My HTC Rezound will not turn on or take a charge.

I went to charge my phone Sunday evening and the indicator light came on.  I went to turn on my phone and the light went out and never came back on and my phone has not worked sense then.  This has happened one other time in the past but over time it corrected, but this time I haven't had any luck with it.  If someone could help me out I would really appreciate it.

tpgreene, this isn't what I like to hear. Let's figure out what's going on. Try holding the power button and Volume down Key. Does your device have any physical or liquid damage?

My ipad will not turn on or take a charge

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • TS3274 My iPad was working fine.  It should be charged 100%.  I turned it off and when I went back later it will not turn on or take a charge.  Sue

My other iPad is only 5 months old.  It was working fine but after I turned it off - now it will not turn back on.

If you are using iTunes 11 - it helps if you enable the sidebars if its not visible. From the iTunes menu at the top go to View>Show Sidebar. If iTunes does recognize the iPad, it should appear under the devices heading in the sidebar.
If it does not appear in the sidebar, you can try restoring using recovery mode. Recovery mode will totally erase the device so I hope that you have a backup that you can restore from. If you sync with iTunes, you will be able to sync all of your content back to the iPad after the backup is restored.
You can read about recovery mode here.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4097
Here are the Recovery Mode Instructions
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off iPad: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for iPad to turn off.
If you cannot turn off iPad using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the iPad turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to iPad. When you reconnect the USB cable, iPad should power on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the recovery mode alert that iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
    Use iTunes to restore iPad.

  • My IPad screen is dark and will not turn on. I have charged the battery and nothing. I have tried to reset the device as well with no luck. Any suggestions?

My IPad screen is dark and will not turn on. I have charged the battery and no luck. I have tried to restart it multiple times with no luck. During the restart, the screen will flicker like it is trying to restart but the silver apple never shows. Any suggestions?

Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke.  If it has never been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again.  Also, read this.

  • My MacBook Pro will not turn on, bought a new charge still no power, My MacBook Pro will not turn on, bought a new charge still no power

My MacBook pro will not turn on bought a new charger and it still will not turn on

Then your problem isn't with the charger/adapter. Which model MacBook Pro do you have (e.g., "15-inch Late 2011")?
It's likely that you'd be best served by taking your machine into your local Apple Store or AASP and having the Apple techs run diagnostics. The diagnosis and estimate to repair should be free.

  • Iphone 4 will not turn on with or without charger. Lock/sleep button is broke. Itunes will not identify phone.

My Iphone 4 shut off randomly last night while charging. It will not turn on with or without charger (I have tried multiple working outlets and usb ports. Didn't work)
The lock/sleep button is broke (I tried pushing it down on multiple surfaces as hard as I could while holding the home button. Didn't work.)
My Itunes will not identify the phone is hooked up to the computer (my itunes is completely up to date. I tried all the methods of pressing down the home button and pluuging in the usb chord while Itunes is running.Tested my roomates Iphone 4 with my chord and it charged and Itunes identified it. Tried his chord as well. Didn't work.)
All the advise I can find in these communities involves using the phone. The screen is black completely black no matter what I do. It makes no noise either (called it several times) I have read about 15 different posts on here and tried every method I found more than once. Do I just need to take it in?

Apple won't repair it, they just offer you an out of warranty replacement, cost is US $149. Me? I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a discontinued model. I'd sell it for parts on eBay or go to a third-party repair shop. Be aware, if you go the third-party repair shop route, you forfeit all support from Apple, including the right to an out of warranty replacement.

Will not turn on or screen remains dark
Connect iPod to power for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has enough charge to allow iPod to turn on.
If iPod does not turn on after ten minutes, try resetting it while it is still connected to power. Reset the iPod by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for at least six seconds or until you see the Apple logo appear.
If the Apple logo appears on the display, connect iPod to a computer and verify that it appears in iTunes and can play music. If iPod appears in iTunes and can play music, no further troubleshooting is needed.
If the screen remains dark and will not turn on, then your iPod may need service.
    Have a nice day,
    Mario

I have an iphone and i was sending a multimedia message and all of a sudden the phone turned off and will not turn back on. We have been charging it for almost half an hour or more and it still hasn't turned on. How do we fix it?

Wine, were you charging over the USB Connection or AC Power?  We've found in our organization that at times not enough power is generated over USB to recharge it in situations like this...I quote from the email of a fellow technician that i just received today...
I’ve had a couple of users up here bring their iPhones to me so dead that the phone was unresponsive, no matter what we did. One thing that many people do not realize is that the iPhone (iOS devices in general) have power management in them. The power management appears to be set up so that the device will not power on at all until the battery is at a certain minimum level. If the user will plug the device into the power adapter, not a USB port on a computer (laptops especially), and leave it for about an hour, maybe longer, the device will come back to life.
The reason I say they have to use the power adapter is because the USB port is not high enough power to bring the charge up fast enough for the battery to come back out of “hibernation”.
Each time I have had the users do the power adapter plug in, and leave it for a couple of hours, the devices have come back to life
    Hope this helps

  • My phone turned off and will not turn on even on the charger

My phone turned off and will not turn back on.  It doesn't react when charger is plugged in, no sign of life at all.  What do I do?

Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears, about 10 seconds.

  • HTC rezound will not hold charge while cable is plugged in. (*new battery*)

I have had the rezound for over a year now and around christmas time I was having problems with my battery not charging properly. I recently bought a new battery thinking that the battery was bad. Well it still did the same thing. I would plug in the cable at night the orange light would come on and the lightning bolt would come on saying its charging. I would wake up the next morning and the battery would be in the yellow or even in the red. sometimes the phone would shut off completely. Then I found out that if I put my phone in "airplane mode" it would charge up or just stay at the percentage when i plugged in the cord. Ive tried multiple charging cords to see if that was the problem and its not. Now that i have been dealing with the situation for over half a month now putting it in "airplane mode" will not charge the phone anymore or hold the charge. Now I do not have insurance on the phone and the htc warranty is out of date as i said before that ive had the phone for only a year. The sales clerk at verizon said that if i can prove the phone is in working conditon (im able to send texts messages or call from the phone) that i am eligible for I believe what she said was a 2 week warranty to be able to get the phone fixed. Because she said what the problem sounds like is the charging port in the phone has gone bad. Now is this true? or is she just bullsh***ing me just to try to get more money out of me or is there something i can do to fix the port myself? please i really need help soon because i leave for basic training in the army Feb.4th. so i can get this phone fixed asap.

The pram battery is dead and causing you to lose the date when it powers down. Your main battery is likely toasted as well. Until you get a usable battery, you won't know the condition of the charger, but if you are able to boot with the charger I would assume that its okay.

  • HTC Rezound Will not Connect to Internet via Mobile Network

    Hi,
I recently provided my phone to my youngest son so I went to Verizon and got a new sim card and had them set it up.  Everything worked for about a week or so.  Now the phone will not connect to the internet via the mobile network.  The only way he can connect to the internet is via the WiFi.
I have checked all settings and it all seems fine.  I also did 2 factory resets and still no go. I removed the Sim card, booted up phone and turned back off, re-installed the sim card and booted again.  Still same problem.  Signal strength is good but the 4g or 3g doesn't show up like it used to.  When I click on internet it says network not available and tries to bring up the WiFi.
Do I need a new Sim card?  Is the phone messed up?  Anyone have any idea?

I was having the exact same problem and it was driving me crazy. After reading some other threads, I removed my original SIM card and started up the phone until the home screen tells you the SIM card is missing (Emergency calls only). Switch it off, put the SIM card back in and restarted the phone. Got my mobile internet (4GLTE) coverage straight away.
Hope if works for you too!
    Good luck.

  • My iphone will not turn on even when its charging, how do i fix this?

ok so i bought a used iphone 4g offline. well i received it today and it does not work at all. I cannot turn on the iphone by the on/off button. Also I cannot turn on the iphone even while its charging, in fact it will not charge. As I Know Apple's policy on replacing the iphone, One must purchase a warranty. I Have not done so again due to me getting this iphone offline. Is There Any Tips On How To Get This To Work?

Not sure who you bought the iphone from (btw there is no "4g"), but if it was from ebay or some stranger, then I would get in touch with the person ASAP and ask about this problem.  You could also try using a different USB cable, since the current one MAY have a probelm with charging, as other users have experienced.  If nothing can charge the phone, then I would be very worried.
I assume you have tried the usual trick: reset.
