You can try cleaning/blowing out the headphone jack on the iPod. However, the jack may need replacement. The do go bad sometimes. THis place will replace the jack. Google for others.

i cant login anywhere as all my passwords are saved in firefox, i cant even access teh firefox preference to get my password, it's so sad

You likley have a corrupted Firefox preference or other support file in your User/Library folder.
Programs load these files from the user account to adjust to user specifications, instead of having multiple copies of the same program on the machine.
So when you reinstalled Firefox, it reinstalled the progrma only and the user support files remained from before.
To prove this point, use System Preferences to create another Admin account and log into it, Firefox should run like a charm.
To remove the Firefox support files from the problem user account your going to need to locate these files and delete them one at a time and try FF again and again.
The first one you shoull try is your FF .plist file located in your User/Library folder.
Clicm on the Finder and use the Go > Go to Folder and paste this
~/Library/Preferences
and press Go.
Now scroll down until you see the Firefox or Mozilla .plist file and Trash it, quit and restart Firefox, it will recreate the preference file with default settings you will have to reset it.
Next run through the list of fixes #1-13 here before proceeding.

If you need help deleting other FF files, download the free Easy Find from MacUpdate.com and search for anything "Mozilla" or "Firefox" in your User account only and take your chances you hopefully won't delete your password file in the process.
You should have site passwords written down someplace and locked up tightin case you need them, a computer isn't totally safe and reliable.

Im not completely sure its broken just yet, but no headphones i put into the slot will work, whats wrong?

Connect your headphones, and then right-click on the speaker icon in the notification area near the clock and select "Playback devices." You should see your headphones listed in the Sound window that opens. Right-click them and set them as default.

Have you tried reloading the firmware? Make sure to follow the instructions at the download page.

There is something wrong with my headphone jack. the sound skips in and out in even increments when im using headphones but through the normal speakers sound is fine. theres nothing wrong with my headphones. does anybody know what is wrong with it?

It may be dirty ...try blowing into the jack or better yet use a form of compressed air for electronic equipment. You could also try wetting the tip of your headphone jack with WD-40 (or a similar electronic contact cleaner) then wiggling that around to see if things clear up.

I recently bought an Airport extreme, while I was living in Japan, and had a fiber optic modem. The Airport connected fine and I had wi-fi I moved back to the US, and when I got my docsis(?) modem from COX, it wont work with my airport extreme help!

Basically had APxtreme working with fiber optic in Japan, got to the states with Docsis(cisco) modem and my APxtreme doesnt work now. Tried forever, and it just didnt work, I had a yellow light for internet on airport utility with a green light for the APxtreme? Still nothing workey....

Anytime you change networking hardware, it is always a good idea to perform a complete power recycle of your networking components.
I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
Power-down the modem, AirPort base station, and computer(s).
Disconnect the AirPort base station from the Internet broadband modem.
While all of the devices are powered-down, perform a "factory default" reset on the base station. This will get it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and make setting it up much easier, especially if you use the "Assist me" process within the AirPort Utility. (ref: Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule)
After the base station resets, go ahead and power it back down.
Reconnect the AirPort base station to the Internet broadband modem. For the Extreme and Time Capsule, be sure to connect the cable to the base station's WAN (circle-of-dots) port.
Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes to allow it adequate time to initialize.
Power-up the AirPort base station; wait at least 5-10 minutes. Note: The AirPort's status light may continue to flash amber after it has intialized. That is because, there may be some additional configuration items necessary, like setting up wireless security, before the overall setup is completed to get a green status.
Power-up your computer(s).
In this basic configuration, the AirPort base station will broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name (SSID) of Apple Network NNNNNN. Network clients, connected to the base station either by wire or wireless, should now be able to access the Internet through the ISP's modem. Once Internet connectivity has been verified, you can use the AirPort Utility to configure the base station for wireless security and any other desired options. Please post back your results.

My itunes stopped working about a week ago, all it does now when I try to open it is show a loading icon but then disapears without the program opening.

Elements on my Mac wont work after trying CS4, please help.

Elements will not work now. I had installed a trial version of Photoshop CS4 and it shut down Elements. I have now uninstalled the CS4 programs and am trying to reinstall Elements. It is asking me to put the CS4 disc in the complete the Elements installation. Does anyone know why it would ask me to do this? I really dont want the CS4 back on, as I do not want to purchase the program.

If you DO NOT have any other Adobe applications installed, you could try the following steps for a clean uninstallation:
1.      Delete PSE folder from /Application folder
2.      Delete Adobe folder from /Library/Application Support/ Location
3.      Go to /Applications/Utilities location and delete Adobe Utilities folder and Adobe Installers folder.
4.      Go to /Library/Logs folder and delete Adobe folder
5.      Go to /Users/Library/Application Support/ and delete the Adobe folder
6.      Go to Finder and click on Go -> Go To Folder and enter /tmp as folder name. This is a hidden folder and delete all the contents from this folder.
Now try installing again.

Hello I have had my blackberry for the past year and I always use my wifi connection at home when my free Internet runs out, it has always worked perfectly. But today, for no reason it isn't working? I have restarted my phone, taking out the battery, tried anything I could think of and it's still not working. I really miss my bbm so is there anything you think might fix this problem? also just incase this helps you i put in my mothers sim card into my phone yesterday when i was going out because i had no credit and she did so it allowed me to have bbms and ever since i came home and put my sim card back in my bbms havnt been working with wifi.
