My husband and I share an itunes account, our child now has an ipod as well and we would like to be able to share SOME music w/her and RESTRICT some as well, is there a way to do this under one account?

Will we have to create a seperate account for her, or can we all have the same one? I would like to avoid 'checking' and 'unchecking' individual songs every time one of us tries to synch our ipods to the library.

FYI: iTunes account (used to make purchases) is not the same as iTunes library (iTunes on your computer with music, movies, etc.).

You can but you will not be able to limit what she syncs.

I don't recommend using (only) the checkmarks to select what to sync.
Each of you can create your own playlists then sync only those playlists.
Then add/delete from your own playlists to change iPod content.
The only time I uncheck items is if I rarely/never want to sync them to anything, such as Christmas music or old audiobooks.
I suggest you each have your own computer login account. Then everyone has their own contacts, calendars, and everything else.
You and your husband can share an iTunes library and let your daughter have her own.

If you want to reformat your machine and re-install all your apps and then restore from an earlier version of Time Machine you can. However if I were you I'd update the apps.

The AOL address I was using for my iTunes account has been deleted due to me not signing in for awhile and I'm afraid that I will lose all of my purchases made from my iphone when I sync it into iTunes for a much needed update and so that I can (hopefully) transfer its data to my new iPhone 4...
The only time I have synced my current iPhone was when I activated it but since then I have not been able to sync with my computer and now have a new one.

You don't need to access your e-mail account, just get into your Apple account and change the e-mail address. If you can't access your Apple account, then you have a bigger issue to contend with.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Thats not possible I'm afraid, only the Apple TV can receive an AirPlay stream, and even then only one at a time, unless you stream from a computer.

I would like to be able to download updates for my Iphone and Ipad on my work computer but my home computer has all of my music on Itunes. How do i downlaod updates at work without deleting all of the music which is stored on my home computer/Itunes?

- An iPod can only sync with one iTunes library. Yu can however manage music and videos among different computers by:
Using iPhone, iPad, or iPod with multiple computers
- To change syncing computer, move all the media to compute r#2
- Connect the iPod to #2 and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup
Note tha the iPod backup the iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music.

I accidentally bought an album on iTunes on the wrong account. In order to download it onto my iPod, I think that all of the songs from the other account would be deleted. Is there any way to just move the album to the other account (which is on the same computer), or use two accounts on one iPod?

Control-click the songs in iTunes, show them in the Finder, copy them to /Users/Shared/, log into the other account, and import them into iTunes.

No, you can't transfer an account's balance from one account to another account, nor can you use it to gift content to another account. Hello and thanks if you can help. I'm using 3.5 only because of the way latter versions place the new tab first under FILE, While in the older versions place it as your first choice. It's hard for some people to change, I one.
I never open tabs I only open windows.... SO the question is if I upgrade and would really would like to is there a way that I can customize my choices as to all ways open a new window and never a tab.

I have good headphones and would like to be able to listen to music louder and possibly with better quality audio. Any advice?

My old iPad had the 30 pin line in and I had an LOD cable which I ran to a headphone amp. This allowed me to use the headphone amp to control volume independent of the iPad as it was docked through the LOD. This made it louder and sound better than simply using the headphone line in of the iPad. I don't know how I can do this with my iPad Air 2 as I don't know of any cable that would connect into the 8 pin line in. I've looked for LODs to fit the 8 pin but can't find one. I bought a cheap 8 to 30 pin adapter but it only allows me to charge and sync, not dock. Does anyone have any suggestions?
