of my apps came back. They were all advanced a screen over from where they had been prior to the upgrade, so if it looks like they might not be there, keep going just to make sure.

I accidentally erased everything on my harddrive, don't ask me how I have no idea....
When I start my computer all I get is a blinking folder.... From what I see on internet this is bad news.... Can I use the DVDs that came with my macbook (late 2008) to restore it? I do not need to keep any files on the computer and would like to have a clean start and have a back-up (not using time capsule restore thingy) of the files I would like to put back (mainly photos and documents).
What can I do?

If you can boot from the install DVD, you can look at the disk from there and see if everything is truely gone.
If it is you can reinstall again from the install DVD.
If you have a backup you can restore your files from there.
