My HDMI 1080p LCD keeps disconnecting whenever it switches input or turns off

I've connected a new HD LCD to my Intel iMac (Model 10,1) running 10.6.7. I'm facing the problem that whenever I switch inputs in the TV to another HDMI input, or turn the power off to the TV, the iMac things it's been disconnected, and reverts back to only the single iMac monitor. Is there anything I can do to prevent this, so that the iMac thinks that it's on all the time? I've currently got a Mini-DisplayPort to DVI connector, and a DVI to HDMI cable plugged in to the TV. Could this be the issue? If I invest in the Mini Displayport to HDMI directly, will that help? Before I spend on that I'd like to make sure that will help.
Any thoughts?

The miniDisplayPort-to-HMDI converter I've got is this one from Amazon: Kanex iAdapt MDPHDMIV2 HDMI V2 - Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter with Audio Support
It supports audio as well on my 21.5" iMac. I use it to watch iTunes HD movies, and Blu-ray movies as well when switching over to Windows in Bootcamp.

That happened to my brother earlier. He went into Facebooand then into another app and the same thing happened. he ended up having to restore it. Mine stayed with the Apple logo for a bit but its back to normal after pressing the buttons a million times. I hope you get your problem sorted. Goodluck!

but just with the sleep botton.
fist use your adapter with other iphone/itouch ... is posible itś the problem
second .. let your phone charging
...normally if we conect our phone ... after some minuts it's put on.
after 2 hours ... trate to use it ... if after it your phone continue same... could be qaa electrical/physic problem

That is how it works in general, not just for Numbers. It irritates me on other apps at times, although I can see an argument that if it didn't do that then people would complain about missing functionality after they forgot they had turned data off for an app. At any rate, this is a user to user support forum and we can't do anything about it. Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Ok so last night I turned off my MacBook Pro with 66% of battery while charging and disconnected. Now today I turned on and it started like if battery went out while using it so when it turned on it showed 0% of battery then it whent really slow opening safari so I wanted to restar and couldn't so I holder the power button to turn it of and when I tried to turn it back on it just turns on and shows the apple and like an update bar loading and then it turns of it self. What to do?? Need help

Mac keeps freezing. hold down power until computer turns off.

Did you try this:
Errors 3000-3999 (3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the update server (gs.apple.com) on ports 80 or 443.
Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

Task List Alerts keeping sending, even though alerts have been turned off

We have about 12 or 13 task lists, which have between 15-25 tasks per list. Originally, the task lists were setup to have an alert on each task to send past the due date. We realized after the due date that this was sending way too many emails, so we turned off the alert on all tasks other than the last one on each list. We continue to get email messages for every task every day (and when you have have multiple task lists, the number of emails can be overwhelming).
When we turned the alert off, should that not have stopped those messages from sending? Is there something else we can check to try to find the root cause of this issue? We don't want to stop the application from sending emails all together, but we want all the alerts that we removed to stop coming in.

There are no viruses that affect iOS. There is no way the device could be infected unless it was jailbroken which would void your right to support from Apple and these forums.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

Why do i keep hearing a notification tone when I turned off all notifications and also put my macbook on do not disturb?

First I was hearing a notification tone intermitantly when an email came in; it was never consistent and only started after I'd had my macbook for about 7 weeks. Today, I found the way to turn off all notifications and put the computer on permanent do not disturb in system preferences. Now I'm getting the tone sort of at random. Yes. Reset network settings. Head to Settings -> General -> Reset and tap Reset Network Settings.

Ipod keeps playing after it has been paused, turned off and locked

I have this problem with my 30 gb ipod: I play a song and pause the ipod, i turn it off and then lock it. go to sleep. The next day i looked at the ipod and it is playing songs. This depletes the battery because it has been playing all night. It happens also after I finish playing a song completely (it is not paused). I turn it off and lock it. The next day it shows playing songs.
Please help. is there a setting I have to change? Is this a bug? What should I do?

You probably have an alarm set which turns on the ipod and starts it playing.
Go to main menu of iPod, EXTRAS -> Clock -> go into any of the clocks shown -> Alarm Clock and then see if it is ON.

Due to the number of problems with "upgrading" to this OS level, I suggest you try the very clean and very forceful AutoLoader OS Reload:

Beware that it is completely destructive...the device will be "like new"...no data, no apps, no accounts, etc. Be sure you take a full backup first, as well as make full manual documentation of all apps, accounts, configurations, etc. Sometimes a restore reintroduces the very corruption one is trying to eliminate, and manual reconfiguration is necessary.
You can also use this to fall back to a prior OS if you desire...you can install any OS level for which you can find an AutoLoader. (Hint...search over on the CB site!)

It's not hacked, it's likely experiencing one or more hardware issues, and you need to take it in for service.
