    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Iphone 5 in boot loop and isn't being recognized by my computer.

Hey, I'm having a serious problem with my Iphone 5 right now. A few days ago my Iphone began having problems. I clicked on an app then i received multi colored vertical lines across my screen then i experienced the boot loop. Every time i turn on my Iphone it is stuck in the boot loop with the apple logo fading out every 3-5 seconds then it will flash with a white horizontal line across the top quickly and the boot loop will restart itself. I tried connecting my Iphone to my computer but it isn't being recognized. Also i tried various other computers but yet none of them recognized the phone. Also, previously i had some minor problems with the battery it would sometimes die with about 15-20 percent battery still left maybe this may contribute to this continuous boot loop i am not sure. Can anyone please help me i just got this phone not too long ago. Thank you in advanced

also i have tried a hard restore but i still experience the flashing apple logo after i attempt it

  • My iPhone is not being recognized under "My Computer"

When I first got my iPhone, I had a Dell. So I synced my phone to that computer. I just got a new iMac, and have switched everything over. My iPod shows up under "My Computer," but my iPhone doesn't. And I first synced my iPod to the Dell. I've been able to sync my phone and my iPod in iTunes and transfer pictures from my phone to my computer with relative ease. I've restarted and reset my phone, but it still does not show up under "My Computer." Do I need to contact Apple Support or is there something else I can do? Or is this really not something to be concerned with?

Hey I need some help please. I just downloaded iTunes 8 and signed up for MobileMe. After doing this I was trying to sync my iPhone in iTunes so I could get the MobileMe app on my phone. However, now my phone isn't being recognized in iTunes. I've tried all the suggestions on the support page except reinstalling iTunes because I'm concerned about losing my music files. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My ipod isn't being read by any computer

I have an Ipod classic. It stopped being read by any computer. It still plays music, however, after about 3-4 songs, it takes awhile to play another. I save a few files on it and was wanting to figure out who I could take it to to recover any of those files. I know that if I send it to Apple it will get wiped. Need to get those files, so any kinda advise or suggestions would help me out.

It could be an indication or a damaged or dying hard drive.  I would recommend doing a disk diagnostic on the iPod's HD using the instructions given by turingtest2 in this older thread.  He also covers what the resulting numbers indicate.

  • IPhone Isn't Being Recognized By PC

I have been recharging an older iPod on my PC at work for a few days now. It was formatted on my Mac at home, so when the computer prompts me to reformat it, I simply click No and let the iPod charge from the computer. I don't try to sync it or anything, it's just there to charge.
The problem is, after charging the older iPod on my PC, it doesn't recognize my iPhone when I plug it in to sync it with the iTunes on that computer.
Any ideas on how to get the computer to look for the iPhone so I can sync my music?

    Hi BadGyalShani,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

  • Why isnt my iphone charging or being recognized on my computer?

i just bought the 3gs 2 days ago and it was working totally fine untill today. I went to charge it and nothing showed up. so i plugged it in to my computer to see if i could reset it or something but it dosnt show on itunes. There is a message displaying on my computer that it dosnt recognize the devices. What should i do? Help pleaaassseeee

When you say you went to charge it and nothing showed up, what exactly do you mean? Did it not charge? If that is the case and it also isn't recognized by your computer you either have a faulty cable or 30-pin connector.

  • My refurbished iPod touch 4g isn't being recognized on my computer

I just bought a refurbished iPod touch 4th Generation from the Apple store and it shipped yesterday. When I tried syncing it with iTunes this morning, it was not even being recognized by my PC. My computer recognized it as first and said everything was installed, but when I went to sync it to iTunes it said it was unable to sync so I unplugged it and now not even the computer is recognizing it. The iPod just says it's charging when plugged in and computer does not say i have anything plugged in.

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    I would start with
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
Make sure the computer has iTunes version 10.7 installed.

  • My iphone 4 died, it won't turn on, it won't charge, it isn't being recognized by my computer. Holding the home  lock buttons isn't working. I can't restore it because it won't show up in iTunes. All I see is a red battery sign. Help?

My iPhone 4 has gone completely dead and is unresponsive. Can anyone help?

I would never recommend tinyumbrella. I've had to respond to hundreds of posts from people who used it and found the it trashed the network database on their computer.
If you can't recover using approved methods rather than hacking your phone (which is what tinyumbrella does) then you've probably got a hardware problem.
So what should you do? First, connect it to a charger for 15 minutes. If it doesn't recognize the charger try a different one and a different cable. Then hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears. Hold up to 1 minute. If nothing happens your phone really is broken, either a broken connector or a bad battery.
If you DO get some response see this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
Of course, if you have already tried tinyumbrella this won't work until you repair the damage to your network database on your computer. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

  • My iphone isn't being recognized by itunes and is stuck on the itunes/plug symbol on the screen.

I got an error from an update and now my iphone 4 doesn't show up on itunes as a device.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  I have the most recent version of itunes downloaded.

    Quit iTunes.
Disconnect your iPhone from your PC.
    Go to Control Panel.
List installed software and remove the driver software for the iPhone. It's named something like "Driver or Device, Apple iPhone".
    Restart Windows 7.
Connect your iPhone, make sure it the screen is not locked.
Windows should automatically re-install the driver software for the iPhone now.
If it has done that, start iTunes.
iTunes should now detect your iPhone again.
    Kind regards,
    emeu1

  • My iPod isn't being recognized by the computer.

I've had my classic since this past christmas (it's the new 120g), and last week, everything got wiped off of my iPod. I'm not sure what happened exactly. I restored it on my computer, and re-synced it. Ever since then, my iPod has been showing the big red X at least once a day. Sometimes I can restart it a couple of times, and it will be fine. Today it happened, and no matter how many times I reset it, it still shows the X. I have it plugged into my computer, but the computer doesn't recognize it. It doesn't show up on My Computer or iTunes or anything. I have no idea how to restore it or what do now. I've tried using the "contact the experts" thing online, but when I plug in the serial number for a classic (8M8398FV2C5), it tells me that the number is invalid. That's the number on the back of my iPod and when I plug that number in the search bar, it comes up with a classic.
Please help me, my iPod is my baby.
