My homepages go back to my old default, no matter what changes I make to them in options - how do I fix this?

I have tried many different combinations; not even the "restore to main default" button works. No matter what I do, the same set of homepages comes up the next time I load Firefox. I know there is a way to fix this - it happened to me once before, years ago - but I can't find the solution I used last time. (It might have been a mozdev page, but I didn't have any luck there, either.) I just installed Firefox 3.6.15 today, and tried again, still no luck. I've been messing with this for months now, trying to come up with a solution - please help?

Thank you so much cor-el, that did the trick. Getting rid of the user.js file was all it took. I knew the answer was a simple one, I just couldn't find it. I think I just wasn't asking the right questions.

I've had Itunes since the original ipod came out, I have upgraded to the new version, and upgraded my Ipod to and Ipod Touch, but I can't get the music I already purchased from the old Itunes to play/sync in my new itunes or ipod. How do I fix this?

I have the new version of Itunes and have upgraded from 1st gen. Ipod to 4th gen. Ipod touch, I am unable to sync all my music from my old Itunes to my new Ipod, also when I try to play the music on the computer through Itunes it says it needs to be authorized but keeps using my Old email account (which I don't have anymore) for me to authorize, is there a way to fix/ change this so I don't have to buy that music over again?

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?

My default fonts are all in Bold in most software now. How do I fix this?

So I installed in a large batch about 1,000 some fonts. I found my old font collection and got WAY to excited. Now however, most applications (Safair, TextEdit, Mail) chose to use a bold verison of Arial instead of regular Arial and when I change the default to specifically detail regular Arial it instead chooses a random font, I don't even remember the name of.
I've tried messing around in FontBook, turning things off and on..... but then I don't have Arial and every single webpage anywhere uses Arial as a default and so the usability is all off.
Any suggestions?

At least one of the fonts you installed is causing a font conflict. Very common with free fonts. A handful (by percentage) of free fonts are well made. The vast majority are less than useless.

Iphoto seems to be deleting old (several years old) images that hav the same name as new images being loaded. how can i fix this?

I was browsing some old photos in iPhoto11 and started getting 'image not found' errors. After much investigation, rebuilding thumbnails and extracting photos using fatface iphoto library manager it seems that newer photos with the same name as very old photos (Canon camera naming scheme IMG_nnnn.jpg) have caused the old photos to be deleted? I thought iphoto handled this situation but it seems not.
I never got any error or warning messages on importing the newer photos. Naturally the old ones have been in there for years and were originally imported using older versions of iphoto.
As it happens I do have all these old photos stored elsewhere so its not a case of panicking but I could do with a solution going forwards.
Has anyone else encountered this (and of course if so how did you resolve it?)

Every new import to iPhoto goes into a new folder on the HD, so no, iPhoto doesn't overwrite older images with the same filename.
Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.

Back button doesn't work due to multiple history entries for the current page. How can I fix this problem?

This problem started February 2015. I have noticed it mostly while searching ebay. When I hit the back button it did not work. I right clicked the back button and found at least 2 and sometimes up to a dozen duplicate history entries for the current page I am on, meaning I would have to click the back button a dozen times to get to the previous page. I am using Firefox 35.0.1 on a Vista computer. I have not found any fix for the problem after searching the internet for hours. I have seen similar issues with people using IE and some say the duplicate entries are caused by banner ads but still no one has provided a good answer or fix for the problem. Please help.

Backing up your device only stores camera roll photos in the backup. You can't access individual files in the backup, you can only restore them to your device by restoring the backup. Also, if you backed up to iCloud the backup wouldn't be on your PC.
If you want to transfer camera roll photos to your PC, either import them using your usb cable (as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) or use photo stream.

Which albums are you trying to add them to ? You should be able to add them to new albums that you've created directly on the iPad, but you can't add photos to albums that were synced from a computer.

It sounds like you're unexpectedly seeing the incorrect Apple ID on your iPhone 5s. You can use these steps to sign out of iCloud on your iPhone 5s and sign in with the right Apple ID:
iOS 6 and later: Go to Settings > iCloud.
If you're still signed in with your previous Apple ID:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account [Sign Out in iOS 8.] Depending on what iCloud options are turned on, you'll be asked to confirm that you want to delete data from your device. To confirm, tap Delete. (If you're using iOS 7 and have Find My iPhone turned on, you'll be asked to enter the password for your previous Apple ID. Enter the password, then tap Turn Off.) The data will be deleted from your device, but not from iCloud.
Enter your current Apple ID to sign in. The data from your iCloud account will download again to your device.
