My Health app on my iPhone 6 Plus isn't tracking anything.

I just got my iPhone 6 Plus and I love it! it is however having one issue that I'm not sure how to fix. In the health app it should be tracking my steps, flights of stairs, and running. It hasn't tracked anything and I don't know what to do. There is no specific setting tab for the Health app.
Thanks

running iOS 8.0.2
Resetting the settings did not work for me.

  • The Health app on my iPhone 6 Plus is not recording flights climbed correctly.

The Health app on my iPhone 6 Plus is not recording the number of flights of stairs I climb correctly.  It seems I have to go up the stairs 2 plus times before it records 1 flight climbed.  Are there any settings that I can change?

As far as we can figure out, the hardware is working, but the software isn't, and there aren't any settings to fix it:

I went into Apple Store and asked for help, and the genius said the software is not ready for production and to wait for updates.

  • My health app on my iPhone 6 plus is not displaying any info

How do I get the health app on my iPhone 6 plus to start back displaying the information?  It stopped displaying the steps, walking+running & flights climbed a couple days ago. I have turned my phone off & on several times & still nothing. The phone is calculating my steps because my "myfitnesspal" app is picking up my steps from my iPhone.

Next step would be setting it up as new device and restoring from the latest backup:

  • Health app on my iPhone 4s

How do I activate the Health app on my iPhone 4s. My husband has the new iPhone 6 and his Health app tracks his steps automatically.

Even though the Health app is (I believe) installed on the 4s, the 4s itself does not have the required hardware built-in (M7/M8 co-processor) to track movements, etc. I believe you need to use external sensors connected to the phone via Bluetooth for the motion tracking used in conjunction with the Health app

  • Health app inaccurate in recording Calorie and Carbohydrate tracking

The Health App on my iPhone 5s, iOS 8.0.2, does not record data accurately.
It doesn't matter if my input is manual or via another tracking app.
    Carbohydrates are way off.

  • HT4623 Is Health App only for iphones?

It is not really specified anywhere the the Health App is not going to appear on iPads after the update to IOS8, and I have been spending the last 2 hours trying to understand if something got wrong with my update. It looks like it is not available for iPads, at least not yet.
Also, is it normal that the total space available is diminished after the update?

Correct the Health App is iPhone only. If you mean memory space it's possible you have less because IOS 8 is the largest update so far.

  • Health app on iPhone 6 is dead

For the last two days the health app on my iPhone 6 has been displaying Steps, walking + running distance, and flights climbed as expected but now all of the data is gone and no new data is being displayed. I have tried rebooting my iPhone 6 a number of times but it has not helped. The health app is now totally dead.
    Any help?

After discussing the issue with Apple support I have restored my iPhone 6 again which seems to have corrected this issue.

  • Health App on iPhone

does the Apple Watch send data to the Health app on the iPhone. Space I went to configure it on the phone and it says go to the Apple Watch app but I can't find it anywhere on the app to start this day didn't  does the Apple Watch send data to the Health app on the iPhone. I went to configure it on the phone and it says go to the Apple Watch app but I can't find it anywhere on the app to enable this.  The Health app on the watch does not show this feature.

Yes, the watch will send data to the Health app on the phone...  steps, HR, calories, distance walked, etc.
It happens automatically once you pair your watch (not sure the frequency, but it's pretty often).
You can tell by opening the Health app on the phone and see the updated values such as HR, which wouldn't have been possible before the watch unless you had another app reading a HR monitor.

  • Health app not recognizing manual inputs

    Hi,
I've been using the Health app on my iPhone to track the number of steps I take each day (trying to do a minimum 10,000 per day as recommended by health professionals).
This morning I didn't take my phone with me when walking the dog, so manually entered an estimate of the number steps.  Once I click on OK, it updated the number of steps.
Later this morning, I noticed that the manually added steps are no longer being added to the total steps.  Checked that the data entry point was there and it was.  Deleted the data, and re-added it but made no difference - still not included.  I even turned the iPhone off and back on to see if that would make a difference.
Why is the Health app now acting this way?  I've added manual data in the past and it's been OK.
    Buff

Thanks for the feedback.  I'll give the decimal thingy a try, although I'm not sure why that might work (a fraction of a step???).  I'm just trying to find out if others are experiencing this weird issue with the Steps data set.  The manual entries continue to remain in the data set after entry, they just stop being incorporated into the displayed totals/graph.
I also note that it takes a full minute, or so, for all the data in the set to be displayed when you want to edit it.  I discovered this when I saw that my manual entry wasn't being included in the totals graph and wanted to check if my entry was still there.  It was.  So, I then deleted it and re-entered the amount with a different entry time.  That sometime worked and sometime not.  I just didn't want to leave the old non-included entry in the data set, once I got a new entry that worked.
It's nice to know the issue isn't only affecting me.  Maybe Apple will now take a look and see what's the matter.

    Hi
iDVD is not a general DVD encoding program that can handles lot's of various video and audio file types.
    No it's very picky.
What did You feed it -
Video - in what codec (.avi, .wmv, .mov  are containers no specific codecs) ?
Audio - in what file format - I only use .aiff 16-bit 48kHz as from miniDV tape Cameras - What did You use ?
If it don't play in iDVD Preview - then don't wast a DVD disk on it.
Try to Save as a DiskImage instead and test this first - if this play OK - burn DVD from this.

  • Health App: Basic Step Counting?

Do I need any external hardware to have my steps or runs measured in the health app? I can't seem to set anything up...

I have iPhone 5s iOS 8.0.2 and the steps are being counted for me. I have no other hardware for step counting.
Open health app and check health data tab -> fitness -> steps or walking + running distance
Though, if you are dissatisfied, you might search for something additional in app store.

  • Where is menstruation tracking in the health app?

Just got my iPhone 6 and was looking at the health app.  I cannot find menstruation/ovulation tracking in the app.  Am I missing it?  Or do no women or married men work at Apple?  Seems like a basic thing re: health, and one that should be included in the app.   If I am missing it, please me know where it is.

Submit your feedback directly to Apple using the appropriate link on the Feedback page:

Meanwhile, take a look at some of the other apps available in the App Store. iPeriod seems pretty good.

  • How to add iCloud app to my iPhone 5s

how to add iCloud app to my iPhone 5s

There isn't an iCloud app.  You'll find iCloud in Settings>iCloud, where you can sign in with your Apple ID to create your iCloud account (see http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html).  There is only a Find My iPhone app (available through the App store), which you can use to track your other devices from your phone.
