My HP Officejet 6500A WIll not print in Color

Hi, I have a HP Officejet 6500A wireless printer. I changed all of the color cartridges, and now cannot get it to pront any colors at all. ANy feedback will be appreciated.

I understand your Officejet 4622 will not print wireless. I will do my best to assist you! First, I would like to ask you a couple of questions to clarify: When you installed this printer on your computer, were you able to print a document? Did the installation state it had a successful wireless connection?

What is your operating system on your computer? Windows or Mac?

Windows 8.1 and officejet 6110xi - Will not print but scans okay?

Today Jan 5th, 2014 installed Windows 8.1 on my dell desktop.
Now the HP officejet 6110xi will not print.
The scan mode seems to work.
I have tried all of the HP work-a-rounds but no luck!

Is this issue happening on all 4 machine that you have installed the Officejet 8620 on?
Please download and install the HP Print and Scan Doctor and let me know the outcome of each test performed. Please run this on all of the computers the printer is installed on if the issue is occurring.
You will see a wrench, a yellow exclamation mark, a red X, or a check mark next each tested item.

Is the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or a surge protector? (It is best to connect directly to the wall)
Do you have any other HP Printers installed on these computers? If so, do you still have the printer(s)?
Is this an HP laptop or a different brand?

HP Officejet 4630 Will Not Print, despite empty spool

I can not get my printer to print from my laptop, nor my desktop. The print job goes to the printing que and shows it "printing", then "0" documents left to print. Where is it printing? Not at my printer, that's for sure! I have uninstalled the printers (in the 'printers and devices') and reinstalled via usb. I have rebooted the printer (unplugged, waited, plugged back in), rebooted my computers, and rebooted the network. I can not print from the network, nor via usb. I ran the troublshooting printer wizard, still nothing. I'm still running Windows 8.1. Help? -Lyons

Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand that your HP Officejet 4630, will not print wireless to your laptop. I am happy to help you with this wireless issue! I have some questions for you:
What Operating System are you using? Windows or Mac? What version?
Is the power cable plugged into a surge protector or directly to the wall outlet? Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
Is your printer's firmware up-to-date? Getting the Latest Firmware and Printer Updates.
In the meantime, try printing a Network Configuration Page. Printing a Network Configuration Page. Look for an IP Address, place it into a browser's address bar, and see if it can bring up the Embedded Web Server.
Also if you are using Windows, please try our HP Print and Scan Doctor, and let me know what happens.

I read your post about one of your computers will only print black and white, and not in color. I am writing you back to make my suggestion to you.
I would suggest trying these steps to hopefully get the color printing again: Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Deskjet 3050A (J611) All-in-One Printer Series
If everything appears to work fine from that guide, and you still cannot print in color, try running the Print and Scan Doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for any conflicts that could be causing the issue. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there was a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.
Please keep me posted with your results and I will help out some more if needed!

HP Laserjet 300 Color MFP m375nw will not print in color

My HP Laserjet 300 Color MFP m375nw will not print in color. First it would not even print (has something to do with Google Chrome). I uninstalled the program and tried to reinstall the program but it will not complete the whole installation process. Says it has an error, took to long to run. But the Printer is in the DEVICE section, but not in the PROGRAMS on the Control Panel. When I go to print now, I press (Ctrl, Shift, P) and it will on print in Black no Color. If I go to print the normal why and select, I hit Print and then it ask to select a Printer and there is no Printer to select.

OJ Pro 8625 will not print in color only shades of gray

Printer was purchased two days ago. The printer will not print in color only black and shades of gray. alignment test on 2/28/15 showed color. cartridges show full.

I saw your post about how you cannot print in color, and I would like to refer you to try the steps I previously recommended in another thread. The printer itself prints in color, therefor there is most likely settings on your Mac that need to be changed.

My Photosmart C6280 will not print in color.All ink levels are good. Factory defaults clicked. Did I override something without realizing it? I don't see anywhere to click for grayscale. I am using an APPLE AIR....I have also turned the printer off and on again..

I read about how you cannot print or copy in color. Not copying in color is concerning, as the copy is a stand alone function that does not involve the computer in any way.
I'd suggest power resetting the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
You can also remove the ink cartridges and reinsert them and try a color copy again to see if that helps.
If the troubleshooting does not help resolve your issue, I would then suggest calling HP's Technical Support to see about further options for you, such as a replacement or trade in. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and if you are calling outside of the US/Canada region,: click here.

My HP B210e will not print in color.

My HP B210e will not print in color. It does not copy in color either. I have added all new cartridges and the levels read good. Any help with this will be much appreciated.

Photosmart c4780 will not print in color

Brand new to forums... I am using a MacBook Pro, OS 10.6.8. I recently bought a used photosmart c4780. The owner said it only prints black. When I set everything up, it wouldn't print at all, as the black ink was depleted. I replaced the black cartridge and now it prints. However, even though the color supply levels are at about half full, it will not print in colorI receive no error messages. Have tried different settings in the Print dialog options to no avail. Have not been able to find anything online that addresses this exact issue within the parameters as I've described them. Any help appreciated.

Thank you for the information. From this it sounds as though the issue is with the preference files for the printer are taking over. There are some long steps that need to be taken.
To start off, you will need to reset the printing system of the Mac. Now if you have more than one printer, you can skip this step. If you only have the one printer, I have included the document 'OS X Mavericks: Reset the printing system' http://bit.ly/1bS2qrh.
After this you will need to uninstall the software. Again if you have more than one HP printer installed, please just go with the normal uninstall. If you only have the one HP printer, to do a full uninstall of the software, please follow the steps below.
1. Open the HP folder in the Application folder
2. Open up the HP uninstaller
3. On the page that has you click the uninstall button. Hold Control, Option, and Command, then click uninstall. NOTE: if you have more than one HP printer just click uninstall, without holding down the three keys.
4. Follow through the rest of the uninstall
The next step needs to be done either way. This step is the verify and repair of the disk permissions. I have included the document 'Disk Utility 12.x: Repair disk permissions' http://bit.ly/1bjFnnP. After the repair of the permissions has been completed, please restart the Mac.
Once the restart has completed, you will need to reinstall the software. I have included the link to 'HP ENVY 120 e-All-in-One Printer Full Feature Software and Drivers - OS X 10.9 Mavericks' http://bit.ly/1emTqaj. Please make sure that you either choose recommended install, or all the extra features, such as scanning.
Now once you have the software successfully installed, please click on the Apple Icon, and then on Software Update. Please install all updates that are available to you.

Officejet 6500A Plus not printing in colour in Mavericks

I have an Officejet 6500A Plus that is currently not printing in colour. I'm using Mac OSX 10.9.3. The printer used to print colour when I had a wireless connection but this was very temparamental connecting and got worse when Mavericks appeared so I decided to use a USB connection. To do this I had to uninstall all the HP software and then reinstall the printer as a USB printer. Everything works fine scanning and printing, but it will not print in colour. The HP help says to make sure Apple Software is up to date which it is and everything should work, but it doesn't. I'm unable to install the HP software that orginally came on disk as it wont work with Mavericks and there doesn't seem to be any useful help from HP - will this ever work again?

I see by your post that you aren't able to print in color on the Maverick since uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers. I can help you with this issue.
I checked online and the drivers for Maverick are from the Apple Updates.
OS X v10.9 Mavericks: Installing and Using the Printer on a Mac.
Check the driver name that is installed for the printer. The Airprint driver might be installed instead of the Printer's driver. (usually defaults to Airprint)
Click the Apple menu and then click System Preferences. Click Printers & Scanners, highlight the printer name on the left side and on the right side of the screen it should show the name.
If the printer name shows Airprint then that is the Apple drivers, delete it and add the printer name back in from the list. Click the - sign to delete the driver and then click the + sign to add the driver, you might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name to add it in.
Try printing a document in color again.

OfficeJet 4500 will not print two sided over network

I'm running on Windows 7 with an OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z over WiFi. Printer works great except that it will not print two sided. We've used a non-WiFi 4500 to print two sided before. With the new printer the first pages print and the pop-up shows on the laptop (prompt to flip paper over) but nothing happens. The second pages never print.
I've run all of the HP print and network diagnostics. Everything appears to be OK.

The solution below was found on the sticky post at the top of this board "Fixes and Workarounds from HP"
I think the patch below only applies if you have the original printer software installed, I assume this issue was fixed in later versions of the printer software, Read the patch information carefully.

This Print Driver Update contains improvements for issues related to the following applications and/or print functionality:
