My hpofficejet6500Aplus will not keep a wirless connection and halh of the time the computer cannot
I have a hpoffice6500Aplus710n Three in one. Since I have had it Ive had printing problems with. Half of the time the wireless network feature does not work. Then I mtry to hook it up so that it can print using the Usb cable. The computer more often then not is unable to communicate with the printer. Every hp printer I have owned I have had trouble with in one way or another Now Im afraid I m going to scratch this hp printer. If I do this will be the last Hp printer I will ever own. My frustration with HP printers has come to this point I think I should return to kodak I have had almost zero problems with them. So this is a last ditch effort to get some. Every test everytninf on my computer tells me its working properly and that is not true as I can not get in toes. So if I cannot get the wireless running and stay running Im scraping HP forever. I'm printing from a MacBook Pro using OSX Lion. It says that Officejet Pro 8600 Plus is connected and that the print jop is
100% complete except that nothing comes out of the printer. I've done all of the test prints and they've printed just fine.
I tired all of the troubleshooting steps listed on the support guide and still nothing. HELP!Not a reply but another plea for help.
There seem to be so many people with wireless problems that a) it seems silly to start a new thread and b) which one to enter my own plea.
-Printer bought about 2~3 weeks into Sept 2012
-Installed onto Macbook Pro running Lion (full updated at that time)
-Both wireless scanning from printer to computer and initiated from computer worked fine.
-Printer, with full choice of duplex, layout etc, worked fine. (Even left 5star feedback somewhere!)
-Set up eprint. That OK, too. Fine from iPad2 and SE Arc S printing photos.
-Somewhere along the line it stopped communicating with my MBP
-Out of interest, since there seemed to be no problems with an Acer laptop running Vista, I booted the MBP from an external drive on which I'd done a backup of my 10.6 system iMac (>300Km away: can't try that). Installed HP software from disc. Seemed fully functional. Odd. Very odd.
-Restarting with Lion on MBP, tried again. Looks as if it might work, but loses connectivity. Tried manual address on printer.
-Booting from 10.6 system again, reinstalled Lion on MBP (wondering if conflict between HP and Apple updates)
-Reinstalled HP software from disc.
Still didn't work.
-Brought Lion up to date. Downloaded most recent dmg file from HP. Looked for updates. Have applied firmware update to printer
8600 doesn't list my MBP as available computer to scan to
[But all the test pages done whilst in HP Utility, and others, get sent through]
Am getting rather fed-up with all this; never, ever before have I had so much printer problem.
There seem to be a number of Lion users out there with the same problem. So far -but very infrequently tried- other machines/systems seem OK, therefore I am coming to the conclusion that it is an Apple<> HP conflict. If not sorted soon the printer will be returned as it is not fit for purpose. I'll revert to using my seldom problematic, non duplex A3 Brother.

first: why did you download the iOS Beta 8? If you are a developer, go to the Apple Developers website and check what they can do for your case.
second: setup an appointment to a Genius Bar for service. -
my iphone 4s will not charge or be recognized when plugged into the computer after the ios 5.1.1 software update why is this? i have used many usb cords also.
Had same problem and did the normal reset 10seconds but did not work.
I plugged in USB and held the on/off switch and home button for 20seconds and the "Connect to Itunes" came on the screen. I then opened up Itunes and it directed me to restore. -
My ipod touch 4will not respond unless I hook it up to the computer. It never goes pasthe logo apple screen.It never restores fully. Cant tell if this is a screen or software problem.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

My ipod keeps connecting and disconnecting from the computer
I've tried everything, first my ipod kept displaying the folder with the exclamation mark, then a couple of days ago started working again. It then wouldn't play any songs and just kept skipping. So I plugged it into my computer to restore it so I could start again. Now its displaying the folder with the symbol again, and just keeps connecting and disconnecting all the time so I can't do anything to it. Keep trying the ipod updater but says it cant mount ipod.

I've been experiencing the same problem, but have managed to get it sorted.... well sort of.
As Jen's problem, I had the exclamation mark and after unsuccessfully trying to update etc decided to leave it out of frustration.
A day or so later it started to work again, great!!!
A few days of problem free use then I got the sad Ipod screen.
After checking the website I've restored and I'm now a week later and still trying to get my music from Itunes onto my Ipod.
The problem now, once again very similar to Jen's is that my Ipod only seems to connect to my PC for period of time and then disconnects, sometimes updating a few songs.
I get different 'Unknown Error' messages usually -124.
I've tried with both USB and Firewire connections and even when my Ipod disconnects it still charges, so it's not the port at fault.
Can't help but think it's the actual Ipod which is causing me this hassle and musicless journeys!!!

Preview will not print 8.5" x 14", only when the computer feels like it
This problem has gone on for too long and I don't know what else to do. I have flyers that I cannot print because preview refuses to recognize the document size correctly and consistantly, and I have no other program that can print to our copier.
This happens with any PDF that is not 8.5" x 11". Both 8.5" x 14" and 11" x 17" exhibit the same problem. First I open a PDF in Preview, then I change the document size in Page Setup to "US Legal" and scale of 100% (the scale is always wrong because it is automatically resizing the document to fit on 8.5" x 11"). Then I go to print, check under Paper Handling and under Destination Paper Size is says "Use documents paper size: US Letter". This does not change no matter how many times I visit Page Setup and no matter how many times I save and re-save the file.
At random it will recognize the document size as "US Legal", but this happens only when the computer feels like it, at least that's what it seems like because there are no other settings that are different between one file and another that would cause it to print one as Letter and the next one as Legal.
Some PDFs are created in Photoshop, while other are created in Acrobat. I cannot print directly from Acrobat because of some weird problem with our copier; I cannot print from any Adobe CS3 software.
I don't know what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated.com.apple.print.custompapers.plist didn't exist on my machine, but com.apple.Preview.plist did. I moved it to the desktop as you suggested, opened the files in Preview and this time it worked. Thanks so much!

I have tried to open files by opening itunes or quicktime or media player. I have been able to play the videos broefly but then they typically freeze.Uninstall Quicktime, Then reinstall it.

First, if there is a Safari icon in your Dock, drag it out. It should go up in a "poof" .. next try deleting this file: com.apple.dock.plist /Users/YourName/LIbrary/Preferences. Drag that file from your Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash. Now go to your Applications folder, launch Safari, when you see the Safari icon in the Dock, click the icon then click: Keep in Dock. See if it works.

I have already posed my question. I m having the latest version of Firefox and updated version of Windows 7 Professional.
That can only be the cookies from the normal session that were saved automatically before entering PB mode and not new cookies. The same for the history. If that isn't happening then you may not be in PB mode ([https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode Safe Mode]). Cookies and history from before the PB mode session are not removed and will be restored from disk.

FF 6.0.2 on Windows XP will not keep "no proxy setting", have reset manually many times
FF 6.0.2 keeps reseting to manual proxy setting. Windows XP system. Have reset to "no Proxy" many times but it resets to manual when I close browser.
Same thing happens with JDK 1.7u45

Last night while I was trying to delete an app, my iPod crashed. Usually it will restart just fine but it has not sucessfully turned off or restarted as far as I can tell. It stays on the black screen with the scrolling white wheel in the center and about every twenty minutes or so the screen will suddenly go white and then switch to the Apple logo like it's going to turn back on, but it just starts scrolling again. I have tried holding the lock button to try to get it to turn off and that hasn't worked and neither has going through the steps to reset (holding lock and home simultaneously until the apple logo appears). Any other suggestions or is it just toast?

Running Firefox 3.6 currentlyI had been trying to download 7.0.1 with Firefox 3.6. Just would NOT download. Well, I opened another browser, Safari, went to the download page, and the download worked. Who knew?

My ipod touch 8g has a black screen. I know that it works because when I pull it into the computer it connects and reads it also makes sounds when I touch the screen. Someone please help I don't want a $200.00 paperweight.

My IPOD will not turn on, even when when plugged into the computer. It will not sync or anything.
Hard Reset.
- Hold down the Home Button (Circle button with White Square in it) and the Sleep/Wake button
- Wait for the 'Slide to Unlock' screen pops up
- Test to see if the issue is resolved.
