My husband just got me an iPad 2 for Mothers day and today when I tried to sign on it is saying I don't have any cellular data left? I'm at work and we have wi-fi, why can't I access my webmail and the internet with just that?

My husband just got me an iPad2 for Mothers day and today when I tried to sign on to it it said I do not have a cellular data network? I'm at work where we have Wi-fi. Can't I just use that to sign onto my webmail and to get onto the internet?

If you are in a wi-fi only area, then you need to join a wi-fi network. Does your office have wi-fi? Has the Admin given you the iformation to join the wi-fi network?
To join a wi-fi network...
1. Go to Settings/Wi-Fi
2. Tap Other...
3. Enter the name of your wi-fi network
4 Tap Security
5. Tap the type of security the network uses and return to Wi-Fi
6. Enter the password and tap Join

Did the message say what was corrupt. It is not clear from your description of "...it was corrupt" what "it" is. Sounds like the download of Lion was corrupt. Download it again. Downloaded files sometimes get corrupted due to network connection glitches or interruptions.

Problems with buttons and links at the top of the page not working can be caused by an extension like the Yahoo! Toolbar or a Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection<br />
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"

Why can't I access iCloud after resetting the password?

For months now I have not been able to access my MAC email thru Mail from our MacBook Air. After not bothering for a while (have other things to do like most of us) I have reset it again and same problem. I can access it from any (!!) other computer including the iPads, iMac and even my shielded Windows based work computer using MS Explorer... If I try to use Safari to log into the Cloud from the MB Air I also can not get in from the MB Air despite being able to from any other computer.
Can anyone help with this? I would be most grateful as this is more than odd...
P.S. I have deleted the account and tried to add it again using the new password.

OK, no responses (normally quite quick and helpful), could mean this is a unique failure or user error. I have just spent half a day trying to fix and searching on the internet for solutions but see nothing that works. I am close to ditching the Mail and Mac related email system if I can not resolve in the next 2 days or so. This is a big change so if anyone out there knows why this MB Air laptop does nto allow us to log in whereas other computers (Macs and otherwsise do) I would greatly appreciate your advice. I am sure this is an authentication issue but the cause is becoming irrelevant.

Why can't I no longer connect to the Internet via my AirPort Extreme Base?

I suddenly can no longer connect to the Internet through my AirPort Extreme. Everything was fine until this morning. My Base Station is connected to a DSL modem and then my computer connects to the Internet wirelessly through the Base Station. The center light is on in the Base Station. The left light flickers telling me there is wireless activity. I can still access my printer through the Base Station. But the right light is no longer flickering. I have rebooted everything several times. Does anyone have insight into this problem. This is the second time this has happened. For over a month I could not access the Internet through the Base Station, and then suddenly and arbitrarily it started working again. This morning it just stopped again.

I've had the same problem - mine started after I upgraded to 10.4.8 on my MacBook a week or so ago.
I can see other networks around my home and when I travel, but can only connect via ethernet cable (and my ISP is comcast - I thought the upgrade was supposed to help make connecting with comcast better).
My G3 has no problem connecting, so I don't think it's exactly a problem with my modem, or base station, or even comcast. I think it has something to do with my base station and upgrading to 10.4.8. Btw, dropping back to 10.4.6 hasn't helped.

Hi from Perth. I am getting exactly the same problem. I've been using Apple TV for six months, updated software a couple of times, no problem, but suddenly today, it can't see the Internet any more. I've rebooted everything. Reset settings, pulled out plugs, no dice. I've made no changes whatsoever to any part of the setup.

Why can't i upload a document to the internet ?

i was attempting to download my resume to h careers and all my documents are a light shade of gray and won't let me select for download .. not exactly sure what to d.. I've attempted to change the format several times. any help ?

What tool/service do you use to upload your photos ? Is it a particular webpage or a service ? The server to which you are uploading could also be the problem. I had issues with uploading photos to eBay for instance for a while, sometimes a new software on the selling plateform or an update of the internet browser can lead to this (usually it is temporary until someone fixes it).

Why Can't I access Mail By Clicking The Mail Icon?

I used to have no problem accessing my Mail by simply clicking that Mail icon on the dashboard. Now when I click I get nothing and instead have to go to a browser and type in iCloud, click on that link which takes me to a page to sign in. Why is that happening? Sure doesn't make it easy to access mail.

It has now a ping feature after it's done, IP info, and it takes less time!

By the way, it still does time a bit of time. The reason is because I want these extra few seconds for it to connect. Sometimes you might get an IP and not connect instantly.

There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on seven different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary from version to version and OS to OS. So before anyone can help, they need information to work with. Basic stuff:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
- Did it ever work properly?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.

You cannot transfer the purchases to another account. What she has purchased with your account will always be tied to your ID. That's the way that it works. You can have her create her own Apple ID to use with Cloud account, FaceTime and Messages.
But if you create a new ID for her, she will have to flip flop between the two Apple ID's in order to update apps, and if she wants to make purchases with her own ID, you also have to consider the fact that she may run the risk of locking herself out of her own ID by downloading a past purchase using your ID, after she starts buying with her own ID.
