my home page is ixquick.com and don't want nor use add ons .Only within the last month has this annoying tab been appearing requiring an additional keystrock every time I enter foxfire.

You can check if you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time Firefox starts.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.
You can check its content with a plain text editor (right-click: Open with) if you didn't create this file yourself.

I am the original poster, and I got rid of CA Security Suite & and loaded the Avast! which has some great features even on the freeware. No more crashes or freezing & yes I think there is a problem with CA & Firefox, but am not sure what it is. CA was a big time hog. You linked them both to the same Apple ID and thence to the same iCloud account. Don't do that.

I finally got it off,
I called IT Support
and this guy saw where it had doubled the size during the encryption, and showed me how to go in and delete,
and I was able to finally turn it off,
although it took 3 hours to do so.
but worth it.
so never will I again listen to anyone about that,
I'm done with the encryption of my machine.

The Guest Network function of the Time Capsule and AirPort Extreme cannot be enabled when the device is in Bridge Mode. Unfortunately, with another router...the Telus...upstream on your network, Bridge Mode is indicated as the correct setting for all other routers on the network.
If you can replace the Telus gateway with a simple modem (that performs no routing functions), you should be able to configure either the Time Capsule or the AirPort Extreme....whichever is connected to the modem....to provide a Guest Network.

You cannot call anyone. You contact them as everyone else does: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
You delete the app as you do any other app. Hold an icon until they wiggle. Tap the "x". This is covered in the manual.

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

You need a Time Machine backup to restore an old version. If you don't have one, you'll lose your library because it can only be used with iTunes 11
