My home screen is stuck the ipad keeps shutting on and off I've tried resetting it also what do I need to do to fix this

If the screen looks like it's zoomed in then try double-tapping with 3 fingers - then make sure that Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom is set 'off'

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

IPad home screen icons stuck in top left

Ok so I was playing angry birds then I quit and went to the main part of the home screen. But when I got there all of the preinstalled apps were in the top left. Intrestingly, they all worked fine, but I could position them anywhere (out of the usual restricted grid). The original icons in their original places were there, but I couldn't click on them. Although it is pretty awesome, the main home screen is pretty messy and I would like to know if there is any fix to it, since it isn't going by switching on and off etc.. Thanks for any answers in advance.

Lawrence... it's great that you're all over these forums being so helpful pointing out that the beta expired. I have ios 7 beta on my phone and have the same issue. But mine is through a developer account. I'm in the middle of trying to restore but can't when I connect to iTunes becaue I had Find My Phone activated.
So I guess I'm going into DFU mode. Should that work? And if so then Apple so called security layer of having to put in your Apple ID is dumb because anyone can still steal your phone and just restore through DFU.
Either way... you'd think Apple could do a Beta to Public release OTA update.

This firmware is expired. It cannot be used anymore. You'll need to update to the public release of iOS 6 to continue using it.
Download the firmware from Apple directly, then hold the Option key and click Restore in iTunes. Select the IPSW for the public version of iOS 6 and install that.

My ipod is showing an "activation required" message on my home screen and the slider to unlock it is not working. I've had it for 2 years and had no problems and then it randomly locked up on me and won't let me do a reset. Any way to fix this?

next thing i would think of is to ask bestbuy apple retailer or bestbuy pple to help u out from here bc im not sure what to do next if u cant get it into dfu mode.
all i can think of is to hold home and power for 30 seconds in the meantime of showing the apple sign at least once or twice.
either that, home and power flashes once and 1/2 sec later release power while holding home still and plug it in wihout trying to let go the home button. dont even let go until itunes says somthing remotly saying anything ...lol

You should purchase a 9900 instead of a 9930. The 9930 was never designed to use GSM as it's home network. The 9930 was designed for verizon and/or Sprint in the USA with GSM being available for roaming internationally.

Iphone 3g Hangs and stucks at activation Screen on update to OS 3.0

Hello Friends,
My Iphone 3g Hangs and stucks at activation Screen on update to OS 3.0.
I updated the phone to OS 3.0 last night and to my surpsrise after the OS Completely installs and restarts the phone,the phone then hangs and all i can see is a black screen when the phone is connected to PC.
As soon as i disconnect, it shows the Itunes-PC Connect image asking for activation.
Again if a connect back,it hangs and keeps on restarting ..over and over again.
i tried everything:
1) Re-Install Itunes 8.2
2) Re start OS
3) CHnage USB Cable
4) Change PC
5) Keep the phone connected for around 4 hours expecting some miracle to happen still no use.
** If i try to donwgrade back to 2.2.1 then it givess error to and not able to downgrade.
Now i have put myself in a situation wherein i had to switch to other phone.
The phone is just getting rust as there is no Support/Care center in India.
Please someone help me out.

Is any hardware part involved in activation of phone?

Close iTunes and unplug iphone
Search web and download the 2.2.1 ipsw file.
Go to device manager on PC and delete the USB option for Apple under the hardware options.
Reboot PC
Plug in iphone and wait for dreaded connection picture
hold power button and home button until apple logo appears
continue to hold home button and release power button until connection picture appears again
Your PC should now find the iphone in recovery mode
Now open iTunes and it will prompt you to restore
Hold the shift button on the keyboard and click the restore button at the same time
This will allow you to browse for the correct ipsw file
select the 2.2.1 file that you downloaded
your iphone will now restore
Once completed, you will need to resync
Now you are back to square one but at least have a phone that works
Now make an appt at the Genius Bar and make them update it for you
Mine is scheduled for next week

The phone is just stuck on the verify email screen and my mail is already verified by appleid. iv tried multiple working iTunes accounts but still no go.

Reset the phone (no data loss): press both the home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.

IMac stuck in home screen - mouse & keyboard don 't work after Apple Update

I just updated my iMac by hitting the Update button in the left upper screen.
After collecting 98.1 Mb of Update-tools i had to restart my iMac.
During shutdown it installed the components, as normal.
Once restarted, it brought me back to the home screen, where everything looked
normal. Problem is, that the iMac doesn 't respond to my mouse and keyboard anymore. Cursor is left of the apple in the left upper screen and doesn 't move an inch.
I discovered during a couple of restarts, that immediately as the apple appears in the white screen ... that Caps Lock modus is switched on. I am not able to switch it off.
Who knows what's wrong ? Please don t tell me to use my OS Tiger cd's .. because i later installed proper Leopard version, but these cd's are not with me at this moment.

Well, it is the wired keyboard and wired mouse. I tried as you told me,
but up untill now there 's no difference and everythings' still stuck ..
I tried the hardware test that you can do with CD 1 .. and everything
seems to work fine. At that point ( after startup hold D-button ) you can
control both mouse and keyboard.
When you then choose for startup from Mac OS Hardrive ... the whole problem
starts again. Caps Lock is ON ( green light ) from the moment you enter the
home screen.
The problem i have is that the original cd's that came with this imac intel duo core .. are OS Tiger. A friend of mine clean installed Snow Leopard 6.1. so i can t reinstall on a short term. I also would regret it if all my files would get lost.

I have the same problem! Let me know if you manage to sort it out. My iPad did the same thing but to full restore from iTunes sorted that out. Have you tried that? No such luck with my iPhone.

Hi, I'm having trouble with my Ipad 2. I was recently playing a game and my ipad just shut off on me. Then when I turned it back on it was stuck on the Apple Logo and it won't go to the home screen at all. I plugged it in my itunes but I don't know what to do from there. I left it charged hoping the apple logo would dissappear but it didn't and now for some reason the battery is always dead. I really need help. Does anybody have any suggestions? Please.

Did you try rebooting the iPad? You will need to have some battery power for this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

My iPod is stuck on safari and won't turn off or return to home screen

I updated my iPod touch to iOS 6 and since then I've encounntered multiple problems. My iPod is stuck on safari and I can zoom in and zoom out but that's all I am able to do, I can't turn it off nor can I go back to the home screen. I tried letting it go on low battery but it's still on. The only button that works is the volume buttons. Help please?
