My home page opens fine but sub pages attempt to load from the local drive. Not a problem with IE.

Some time ago, while doing a bunch of things at once, FF asked me a question...not sure what it was as I was distracted by other things...I answered "yes" and since then my own website's subpages attempt to load from my C drive. This is not a problem with the homepage itself and it does not occur with other browsers. Driving me crazy and no one seems to know what is the problem...only with FireFox

http://www.questfundingservices.us is the home page which opens fine on any browser. But, in FF, any of my sub-pages attempts to open from the local drive. I believe this happens for other viewers of the site, but I am not 100% sure of that.
I never intentionally entered a <BASE local in the html and I don't think there is one, but you can check the source yourself.
This was never a problem until one day, while doing 50 things at once, I went to my website and FF popped up a question...Don't remember what it was and, in my haste I just said "yes", I think...and this problem has occurred ever since!!!

what do you have? Version of iPhoto? Of the OS? How is the passport connected to your Mac? What format is the passport (for the iphoto library it must be Mac OS extended (journaled) )? The iPhoto library is not and can not be on the cloud (maybe later with the Photos Application)

It is possible that you opened the right-click context menu and clicked the "Remove from Toolbar" item or the "Move to Menu" item.
The former moves the toolbar button to the Customize palette and the latter moves the toolbar button to the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list.
You can restore the Home button to the Navigation Toolbar via the Customize mode.
If you can't find this button then click Restore Defaults at the bottom of the Customize palette window.

Ho do I disconnect the "warning" of a web page trying to redirect from the "Firefox did not allow this page to reload"? I want the first, but not the second option.

The new firefox now does not allow many pages to reload. I must click the "allow" button and still it often does not allow a reload. I know I can disable the function, but then I must also disable the warning if a page tries to redirect to a new site. So...Why must I give up a security feature to get rid of an annoying reload issue? I want to be notified when a page tries to redirect, but I don't want an "argument" from the system every time I try to reload specific web sites. How can I keep one and disable the other?

you need to encode the href so that it can be sent as a parameter value. Otherwise it interprets the & as a standard parameter separator.
I believe the window.escape function should do this

Regarding "New Tab Page" - dragging a bookmark from the libary does not display when "+" is selected

It's maddening that I can't fix something so simple.
When I click on the "+" a new page opens with unpopulated entries for websites. I've tried the steps in "New Page Tab" and managed to drag and drop a bookmark from my "library".
The prompts look OK but the site does not appear in the vacant entry box. It looks like it should work. Is there a simple (stupid) step that I'm missing?

I want to choose what appears in the 9 boxes on the new tab screen. Why can't I click an empty box and enter the web address to be used for that box. Even if it did work, drag and drop a terrible way to do this. "Bookmarks-Add to new tabs" would be a 2 click operation. Instead some developer wanted to play with drag and drop and got it wrong. I suggest adding the simple functionality first and experiment with drag an drop later.
Also it is suggested that add-ons could stop the functionality from working. This is like saying your car won't start if you put a passenger in it. I'd guess someone just made that suggestion to try to be helpful rather than out of any actual experience of it fixing this problem.

X86 install was successful, but now I can't boot from the hard drive

I have successfully installed Solaris 10 for x86 from the bootable CD ROMs. However, now, after removing the CD-ROM from the drive and booting from the hard disk I am having problems.
The system attempts to boot. It displays the Solaris Primary Boot Subsytem v2.0 screen...pauses for 15 seconds...then reboots itself. And it continues this process.
However, if I boot to CD-ROM first, then boot to the Hard Drive, I have no problems. The CDE comes up fine.
We are running a 64 bit OS with a SATA drive that is supported. And as I mentioned, the install successfully completed.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

That file might have moved to a different location on the server. I think you'll need to check with RefWorks support or your local IT department on why the install page links do not work.

I've been working on this all day!!! I've tried everything I know of and can't get it to load either. Sounds like lots of people are having problems. Here is what I have so far...I have uninstalled EVERYTHING on my pc from apple and reinstalled itunes to no avail. I have tried all sorts of things I've read as fixes online. NOTHING has worked. Can't get any help from apple. their suppot *****! I want to get someone on the **** phone or a live chat but cant. *** APPLE????? please let mw know if you find SOMETHING i can try next. Are you sure about your FTP credentials (FTP folder and site URL) that you are using for the upload? Are you able to see the updated files in the remote directory of the FTP server, after you finish uploading the muse file, using an external FTP client like FileZilla?

My home page doesn't load when I type in the sites address:
http://www.typea.com, but does
load when I type in typea.com/Index.html.
The preview in browser works fine, and I've checked all the
links within the site and they check out okay.

Check with what default home pages and extensions are loaded
against the
server, and make sure that index.html is included as an
option.

Yes. Reinstall iTunes. If that is the point at which you stopped trying the support suggestions then it makes sense to me, that you move on to the next suggestion and if reinstalling iTunes is the next suggestion, so be it.
However .... I too have issues that arise out of the blue with my iPad being recognized in iTunes and what I always do and it eventually works is to quit iTunes, restart my MacBook, and reboot my iPad.
Rebooting the iPad is the last thing that I do and only if I have no success with quitting iTunes and restarting the Mac. It may take a few tries to work, but if you are that dead set against reinstalling iTunes, then give it a try.

Some sites automatically redirect you to a site in the local language.
There is usually a link on such websites choose a language or go to an international version that allows to chose the language.
You can click the link at the bottom of the local Google page (www.google.xx.xx) to go to the [http://www.gooogle.com/ncr "Google.com in English"] site.
You may need to hover that local Google page with the mouse to make extra content appear.
You can set the Google preferences on the [http://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en Google Search settings] page (link at the top right).
Such settings are stored in a cookie on your computer that you need to allow: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Exceptions" or Tools > Page Info > Permissions.

Not sure whether for instance you initially had a Yahoo optimised version of Firefox, and have now overwritten it with an official Mozilla version. Although the Mozilla version should NOT add unwanted features, but the Yahoo version may well do.
If you merely need to find the Yahoo emails page quickly just add it as a bookmark or as a bookmark on the Bookmarks toolbar and make sure that is visible.
Clicking the star icon on the location bar whilst looking at your emails will bookmark the page.
