My i chat balloon is on the bottom of my computer and it will not open - I have even called my daughter to see if she can open it by inviting me to chat and my buddy list is gone!!!!! I don't know what I hit or where I go from here??? But it seem to me

Hi,
With iChat open go to the Window Menu
This should list logged in Buddy Lists (Accounts)
Use the keystrokes listed to bring the Buddy list back in to view.
If there are no accounts shown to be logged in open the iChat Menu itself and go to Accounts and choose one.
A Chat window may show if you are using iChat 6 in Lion and closed the app with that chat window open (as Lion reopens the app in the "State" it was in before it was Quit or the computer was shut down.)

Firefox's option bar for saving username and passwords will not show, I have it set to remember passwords for sites. Can sites be added manually?

I was using Norton to remember my user names and passwords, however I do not use Norton any longer. Firefox does not give me the option of saving passwords even though I have it set to remember them.
There are no sites in the exceptions list. How can I reset Firefox so the option bar shows?

The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. The 5G iPod requires iTunes 10.7 or later and that requires OSX 10.6.8 or later.

The Intuit rep said they don't "support" QuickbooksPremier on a "virtual machine." Do you know what I risk by using it, anyway? thanks for the advice about Boot Camp vs Parallels, BTW!
I use QuickBooks Pro for Mac, so I haven't had need to try any of the Windows versions in a VM. But I can't think why it wouldn't work. From within the VM, QuickBooks Premier would believe it is operating on PC hardware within Windows.
I would guess they mean that the multiple user support wouldn't work from within the VM. But I would think that would also work. Windows can see the Internet from within the VM, which means it can see your network. So if Windows can see the network, then QB Premier should be able to, too.
I know you can get Parallels as a demo, and maybe you could get QB Premier as trial software. So if you already have a retail copy of Windows to load into a VM, it would only cost you time to test what's possible.

Sounds like you do have an Exchange account setup on your phone. Have a Gmail or Hotmail account? They can both be setup as Exchange accounts. Have a work email account?

Suddenly I can not select anything within the top inch or so of any web page. The scroll bar arrow doesn't work at the top. I don't know what to do. I tried updating my browser but the problem still exists.

Everything worked fine on Tues. I shut down my system and then on Wed. morning, the problem appeared. Anything within the top inch or so of a webpage is unavailable to select. It is like there is an inch of the page that is dead. It is that way on every website that I visit with Firefox. It does not happen if I use internet explorer, which I do not like and do not want to have to go back to using. Please help!!! My sister in law has the same problem with firefox.

I'm getting a lot of crashes with ver. 4.0. The most common is this - js::Shape::trace(JSTracer*) I don't know what it is or where to find info. Any suggestions?

I get about 5-6 crashes a day and this one seems to be the most prevalent. I don't know how to troubleshoot these things.

Ipod touch 4's files are deleted whenever i add a new file into it through itunes (the files i have on my ipod touch aren't in my itunes before hand) and i don't know what to do to keep these files from being erased. PLEASE HELP :(

You want to transfer purchases from the iPod to your iTunes account.
Connect the device to iTunes but do not sync.
Select File > Transfer Purchases.
This will copy the content purchased via iTunes on the iPod to your iTunes account.

Something may have happened when I cleaned out the cache & cookies ... but, I am not sure. I have lines in my aol email now ... the font is all different ... and, when I am on my own FB page, there are black boxes around everything & I cannot see my own photos in my albums.
