Try a restart. If the problem is the same, try deleting the com.apple.finder.plist.
Either hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command
and select your user Library in your home folder or use the Finder “Go To Folder” command and enter ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Relaunch Finder (command - option - esc) and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the same, return the .plist to where you got them from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.
Show User Library
You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.4. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.

Could they drill down into a hidden folder on the system, zip a file, and mail that to you? Etc. -
I updated my 3GS to os5 and set up icloud and it backed it up, although, the backup says incomplete. I turned off the contacts under icloud and they are now all gone off the iphone. How do I get them back? I feel like they are in icloud, because the contacts went to another iphone i have.

First thing I think would be to do a search for the folder in case it's somehow got moved.
Failing that, you can retrieve the folder from your original installer disc using Pacifist.
Insert the disc (don't boot from it) and open the installer package with Pacifist. Navigate to the Desktop Pictures folder (might be a bit more fiddly to find in the package structure). When you find it, select the folder, right-click (or ctrl-click) and select 'install in default location' from the context menu.
Exit Pacifist and eject the disc.

This realy works??Where is the backup of the media and other important files from the computer? Ultimately, it is the users responsibility to ensure that backups exists. Waiting until there is a problem to decide to do a backup is not smart. Would you wait until a fire started in your home to call the insurance company and inquire about homeowners/renters insurance????
In the event that no backup exists (stop being lazy.... keep backups of YOUR data and other important files):
If you are in the US and running iTunes 10.3 or later, it is possible to redownload music via iCloud from purchased history.
If you are not in the US or for some reason cannot run iTunes 10.3 or later, contact iTunes customer support and ask very nicely for the opportunity to redownload the content. They are not required to provide this opportunity.
It is also possible to transfer content from an iDevice that was purchased via iTunes. On the new computer, sign into the iTunes account, authorize the computer, connect the device then select File > Transfer Purchases.
The simplest method of all is to transfer or copy the media (and other important files) from the old computer or the backup of the old computer. Typing "move itunes library" into the search bar here or into google will reveal step by step instructions on how to do this. -
After installing Windows 7 my desktop Adobe icons have change in appearance. How do I change them back?
The file icons is one on the change features MS removed from the Explorer options. Supposedly you can do the change with the registry, though I have not figured out that option. If you want to try, backup the registry first and then you might try the instructions at How to Change a File Type Icon in Windows 7 and Vista - The Winhelponline Blog. Is the iPod still singed into the account isn Settings>iTunes and App Stores and SettingsZ>iCloudl? If it is then I would not be concerned.

Did you restore your phone with itunes or check new phone. You can always reconnect with itunes and restore your phone to old settings and it should replace everything because it is on your computer

You sync your device to iTunes and resync the music.
If the music is not in your iTunes library, log in with your Apple ID & password and download your past purchases, and then resync.
Or, you can download previous iTunes purchases directly to your device, via wi-fi. -

As for syncing from the android, it is possible to add the account to the desktop and the two should merge.
