My Help Viewer is not working for mac help

My Help viewer is not working for mac help. Everytime i choose mac help the window opens then closes. But when i open another help like safari help it opens and works fine. If i switch it back to mac help the window just closes and the application quits.
If you know how to fix please telll!

Help viewer does not work after update to 10.4.4

Since updating to 10.4.4 my Help viewer does not work, and all of the troubleshooting fixes suggested in other threads have not had any success in resolving this. I've noted that when I go to Users>Library>Documentation>Help there is no mac.help file - can someone tell me if that means that I've lost the file altogether and need to reinstall it? I get to the first screen of the viewer, but the links from there don't work. Thanks for any help that you can provide!

Thanks for your suggestion. I downloaded OnyX and ran the cleaning function. After restarting, I opened Help and once again the first screen appeared fine. But again most of the links did not work, though those under the "What's New" heading did work. I might add that I had previously tried a variety of suggestions posted in another thread, which included deleting from the caches folder in Home>Library several files such as com.apple.helpui and help.plist in the Preferences folder. (As noted in my previous post this evening, I also created another user but that also did not have any effect.) Any other ideas? Thanks

Hi, Dave.
If you're using the BlackBerry browser, you can't configure anything to bypass the RIM servers. I believe you may do so by using the Opera browser, but I haven't tried it myself so cannot comment with authority.

you cannot use your pc license to install on a mac. you would need a separate license (and serial number) for that.
adobe allows platform swaps, but only with the latest (xi) version, Order product | Platform, language swap
your option to use acrobat on a mac are to upgrade to acrobat pro xi and change platforms, use a windows emulator (parallels/boot camp etc) on your mac or swap with a third party.

Try deleting the cache associated with the App Store..
Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store. See if that made a difference.

BPM Worklist: Searching in custom views does not work for protected flexfields !

Have mapped few protected attributes in my .task file. Also created the corresponding labels on target SOA server. I am able to create custom views using these protected flex fields.
But what I have observed is keyword based search is not working for custom views using protected fiexfields.. however it works fine with public fiexfields.
Any pointers on this? Am I missing something in the configuration?

Input Help (F4) does not work for Planning Functions in Web

Hi Gurus,
I am working in BI-Integrated Planning.
When I execute a planning function from web layout (through Web Application Designer), the "Input Help" does not work. When I give F4 it takes me to the initial planning layout screen from the planning function variable screen without any action being performed.
But the "Input Help" works fine when I have to select for the variable from the initial selection to open the planning layout.
Can anyone suggest me any fix for this...

Support for long long's are not new to 2013, by the way. They've been supported since 2009, as long as you enabled the C99 extensions option.

Itunes store not working for Mac

I have just downloaded the new itunes 10.5 and the itunes store won't open. I connect my iphone4s, and that won't connect to the itunes store either and won't update apps, or do much of anything. I've done all the software updates. Any help out there?

iTunes uses the back-side code in Safari for all its rendering of the Store, so no, there's no way around it. If you don't have the ca. forty megabytes Safari takes, then you're going to have problems with your computer - Mac OS X needs much more free space than that - so you really need to clear off some space on the drive. Then you'll be able to install the new version of Safari.

Please help -- .options method not working in MAC IE 5.0

My requirement is to dynamically populate a drop down box (combo box) in a JSP Page, using a javascript function, with some values. This happens on click of some button.
I am using the below function to populate the drop down box. This runs fine in Windows IE, but in MAC, i get a javascript error saying " 'options' is not an object". Can anybody please tell me how to go about this? Is there any other way in which i could populate a drop down box? I need this to work in both Windows and MAC. Please help!

Flash Player 10.1 not working for Mac

I recently downloaded the new flash player 10.1 for my mac and also have updated to the latest safari browser but every time i try and watch any videos or play flash games it doesn't work and i'm told to download the latest flash player. I've tried uninstalling the reinstalling and enabling the flash plugin but nothing is working. After it says that it has installed successfully which i do when all the browsers are shut and i restart the computer it doesn't work. Not sure if i've done something wrong, but this is driving me up the wall!!!! Can anyone please help me??

Hi, Sometimes the update of the Safari browser disables the Shockwave Flash plugin. Look into the HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins/ directory and see if you have: Make sure it is Enabled.

I have created 2 vo that is programatically populated from the stored procedures, which runs perfectly.
I created a view link between these 2 vo which has 1-many relationships. when i run AM then the destination VO is not getting filtered based on source vo. but it displays all records for all the records in source table. Is there any work around for this problem....?

Anyconnect not working for Mac OS X users

I have AnyConnect newly configured on my ASA 5550, running 8.2.x code; however, Mac users cannot connect using the Apple client, nor using the Cisco AnyConnect client - they are getting a "posture error" of some kind or the laptop is failing some kind of machine profiling.
Help - I have no Apple OS experience on this.

The user has an AnyConnect client installed on his Apple laptop; I wasn't aware that there was a component that needed to be installed in the ASA for AnyConnect clients to work. Am I confusing AnyConnect with another web SSL VPN application for the ASA 5550?

Help Generator is not working for sub-components

We are using modules with sub-components. The help generator is working fine, except for sub-components.
The HTML-generator does not generate bookmarks and html for the sub-components and their items.

So your report sends a email to the mailing list and the list knows what to do with the attached file??
Just confirming it is NOT a mailing list issue..
