My husband just bought an ipad and now when we message each other we get the same message to our iphones, how do we stop this?

When I send a message to the ipad, from my iphone, I get the same message to my phone from my own number. He also gets one to his iphone when he sends me a message from his ipad. I know this has something to do with the apple id; we do use the same one. Is there a way to turn off the multiple messages? We don't want to get separate apple ids because the guy at the apple store told us we wouldn't be able to share the music we have....meaning music on my id wouldn't show up with the music on his id in our itunes. So we switched to using one account. Is there a way to fix this problem without having to create a separate apple id?

have you tried a different usb port? for the **** of it try restarting the computer as well

in this case the obvious other candidate would be an incompatible extension - can you disable them one-by-one to find out which one is interfering.

Is your problem with streaming audio broadcasts to and are you outside the UK ?
If so you may have fallen prey to the BBC's Content Distribution Network which often seems to produce problems they keep re-issuing advice such as:

My iPhone is connected to the same iCloud account as my iPhone is & once in a while my iPad will receive a phone call, not a FaceTime call, from one of my contacts that's trying to call me. It will say the contact's name up at the top like usual, it plays my iPhone ringtone, says "Slide to Answer" but also beneath that it says "from my iPhone." I still receive the phone call on my iPhone but I also receive it on my iPad & I'd obviously like it to stop. Can anybody help me out?

You can do this on the phone and the iPad. Settings>FaceTime>iPhone Cellular Calls>Off.

If you use the one iTunes account between the two of you then you can both download the ibook onto your iPads - I have some of my ibooks on both my iPad and iPhone. If you decide to have separate iTunes accounts then if you use the same computer's iTunes to sync to (with both accounts authorised on it) then you should be able to sync the book to iBooks on both devices.
If you have separate accounts and sync to separate computers then you can copy the ibooks between the computers via, for example, a flash-drive and add it to the second computer's iTunes (File > Add To Library). There is a risk that if you sign into the second iPad (or computer) with a different iTunes account and re-download one of its past purchases that the iPad (or comptuer) will become tied to that account for 90 days, so copying it over manually would be better than re-downloading : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627

The gift code field is an optional field, it's an alternative to credit cards for paying for content from iTunes. Gift cards are not available in all countries (so you may not be able to fill it in anyway), and they are country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue) - if you are in a country where they are available then you might be able to buy them from Apple stores, supermarkets, electrical stores etc.

The apple symbol shows up, then the screen turns all black and weird looking with a strange green color at the bottom, and just turns off. It keeps doing this over and over. It tells me to try and restore it but I can't. HELP!!!

Try this. It worked for a few users after a drop.
Turn the iPad over and give it a very HARD slap on the back. May take several slaps.

I think the problem lays with Last.fm. I had the same exact problem as you. In your processes screen, end the task "lastfmhelper.exe" Last.fm still scrobbles. The tracks don't skip, although I notice there is still a bit of a lag in the first part of the song - but if you can deal with that, no skipping. I think you will have to end that task everytime you boot up your computer, or uninstall last.fm completely until they fix it; it is a bug in their software, as opposed to iTunes.
