My hosting for one of my websites went blank..

I have a monthly membership with Adobe Cloud...
I have tons of space to run more domains..
But yesterday I did forward the name servers from Godaddy to Adobe...   and today I can't view my website at night after working on it all day...
Godaddy says that Adobe is at fault for not viewing my domain...
How do I know what is wrong with it??
I could view it just fine Thursday morning, and Thursday night it was forward to an old address I had it going...

    have spent over 3 hours on this, and double checked
    everything, even with ISP to make sure my host address is correct.
    I can connect to the host address via other programs and ftp

    can create NEW connections too, but not to this one site that I can

    Adobe provides a test FTP server for these purposes. You can read about it here -

    Try setting up a connection to that server and see if you can connect.

    If you look at Settings > iCloud on each phone, is the Account different? The Apple ID listed there should control iCloud storage allocation.  [I assume your "icloud purchase" was more storage capacity.]
    The Apple ID is separately specified to control iMessage, iTunes and App Store purchases, etc.

    I was working on iweb and the contents in my website went blank. I followed all of Old Toad's suggestions (seen below) but it didn't work.  What else can I try?
    Try the following:
    delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home()/Library/Preferences folder.
    go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
    launch iWeb and try again.
    If that doesn't help continue with:
    move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
    launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
    go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder anddelete the new domain file.
    move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
    launch iWeb and try again.

    No , I don't think that is the problem. I publish the page many times before and now only after this mobile me launch I am unable to publish that page. when will all this be done and when will I be able to publish my page. How do everyone knows that this is even a mobile me problem. Does anyone knows what is going on. The error reads like this when I am publishing:

  • Resetting my resolution, MY SCREEN WENT BLANK!

    I was checking to see what was the highest resolution i can set my monitor to and it would seem to work. when i got to one setting, the screen went blank and the montor it self said something about being out of range. the screen now stays blank and cant get it to come back on to change the setting to something i can see anymore. I have restarted the computer and can see the loading screen but just bfore it goes to the desktop, the screen cuts off again. is there some kind of "safe mode" or way i can get things to work again? right now i cant use the computer at all being i cant see anything

    There is a safe-boot mode: hold down the shift-key during startup; this may actually take longer than a normal boot, so don't worry.
    If that doesn't work, you could try resetting your PRAM: hold the commandoption+pr keys during boot, and wait for three chimes (to be safe). Then let go and let it boot. This should restore to the default screen resolution.
    By the way, I've done the same thing, and sometimes the only way to get it back is to connect a different monitor that has a higher resolution than what you're testing. Sometimes, using the up-arrow key will change the resolution back to a previous (lower) selection.

  • Help, IPAD Air 2 apps locked than screen went blank.

    Was unable to access any of the apps on my IPAD 2 after using for a few minutes this afternoon.  Tried turning it off to see if that would fix the problem but now the screen is blank. I've tried holding down the sleep/on button for a minute.  Screen came back for 2 seconds and than went blank.  Tried charging and hitting home and the sleep/on button with no success.  Any suggestions on how I might fix this?  Product is barely 2 months old and has been very gently used.

    Can I open a port range in the firewall for one host?  In other words, I want to be able to open ports 54001 to 54050 to allow one remote host in my LAN to access that port range in my Mac Server.  Is this possible?  Currently, the only option I see is to open individual ports for all external hosts (eg http or https)

    Which version of OS X Server are you using?
    Server 2.2 and earlier includes an interface to a software firewall that can be configured to open specific ports very easily. Descriptions of how to configure the firewall can be found in the documentation for these versions.
    Server 3.x no longer has an interface to the software firewall - it is still there, but you need to use other methods do configure it.  A popular example of such a method is the icefloor utility.
    Apple suggest that for Server 3 you delegate firewall duties to an external router.  Server 3 includes the ability to configure the firewall component of Apple Airport routers 'automatically'
    if you connect a machine running Server 3 directly to an Airport Router the router appears in the LH pane in the Server.app window (usually second line, below the entry for the server itself), and you can control what services are 'enabled' through the firewall there.
    a more common solution perhaps is to use a non-apple router, and configure the firewall (and so open specific ports) through whatever control interface is provided for that router.  There are many many kinds of hardware router you could use, and the control interfaces used vary widely - so you will have to consulting the documentation for your own router to work out how to do this.
    If you post information about your software versions, and hardware configuration, it is possible that you can get more specific help with the tasks involved in opening the ports.

    The DVD format (MPEG-2) isn't appropriate for Web use.
    Use QuickTime and H.264 video codec with AAC audio. Size the file at 320X240 (best fit for your old file).

    Thansk for the reply King_Penguin...let me elaborate and see what you think...I had the ipad2 in the office and saw the battery was getting really low.  I tried charging it with the iphone charger (connects to my pc at work).  It took a while, but it got enough juice in the ipad2 to bring it back to life.  when I got home, I hooked it up, and got to about 50%.  All was fine, then I was attempting to hook it up to my TV with the AV adapter (or VGA adapter, whatever it is), left the ipad alone for a minute, came back to it, and that's when it went dark.  I tried the home/sleep buttons, but only for about 5 seconds...any other suggestions in case that doesn't work?  Thanks again...

  • 2 computers & 2 Websites for one iMac Account/one iDisk, strange issues

    Hi. I know this looks like a long post but PLEASE bear with me and read on, I am in desparate need of advice.
    My husband and I share one .mac account, which we've had for a couple of years now. We've used it to publish countless homepage pages with movies and pictures with no problem.
    We have 2 computers in the house. The desktop is an iMac (dome base) and the other is an iBook. With iLife '05 and homepage, editing pages was not a problem from either computer. That's the beauty of .mac and iDisk, right?
    Now, with iWeb, we have an issue. I built a website with podcast using iWeb and Garage Band (thanks to help from advice here) and even successfully puchased a domain name and redirected it to that site. I worked on the desktop.

    Just after I finished and pointed the domain name, my husband created another website for school. (He is a teacher.) He used iWeb and the iBook laptop. His can be found here:

    NOW, HERE'S THE PROBLEM
    When I open iWeb on the desktop, only my site shows up in the site organizer bar. When he opens iWeb on the laptop, only his site shows up in the organizer bar.
    Yet, any time I try to make a change to my page, these things now happen:
    1. The changes look like they are applied before publishing
    2. Publishing upload bar appears as normal
    3. "Announce/Visit" window that pops up points to HIS website, not mine
    4. When I go to my website on my own by typing in domain name, no changes are shown
    5. His site does not point to any of my pages and seems to work fine.
    Please note, when I go to the .mac homepage and log in, all my homepage sites are still listed... but NEITHER iWeb site is listed!

    Problem as I see it is you can't do what you are doing. But let me get it right before I start, you say you are redirecting your site from your own domain name, therefore I assume you are still publishing it to .mac and so is your husband.
    iweb makes a local copy of your site on your mac, which is updated everytime you save, but when you publish it sends data to .mac (straight to it-if you have a local copy of your idisk on your mac, it doesn't put it there)
    All the data you publish goes in a folder called 'Web' (your old homepage stuff goes in a folder called 'Sites'), inside the folder called 'Web' is another folder called 'Sites' (nothing to do with your homepage 'Sites' folder) and inside that is another folder called 'iWeb', this is where all your data goes when you publish.
    When you publish, iWeb creates more folders which it puts in the 'iWeb' folder, (there is likely more than one folder it creates, but that is not relevant for the moment) all your files are placed in these folders except one, which is placed directly in the 'iWeb' folder. This file is called 'index.html', it is always called this, because this is how browsers find your 'home' or start page.
    You may now be able to see what's coming. When your husband publishes his pages, his iWeb also creates a file called 'index.html' which his iWeb also wants to put in the iWeb folder. Result is it overwrites yours, there is no way around this the way you are doing things.
    I would suggest sharing a domain file between you, but since your husband appears to need to work on his site at the same time but in a different location, you would be unable to share it, so I won't even go there.
    There are a couple of workarounds, but I would be inclined for one of you to publish to a folder and upload manually to a folder you have manually created in the 'iWeb' folder on .mac (with a unique name)
    In this example I will use the folder name 'Charlotte'.
    So your husband (say) continues to publish as normal. You mount your idisk and create 'Charlotte', i.e. iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/Charlotte, when you are ready to publish, go to the file menu and choose 'publish to a folder'. It will ask you for a URL, you would type in 'http://web.mac.com/elmhead/iWeb/Charlotte' and you would choose a folder (say) on your desktop (say called 'my site') to publish to.
    Once you have published you would need to upload everything inside 'my site' to your .mac account, which you could do by placing everything inside 'my site' into Web/Sites/iWeb/Charlotte on a local copy of your idisk and syncing or use something like 'transmit' or 'captainftp'
    You would get to your husbands site from the address he is using now, you would get to yours using 'http://web.mac.com/elmhead/iWeb/Charlotte', you would also need to redirect to this address from your new domain name.
