My homepage is totally screwed up and unuseable

My homepage is att.my.yahoo.com. Yesterday the homepage became all a big mish mash of various links but not anything useable. I tried Safari, and my home page is correct.

In case Norton messed up your profile too much you can create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

I am somewhat new to iOS and OS having grown up with DOS and Windows. I am not familiar with IMAP and iCloud and I am not even sure which types of servers my various emails use.
The problem I would anticipate with iCloud is that (I assume) it would limit my access to data (including mail) on the iCloud to when I happen to be logged onto the internet. I also assume(?) that large files (photos etc.) would require some time to download whenever I wish to access them from whichever device I happen to be using (I hope I am wrong about this).
I have kept my devices to 500gb - 1TB for OS and 32gb - 128gb for iOS but since I have pretty slow WiFi (shared with DirecTV Whole Home and Netflix streaming) it is my impression that iCloud might be quite limited due to data transfer times.
Perhaps a factor would be that I have 2 DSL lines and my main DSL line is connected to two wireless routers (to also provide WiFi in a metal building that blocks WiFi and Cellular signals)
I may be totally wrong in my assumptions regarding iCloud. My mail is not so urgent that I need access to it instantly and I could wait until I had internet access or I can get it on my iPhone. My main concern with iCloud would be my data files (Word, Pages, Excel, Numbers etc.).
On the other hand, if I wanted to keep my 10,000 emails that would take up a lot of iCloud memory and I don't know how to measure how much storage it would take or how to move Hotmail or even iCloud mail to iCloud.
It may take me some time to figure this out.

An update: This morning, I got a call from from Verizon support saying the problem had been fixed. I tried -- it wasn't fixed. So I gave tech support a call, I allowed them to remotely drive my PC so they could see for themselves that I still had the problem. After that, the tech support guy gave me a work-around for the problem; a new URL to bypass the verizon home page and go directly to the calling features settings. So, at least now, I can view/adjust the settings for my home phone. The tech support guy was helpful and at least now, I have a work around.

Mail V. 2.1.3 (753.1) acts totally weird, formatting totally screwed up

A few days ago I installed a Type 1 font (Helvetica Fractions) and it showed up unwanted in my mail.
So I disabled that font again and everything was good again. — A day later suddenly all mail settings were totally screwed up: The header takes half the screen (it looks like the fonts use a 500% line spacing); the interface graphics (blue bubbles, arrows etc. don't show); making the text larger or smaller acts weird (command+ makes it smaller, command- also, using the size panel 9pt makes it larger, 18pt and all others make it smaller); text lines are endless, images huge; copied and inserted text come as one word, has all blanks eliminated. — Tried all settings and preferences to no avail.
What to do? Re-install? How?

Calculating the total in alv and displaying the date

Verizon Makes $90 screw-up and tells us it's our fault

I have a family plan with myself, my wife, my mom and dad. Last December my Dad got a new phone and had it activated at the verizon store. He also opted for the 6.99 Asurion insurance. After leaving he kept getting calls from people asking for my wife. He went back to the Verizon store and they realized they screwed up and activated his phone with the wrong number (my wife's). They fixed this and he went on his way.
Fast forward 11 months to November and my dad's phone gets broken. No worries, he has the fancy insurance so he goes to use it and he is told his phone has no insurance at all. I start looking into it and realize for the past 11 months his 6.99 insurance was going on my wife's phone from when verizon screwed up. I call verizon the first week of November and am told they will try to get Asurion to swap the plan to his phone and to call back in a few days. A few days later I call and explain the situation all over again to a very helpful lady but it's obvious nothing was done on the previous call. They said they will NOW submit the claim to Asurion but they didn't expect the insurance company to accept the claim (Why should they? Verizon is the one who screwed up).
I called today to find out Asurion had denied the claim (no surprise). I then said the very least they could do is refund us the money we've been spending for insurance on that phone (approx $90) that was never applied to the right phone due to their screw-up. They called later in the day to say they would only refund 3 months worth because we should have been checking our bill. I do check my bill when there are overages but excuse me I didn't think to check for Verizon's screw-ups! So their screw-up is now my fault!
Are there any other avenue's I can pursue to file a complaint to get back the money Verizon took from me for a service I never asked for (insurance on my wife's phone)?

Ya. I had found my bank screwed up over 3 years ago and it ended up costing me like $150 over those years, but they only went back 3 months and refunded me like $18. When I requested to withdraw every penny they sent me over to a V.P. for customer retention that asked me what he could do to keep me. I said give me my $132 you stole. He said no. I got my money and left that bank forever and told everyone I knew. The banks still there and I still tell my story. I'm sure it's cost them thousands of dollars of those that didn't get accounts there but apparently they didn't care.

Will someone tell me what happen to my play list and how I can restore or get it back! Apparently, apple for the second time to screw up and delete all my music again!!!

Will some explain why apple for the second time manage to screw up and delete "all my play lists and music again"! How can I restore it or get my music back... If I can't get my music back the way it was the last time I used itunes I will sale both my ipod touches!!!

Just what were you doing when it happened?
Just sync it from your iTunes library.
You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

Can't back-up new iMac with fusion HD. The back-up proceeds to within 10% of the total storage needed and then the "of" number increases. I suspect there is a problem with backing up the fusion drive. We have a new 3 TB time Capsule. Any ideas?

When you setup the wireless and ethernet in the computer.. ipv6 will be on automatic.. this is wrong for the latest TC firmware and airport utility. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4597
Go to the wireless and ethernet setup in preferences and change ipv6 to link local.
Once you do the big backup by ethernet the wireless will function fine for incremental.. it is obviously not estimating the size correctly..
A full back-up on the iMac would be about 650 GB. The partial updates that I have been trying start out at 115MB and keep growing indefinitely. The original back-up never finished nor have any of the follow-up attempts.
The first estimate should be the full backup but it will keep growing as the backup advances.. I would also delete any inprogress files to make sure it is not messing up .. delete even a sparsebundle if there is one for the imac on the TC and start afresh once you have ethernet connection.

Pondini may have some other clues there to give you an idea of why the backup is slow or not finishing.. there is a lot of issues with TM when it decides not to work.

Everything was fine before I upgraded that *#$%* Yosemite.

Can we show total enrolled employee and employee no field as well

guys
we are using oracle Learning Administrator 11.5.10,i have two query for enrollment screen in self service page,one is regarding total count show of enrolled employee ,because we have to count manually no of participant instead of automate,and 2nd one is ,we need to show to employee no field as well,right now we can't understand by name becuase in same case may appear name duplicate,

When we go in class detail ,where we can see information about the class like tile ,calass location etc,at the left sied of top there are four option link which are,
Clasee
Enrollments
Resource Booking
Learner Access
But when we click to entrollment link system display all enrolled employee those who pertain that class,after appearing enrollment page ,there is not field(Total enrolled employee) and we have to count manually. How can we display total filed at the bottom.
second query is,we need to display employee no field as well,is there any possibility,

Total Payable, Balances and Information Elements in SOE

Hi All,
In the SOE report, I am unable to see Total Payable(difference of Total Earnings and Total Deductions), Balances and Information elements.
Can anyone please tell me how to get those in the SOE.

If you have configured the values at your BG - SOE Information/SOE Detail Information level properly, I don't see any reason why you cannot see it.
Just try adding different elements/balances and see if those are picked on the SOE.
If you still cannot get through, Please log an SR/contact oracle support.

How come Mac OS X's Software Update doesn't show a total time ETA and size?

Hello.
I noticed when downloading big updates from Mac OS X 10.5's Software Update, it doesn't show the TOTAL time left and size. It only shows the individual updates (e.g., iTunes). Is there a way to show the totals especially when downloading takes forever?

I have a 25 song playlist that is around 2 hours on my computer appears as 2003 minutes on my iPad. It's a smart playlist limited to 25 songs if that makes any difference. Is this happening to anyone else? Any help would be appreciated!

First make an iCal backup, File > Export > Archive.
Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
__NOTE: Removing these files will remove any shared (CalDAV) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.
Once the computer is back up and running open iCal and test.

Is there a Report showing PO total order quantity and value ??

Hi
Can we get the report in which the Purchase order and its total order quantity and total order value is displayed.
I mean, if we execute ME2N, display list should NOT show the whole list of items listed. Instead, I want the total order value and total order quantity of the PO document.
Are there any transaction codes available..........

You have create a report layout for your specific requirement. As there are different material in a PO so to get the Quantity at header level is not possible with standard variant.
Just only workaround is use any of the reports ME2L, ME2M and ME80, ME80FN (prefer ME2N with ALV) then sort the report Purchase Document wise and then select the subtotal at Purchasing document in layout sort order option. Also select summation for Quantity and net price fields, so now you have all the subtotal at Purchase Document level.
After that go to Settings > Define Totals Drill Down and select Purchasing document. So you have report in your required format.
