MY headset wont work on my SB Live! soundc

I plugged my headset into my soundcard in the Speaker green slot and the mic pink/red slot. The sound works great but the mic doesnt work, how can i get it to work, i have tried many things, i dont know how to change my card from analog to digital. Can you please help me get my mic to work thanks.
BTW the headset i am using is the Plantronic Audio 350

Have you checked the silent switch on the side of the iphone?
Have you tried turning the volume up?
Have you tried restart?
Have you tried reset?
Have you tried restore?
Have you tried restore as new?
If all of these fail, then make an apointment at the genius bar. If your iphone is defective and is within the warranty period, then they will replace.

Asha 301 phone - headset wont work

Ok. So I purschased this Nokia 301 here the other day. Today it arrived at my local post office, and i picked it up. When I wrapped it up and charged it up, i discovered the headphones in the box wont work - my phone wont detect them. It seems like they arent there. And the phone was new when I tried the headset, so dirt and dust havent found its way into my phone.
Any ideas?

I had the same problem. I figured a way to make it work.
Your phone have to be on the Music Player mode. If you put it on the homepage, the headset control doesn't work. You can still lock you phone though.
The go to setting>phone>accessories>Headset, set default profile to "General" or the profile you are using. Turn on automatic answer. Then set headset as default in accessory settings.

Centro wired headsets wont work i have read the other posts on this

I've been reading posts on this topic. will try to find some wd40 or a paperclip when I get out of this airport!
but I dont know if this is my problem. because when my headset is plugged in you hear no sound coming from the
"earpiece" but the minute I unplug the headset you can hear fine with the phone.
if it was the "switch" and wd 40 would work, wouldnt I hear the call thru the phone if the headset was not registering?
it almost seems like it thinks bluetooth is on. I had to stop using bluetooth it kept resetting itself and not connecting.
so it is now t urned OFF. I have bought millions of headsets. I can call palm but have not had time and dont trust them.

As with most problems that occur on a Palm PDA, it is either software or hardware related and we have to determine which one.
Best method is to first make a complete backup of your unit to your SD card using the free "NVBackup" (available from http://www.freewarepalm.com) After the backup is complete, Hard Reset the unit, then test to see if full functionality returns.
How to Hard Reset a Palm Centro.
Go to http://kb.palm.com and enter the number 45050 into the "Solution ID" box.
DO NOT HOTSYNC YET! Test the unit before reinstalling any software. If the unit works correctly, your problem is being caused by a "drug interaction" of software - maybe one rogue program, or a combination of several. You'll have to reinstall the third-party programs one or a few at a time to find the problem one. To avoid re-installing a software issue, rename your /Backup directory in your Palm folder (on a PC it's found here: C/Program Files/Palm(One)/"your HotSync ID name truncated"/Backup) to something like "/BackupOLD". Now perform the HotSync, choose your HotSync name you've been using, and all your PIM data will return, but not the third-party programs. Test for functionality again. If all is good, start installing the old programs from your /BackupOLD directory one (or a few if brave) at a time.
If the unit does not work after a Hard Reset is performed correctly, then it may be Hardware-related. (If it's a connection problem via either BlueTooth or Wifi, be sure nothing has changed on the unit you're trying to connect to!)

Webcam on Equium A300D wont work with Windows live

The camera works fine, but when try to use it as webcam on Windows live it doesnt work.
This is new problem as has worked ok with Windows live in the past, and dont know why it wont work now.

Is there some error message or something?
When you have noticed this have you tried to roll back OS to earlier time when everything was OK?
Maybe some Microsoft update is responsible for this.
Exit camera assistant software and try to use it again. I use cam with Skype and MSN but camera assistant software doesnt start with windows and is also never started.

since i updated my phone to iOS 6.1.3 the wifi wont work and has turned a light grey colour ib the settings menu, this wont allow me to turn wifi on or off or do anything with it, is there anything i can do to fix this as its very irritating??? I have tried to reset my network settings several times but it has'nt done anything :/ i would much appreciate any help thank you

I had this same issue. I spent time on live chat with Apple Support last night. I went through all of their trouble shooting. This included: making sure airplane mode is off; resetting the network settings; and finally doing a factory reset (2 times) and restoring my phone. None of these worked. The support tech told me that the "WiFi radio is not functioning" which is a hardware problem. Only thing you can do is have the phone serviced or replaced. Hopefully you are still under warranty so it doesn't cost you anything. But if not, sounds like it will be about $199 to replace, according to other posts.

Mic wont work please someone help!

I've Creative Webcam Live Pro, and my mic wont work. I used the installation CD(webcam CD), and I tried plugging the outlet in the mic slot, and line in slot, but it still wont work. I went to the sound recording program that is installed in the XP, and it wont work. Please someone help I need to make it work.

Make sure you plug the microphone into the mic jack on your sound card.
Depending on what audio card you have, you will need to set the recording source to microphone in the audio settings. (Start, Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Volume Control, Options, Properties, Select Recording Source.) You might also selecting Mic Boost if there is an option.
Once the Mic is selected as the recording source, change back to playback (Volume Control, Options, Properties, Playback Control) and for now, make sure the microphone setting is not muted. Once that is done, try talking into the microphone to see if you can hear yourself over your speakers. If you can, then it's all set. If not, contact the company who makes your Sound card and verify the settings for enabling your microphone and specifically, what types of microphone and what range will work best (ex 600 ohmz)

Skype wont work with my mac os 10.5.8

afternoon, tried to download skype on my power book g4 and it after download I try to open the dm and it says wont work with this artitecture.
I am running 10.5.8 after I have download the dm the window that I should put it into the applications had like a do not enter symbol.

My earphones wont work on my macbook

When I plug my earphones to the slot (outlet) it wont work, the music will keep playing on the builtin speakers, I tried with my apple earphones, my beats and an advanced Sennheiser HD202, seems the problem is the laptop not my earphones, it just keeps the audio in the speakers... when I go to setting/sound there is no other option in the output for headsets, just for the builtin.

Try going to System Preferences > Sound and seeing what is selected in the Input tab. I'm guessing you have your volume turned right up?

You do not say where you live, but if in the US, the prices in the US MAS do not reflect any sales tax that Apple has to collect in many states. So if you live in a US where Apple has to collect sales tax USD$30 will not cover it.

So I tried to downloaded IOS6 and now my ipod wont work.

IPod wont work above 10000 ft

I was watching the news today and heard a story about iPods not functioning at altitudes over 10000 feet. Being someone who lives in the mountians in colorado where I live and spend most of my time over 10000 ft feel that the warning should have been more readily available. What should I do if my ipod breaks and wont work? Will Apple cover the repairs? Does Microsoft work better at high altitudes?

While it is true that some Ipods will work well over 10,000 feet, Apple has set that up as one of their specs. There are several reasons that they might have done so. All the components that Apple uses to make up their ipod have operating limits. These may or may not be set up by Apple. For an example and just an example. The maker of the hard drive might have an operational spec of 10,000 feet (not sure what the real range is) and might have only tested to this altitude. They will then post that spec in their docs. Apple then has to decide if they will use that hd. It they do, in order to stay in their contract and warranty range of the hds' they will post that spec. In my experience as an electronic engineer is that in the electronic industry 10,000 ft is pretty much a generic altitude that manufactures give to products that are non aerospace specific.
So bottom line is that it might very well work to twice that altitude, but it has only been tested to and certified to 10,000 feet. I do know that millions and millions of Ipods are used on small planes all the time and that there are people that live in Co. USA that work and travel in altitudes much higer then 10,000 feet and they work well. I have seen a post from a guy in Co. that has a picture of a G.P.S. and I believe the altitude is in the mid 13,000 ft range and he states it works fine. Remember these are operating specs for optimum performance. Real ranges could be much different. I do know for an example that there is lcd display on the space shuttle that is rated to 400 miles above the earth (how they got that sheesh) but the same display is on a pda that you can buy in just about any store. The screen on that pda (the exact screen) has a service cieling of 10,000 feet. Cost of testing and certification. The manufacture only tested a handful of the screens to extreme altitudes because of the cost. Cost of the screen for the shuttle, 1500 dollars. Cost of entire pda 250dollars. Hope this helps.
